Located directly on a pristine white sandy beach, close to the Boardwalk, St Lawrence Gap and Bridgetown. Our fun, relaxing and personable ambience allows us to offer a memorable guest experience unlike other large Caribbean resorts. Every hotel room has a private patio with either a stunning-full or partial-view of the beach and Caribbean Sea and are equipped with 1 king or 2 twin beds and a queen size sofa bed, microwave, refrigerator, kettle, toaster, iron, ironing board, safe, and hairdryer. Our fully self catering One and Two bedroom apartments and cottages are located in the Annex complex with garden views only with separate bedroom(s), kitchen and living room spaces. All of our accommodations are comfortable, spacious and clean; equipped with modern amenities to ensure an enjoyable beach holiday in Barbados! Guests of all ages who love the beach and crave some "vitamin sea" will enjoy safe swimming and snorkelling in our large sheltered lagoon. There are plenty of trees for natural shade, lots of free sun beds and guests will definitely enjoy a visit to our friendly, "happy place" Captain Charlie's Beach Bar, open daily weather permitting. The stretch of beach between "The Coconut" and the Hilton is also home to hundreds of critically endangered Hawksbill turtles every summer when they return to nest and lay their eggs. Spot the turtles! We have a spacious sun deck with comfortable pool lounges, tables, chairs, umbrellas and a shaded gazebo area with sofas and chairs for relaxing with friends. Both of our restaurants and bars, Coco's and Jake's are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We have free WiFi throughout the property. Our gift shop located in the lobby is open Monday to Saturday, and is fully stocked with resort wear, souvenirs, some grocery items, snacks, wine and spirits. Our front desk and security services operate 24 hours a day for our guests' safety and convenience. Coconut Court does not have a gym, spa or laundry but all of these services are available nearby. Our activities desk is open Monday to Saturday for guests to book car rentals, island tours, catamaran cruises etc. There is entertainment provided several nights each week including live music, karaoke and moonlight movies on the beach. *Please note that all operating times and schedules are subject to change without notice. Well known for warm and friendly hospitality, our guests feel right at home while enjoying clean, comfortable accommodation, in a convenient location, near to all the best amenities that Barbados has to offer. Coconut Court Beach Hotel garners acclaim for its friendly staff and spotless accommodations, set against a lively backdrop that guests find welcoming. Nestled on a beachfront that impresses most travelers, the hotel offers spacious, well-appointed rooms, although a few visitors mention dated decor.
While the hotel provides a range of amenities and is praised for its cleanliness, some guests feel that the dining options and amenities don't justify the price, citing slow service and a lack of nearby restaurants as minor drawbacks.

Detailed Reviews
Stayed here for a week as it was our first time in Barbados, the rooms were clean and comfortable as we had a superior double very spacious, excellent view of the beach. Good facilities in the room with a full size under the counter fridge, a microwave and kettle, hairdryer and free safe, (as most hotels I've been in you pay for the safe).
breakfast was great, a good selection to choose from and omelettes made to order, they also keep coming around filling your cup up with coffee or tea.
The beach is to die for lovely white sands and turquoise to blue waters and the different fish in the reef area were great to see, some fish even nipped at my fingers, great experience. The sea was shallow up to and just after the reef, we had a walk up the beach and our beach was the best as it was just like paradise very pretty with the palm trees.
Hotel is in a lovely location and when you walk outside you can catch a bus across the road, the bus ride was£3.50 Bajan dollars no matter how far you go. The racecourse was a few minutes walk up the road along with George Washington's house.
We did have food at the hotel on two occasions, one was the barbecue evening and it was tasty as we had the pork ribs and the chicken, the other was ok but was not hot but just warm, food was a bit expensive at the hotel.
The shop in the hotel was good.
The staff were very friendly and polite they did look after you very well and always spoke if they passed you, always happy to help.
Lovely hotel and if back in this area of Barbados we will stay there again.
Thank you for the great hospitality

Dear Friend Thank you very much for the five star review and for taking the trouble to write. It certainly sounds like everything was to your satisfaction and that you got around on the buses ok. Pleased to hear that we will be your number one choice if you come back to Barbados. We certainly hope you do! Barbados has taken the first steps out of lockdown so there is some light at the end of the tunnel. Make sure you keep an out for the great deals ahead! Best wishes Coconut Court

Wonderful hotel. Very friendly owners and superb location right on the beach. We have been here a week now of a 16 night stay and have found it to be perfect. Very good value for money compared with many other hotels and the way the quarantined guests are treated here is very impressive. Quarantined guests are given exclusive use of their newly refurbished pool area and breakfast at a separate time and lunch available by the pool or restaurant. A number of local restaurants will deliver to you room for evening meals in that period . We enjoyed the very comfortable sun beds and bar service during our 3 day quarantine period prior to our 2nd negative result. The rooms are lovely and well equipped. We had booked a luxury direct sea view room with a kitchenette. All newly arrived guests are allocated a room in a part of the hotel and then if they are staying on like us they move to their room originally booked. The staff all wear masks on duty and it’s feels a very safe environment. Breakfast is good and Jakes restaurant bar across the road is good too. There are organised trips from the hotel which we are looking forward to. We are extremely happy here. The usual activities of live music and bbqs etc are of course not permitted but this hasn’t affected our stay. If anything it has made it feel extremely relaxing so far

Returned to Coconut Court 2 years after our previous visit. Fair amount of upgrade has taken place since our last visit and that has made a big difference to restaurant and bar areas and the shop with many rooms upgraded. The biggest selling point this hotel has, however, apart from it's idyllic location, is its people. Every single person we met was a superb ambassador for the place - a lot of familiar faces which was great. We went bed & breakfast which was fine - good choice at breakfast time and also great lunch menu with good a la carte menu in the restaurant at night. Beds and towels changed with better frequency than most other hotels we have stayed in
Great location for our holiday and a real highlight was Ted's tour which I will review separately but don't miss it
Real wrench to leave the place after a super couple of weeks - we will be back as soon as we possibly can.

We had been looking forward to an enjoyable family trip at the hotel, based on the reviews. There are definitely some good things: The newly renovated rooms are nice, but the older ones are very dated and in need of updating. The beach is beautiful, with a reef and you can snorkel and see fish. The staff, for the most part, are kind and helpful. It is lovely to sit at the Bar and look out on the waves.
However, the breakfast has little variety, the coffee is poor and it gets very crowded very quickly. The noise from the road is also loud - the taxis beep late into the night and start again early in the morning. Our room was cleaned erratically -some days it was done well, on others, the sand stayed on the floor, towels were not replaced, nor was the bin emptied. We only ate at the restaurant once when we had the beachside BBQ and my kids could not finish their burgers as they had a strange taste.
The hotel is not easily accessible given the number of steps. Also, water pools in many locations. One day, when it rained, there was a huge puddle of water at the top of the concrete steps. The hotel did not clear it, and simply put up a caution sign, right in the middle of the stairwell. In my opinion, guests need to be careful when moving around the hotel as there are lots of very slippery surfaces (painted concrete).

Dear Friend, thank you for taking the time to review our hotel after your recent stay. I am really very sorry that you were not 100% happy and satisfied. I have noted all of your points and they will be discussed thoroughly at our weekly management meeting this week. Guest feedback is very important for us and it makes us aware of issues that we ourselves may have missed. I am truly sorry that we disappointed you and your family in some areas and we hope that you will give us another chance in the future. Coconut Court is our labour of love and it is always a work in progress. Thank you and best wishes to you and your family for a lovely summer. Yours sincerely, Linda Lampkin (owner)

Warning do not stay at Coconut Court Beach Hotel in Barbados.
We spent a lot of money to stay at this hotel for 2 weeks in October 2020, and we thought it might be eventful with Covid about. The hotel had recently chosen to be a quarantine hotel, so we could come straight here, and not quarantine at another hotel first.
What a surprise we got when we arrived though. We were quarantined on the hotel grounds, so no beach, but the hotel bar shut at 6pm ( no food from 4pm ), and all evening entertainment had been cancelled.
You could order food to your room from Jakes restaurant opposite the hotel, but we had one meal at a cost of nearly £200 for ordinary food. This was also owned by the hotel, so quite a captive audience for massively expensive food.
We discovered Hopscotch at this stage, a local company that will deliver from any restaurant, so we managed to get our own food.
After 5 days of quarantine we were free to enjoy our holiday, or so we thought. The hotel then decided that their onsite facilities were only to be used by quarantined people. We could only use the bar between 8.30 and 10, and there was no using the swimming pool or area around it. We could use their beach bar until 5pm, but it had no roof, which was nice in the rain.
We complained to the hotel about the lack of facilities we paid for, and asked for some kind of partial refund, but they told us we could leave if we want to.
We did get an £80 meal voucher for their own restaurant, which went towards a £200 meal one evening 🤣.

Response from Linda Lampkin, Owner at Coconut Court Beach Hotel
Responded Oct 14, 2020
Dear Guest, We are genuinely sorry that you were unhappy with your stay. We have tried our best to make you comfortable and happy. Most hotels in Barbados are now quarantine hotels - because all folks visiting our island are required to have a second test done 4-5 days after their first test which was done at home. We want our guests to enjoy their holiday from the start - not be stuck in their hotel room for several days waiting for test results. This is the best solution that we could come up with: - All newly arrived guests can start their holiday immediately - they can use our brand new renovated swimming pool and pool deck areas. All beaches in Barbados are public so the beach is off-limits until guests have received their second consecutive negative test result. This is for everyone's safety. Once the second test result is returned then guests can use the beach, Captain Charlies and can leave the hotel premises anytime. I just enjoyed my morning coffee down at the beach bar - it is absolutely gorgeous! Beautiful sunshine, calm lagoon, white sand, shade trees, free beach lounges. If I was from UK, USA and Canada and I had the opportunity to spend a couple of weeks at Coconut Court - on the pool deck then on the beach, it would be a no-brainer for me. I wish that I could upload photos of the beach and pool this morning - Coconut Court sits directly on one of the best beaches on the island. We truly live in paradise! Right now, with low hotel occupancy that is changing everyday, it is not possible for us to open all of our food and beverage outlets. Guests are free to use Cocos for breakfast and lunch - guests that have two negative test results can also use Captain Charlies and Jakes for dine-in service. We are not taking advantage of guests - we haven't been in this business for the past 45 years by being rip-off con artists. Folks that would like to see our menus - please visit our Jakes FaceBook page - we actually reduced all prices on our Jakes menus by 25% this summer before we reopened. It is not business as usual and we recognize that fact so we decided to reduce prices and put different specials on offer so that we could get more business. Actually, most of our trade at Jakes is local clientele, not hotel guests. They surely would not come if we were too expensive or served poor quality food and drinks. We have nightly dinner and cocktail specials everyday too. You should not be ordering delivery food from local sources while you are in quarantine. The whole idea of quarantine is to limit guest interaction with locals until they receive their second negative test result. Thank you for your consideration. I have made no bones about the hotel covid-19 protocols - they are clearly posted on our website and I also email our tour partners oversees regularly with updates. I really don't know what more I can do. We have waived cancellation fees until December 2020 - if at anytime, you had decided to cancel, then you would have been free to do so. We cannot be any more fair than that. You renewed your wedding vows on the beach yesterday afternoon - it was for this reason that we gave you flowers, sparkling wine, a card and vouchers for dinner. We always give our guests celebrating a special occasion, a gift from us. From your emoji, I guess that you didn't appreciate our kind and thoughtful gesture and that's a shame. We told you that you were free to leave our hotel to find alternative accommodation at another hotel as we are unable to change our protocols for you personally. We offered to provide you with a letter stating that we agreed to waive all charges for unused nights for you to take home to your tour company so that you could be refunded when you get home. You are the person who didn't want to do that - I don't know what more we can do. We cannot be any more fair than that. Sincerely, Linda Lampkin (owner)

5 star across the board, I lived in Rock Dundo in the late 70's & returned March 2020 this time with my wife. I had to do something special for my 50th year the wife always knew how much Barbados & the Bajan's was in my blood & heart. After seeing You tube & face book pictures/videos of Coconut Court, I knew it had to be this hotel. The hotel is graded 3X but feels more due to the service & friendliness of the Blades family & their excellent staff. The hotel has been owned by the Blades for 45 years & it really shows. We stayed in room 98 (In The Meantime) A quirky room plaque they put next to all the rooms, all different phrases & pretty cool. The views are amazing & the first week the menu was full as was the entertainment, unfortunately processes had to be put in place due to the C-19 virus. The Blades did everything they could to protect their guests & staff, & these processes didn't spoil our hard earned holiday at all. We will return next year when the Barbados government once again open the doors & we can all return to this wonderful family owned hotel. The wife & I spent two weeks here & loved every minute. So big up to brothers Ted & Mark, Tisha, Felicia, Boston, Hadfield & all the Blades & staff for giving us wonderful memories. People don't bother with the silly money big all inclusive hotels, stay where they really care about their service & guests. Their food is great & location is excellent with Jake's, Mama Mias restaurants on their doorstep, not forgetting their own Coco's & Captain Charlie's. Also Daddy's convenience shop over the road. See you next year guys/gals keep up the good work. One Love Barbados Ayi🇧🇧😘 Daz & Karen Young Room 98 9th-23rd March 2020

Dear Daz and Karen Thank you so much for your review and for spending such a special occasion with us at Coconut Court. We are Bajans and we're really glad you felt at home after so long away from the island. In the Meantime is a song by Alison Hinds, one of the great soca legends of Barbados. She became the first woman to win both the Barbados Road March and the Party Monarch in 1997 with In The Meantime. You can find on the internet if you haven't heard it yet. Every room at Coconut Court is named after a Caribbean song, so next time you visit, check out the room name and listen to it while you're looking at the ocean view! Good to hear that you loved the food and all in all "loved every minute"! So we hope to see you next year. In the meantime, don't forget to book direct and get breakfast and airport transfers for free! Best wishes Coconut Court

We have just returned from a wonderful 8 day stay at the CCBH.
There’s a lot to like about this hotel, it’s location particularly on a lovely beach with its artificial reef which gives you the opportunity to snorkel safely with turtles often sited, very friendly staff and fellow patrons, spacious bedroom sizes and cleanliness with additional benefits of free fast Wi-Fi, air conditioning, room safe and well maintained pool.
The only reason it doesn’t quite achieve 5 stars is the cost to eat at the restaurant, which incidentally cook fabulous meals however average dinner cost with wine for two would be around $250bbd, other slight niggles include noise from the road particularly when the reggae buses pass start honking before 6am along with a nearby rooster who clearly is operating on another time zone!
We understand speaking to fellow stayers that it’s beneficial to book ground or first as the road noise isn’t noticeable here, we were on the top floor and stepped access certainly keeps you fit. Lack of a hot plate limits your cooking opportunities here but fully understand why with an on site restaurant to fill.
It would also benefit the hotel to have more than one late check out guest room to book as we ended up changing in the reception room toilet as all 1/2 hour allocations had been booked (flying mid evening) the hotel was fully booked and ordinarily you could book your own room beyond the 11am check out time.
All in all a fabulous stay here despite these niggles, the restaurants opposite (Jake’s and Mamma Mia are very good) the fellow stayers we’re so friendly being a mixture of nationalities principally Canadians, Americans and British met some lovely people here and the the hotel rum punches really hit the spot, would wholly recommend this hotel and location and note it’s pretty booked up already for the early months of 2024, there are many repeat stayers here and that’s the best recommendation of all.

I give this 4 out of 5 in the knowledge that it is what it is - a 3 star hotel. Reading some other reviews it seems some thought they were getting a luxury resort.
Location is Brilliant, right on the beach where there are plenty of sun loungers and some of the best off beach snorkelling we have seen - great variety of fish and even the occasional turtle without going out of your depth.
Rooms are good and fairly well equiped (TV even got Netflix). Room had a fridge and a microwave as well as a coffee maker and kettle ( I was slightly confused that a coffee maker was provided but no coffee - nor was there any on sale in the hotel shop). Bathroom was fine and the shower worked well. View from the balcony could not be bettered.
Breakfast was fine although some of the staff struggled to give you a smile till you engaged with them. We ate in the restaurant a couple of times and it was good enough though the menu didn't change apart from the specials so would get a bit monotonous on half board. There are plenty of good restaurants within walking distance.
Overall a great holiday and I would use the hotel again if I was going back to Barbados.

We ate in the restaurant a couple of times and it was good enough though the menu didn't change apart from the specials so would get a bit monotonous on half board. There are plenty of good restaurants within walking distance.
Overall a great holiday and I would use the hotel again if I was going back to Barbados.

Dear David Thank you very much for your review. We are so pleased to hear that you would stay with us again - there is no better compliment than a repeat visit. Some good advice for fellow guests - coffee is available at the supermarkets, but I shall draw the manager's attention to your remarks. We do rotate the menu at Cocos Restaurant every week, so that guests staying a second week get more choice. Glad you got to see some turtles - our beach is an important nesting site for the Hawksbill turtle. They will be returning this summer to nest and guests often see the hatchlings make their break for the sea! See you again soon. Best wishes Coconut Court

I was a little anxious about booking a 3* Hotel for our first stay in Barbados as previously we had only visited for cruise stops; I need not have worried.
Coconut Court was a lovely place to stay.
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff to ensure our stay was perfect, they were friendly and accommodating.
The room had everything we needed, the menu could have been a little more varied but having said that the food served was cooked to a high standard.
The location I dont think could be any better. The beach is beautiful with plenty of shady areas to retreat to if required. It was never overcrowded and the beach bar was close by and provided all the necessary refreshments we required.
I would definitely recommend this lovely friendly hotel; we had the best time there.

Dear Friend Thank you very much for your review. Great to hear that all was well and thank you for recommending us to other travellers. Good also that the staff took care of you and were friendly and accommodating. We do rotate our menus so that people staying for more than a week can sample some other food - but I'm pleased to hear that everything was cooked to a high standard. We look forward to welcoming you back to Coconut Court soon. Best wishes Coconut Court

+1
We booked a package through BA and changed it to CC as the potential covid restrictions at our previously booked hotel were restrictive regardless of vaccination status so we swapped. Check in was a tad slow but it’s the Caribbean….. Taxi from the airport was $38 as per the official receipt. Sign at the hotel for the return journey was $50.
We had requested a high floor room and were allocated a third floor room with great views across the beach. The room was clean with good air conditioning which was fairly quiet. Good size fridge with a kettle and toaster provided. Bathroom was big enough and in over 20 years of travelling to Barbados coconut court has the best shower we’ve had. Always had hot water and the pressure was excellent.
A previous review mentions the beer prices. I personally felt $8 for a beer is excessive. 4 for $11 across the road at a shop. There’s a not a lot to do restaurant and bar wise around CC so personally I think the hotel could make the prices more attractive to keep the money in their tills. There’s no need for West coast prices.
The grounds are wonderful and kept clean by a great bunch of staff and the beach is great also.
All of the staff were attentive and always stopped to say hello. We used the activities office to book a day out, again, really helpful and booked the day cheaper than booking it direct.
We can see why people return here again and hopefully it’ll be on our list for the future.

There is a little market across the street. We took a taxi to a large supermarket up the road and loaded up on breakfast items because the hotel food cost is expensive. Nothing is cheap except Rum. They do not take cash for their 2 hotel restaurants so the tally is given to you at checkout with added VAT. Not many restaurants in the immediate area. Lots of kids in the pools. Nice clean hotel but won’t be back.
The hotel also precharges $50. US per day for expenses.
There is a book swap in the lobby by donation to local animal shelter.
Not sure about the iron in the room.
Think the other answers pretty much cover it.
We only used the mugs provided but there was plenty of crockery etc.
Barbados is nice but Bridgetown seemed run down from when we were last there - think they haven’t fully recovered fr on the lack of tourists during covid.
As mentioned, get the shared minibuses to St George’s Gap and Oistins areas for restaurants, bars etc. Prices range from high to low depending on where you go. We had very some nice meals at two of the “better” restaurants for about £100 for two which is probably more than we’d pay in the UK but they were good!
The hotel itself is in a nice but quiet location on a lovely sandy beach.
