SINCE THE HOTEL DELETED ALL REVIEWS FROM 2022 AND THE YEARS BEFORE THAT HERE IS MY REVIEW AGAIN: We stayed in Thalia Hotel in July 2022 and I'd avoid this hotel at all costs. Really basic dirty rooms with so many issues, shower didn't work, toilet wasn't flushing, door wasn't locking, the manager didn't care to fix anything. The water wasn't running most of the times or it was only boiling hot or ice cold with no pressure. The manager told me 'you can do nothing about it'. Bed sheets were never changed, we got fresh but stained towels 3 times during our week stay and we had to take out our own trash. AC costs additional 75€ which we refused to pay so the room was boiling hot but so was the restaurant where they put one fan for the whole room, no AC. We weren't allowed to leave the glass doors open during meals even when it was windy outside. One girl fainted during breakfast from the extreme heat in the restaurant. The food was the same everyday, only pasta or spaghetti with sauce or fries with nuggets, the same 3 salads everyday, if the salad wasn't eaten for lunch, you got it again for dinner even if the veggies were stale and old. Absolutely inedible and disgusting food, it actually made me sick that I threw up. Close this hotel down. Please book a different hotel, the location is beautiful with a sandy beach and there are many bars and tavernas and shops.

This was a nice hotel, well situated not far from the main drag, with a couple of bars on the way. Pool area was lovely and plenty of sunbeds compared to how quiet it was. I was in what I assume was the older block with a balcony that overlooked the small pool. Despite being a solo traveller it was a triple Room so lots of space. Room was serviced each day with towels and sheets changed every other. Breakfast was a bit limited, but plenty of it and not bad if you're less fussy than me. That said I didn't leave hungry! The four stars is not a reflection of service in that there was anything wrong, rather that I didn't ask for anything that made it necessary to go above and beyond. Staff I encountered were friendly. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Only negative would be that doors banged quite loudly so if neighbours were late home you knew it.

Our 4th stay at Thalia and it just improves! Nikos, Rula and all the family and other staff are so accommodating. We stayed in the newer rooms. Was just lovely. Breakfast is continental, enough choice for all. Love the new pool menu, such brilliant value. Pool bar good value, love the pools. I would say this hotel is 4 star, near to the main centre. Certainly good value and would never hesitate to come back here. Love from Angie xxx

New pools nice once the chlorine situation was sorted, breakfast was very limited only hot option was omelette, beans were warm. Boiled eggs were ok. Cake and biscuits were delicious. Would go back if breakfast improved

Went in September 2022 as a solo traveller at the end of the AI offering. Good price for an AI Light option - coffee, soft drinks and wine/beer for the price of a Self-Catering. The food was inedible. Pools great and close to the lovely resort of Pefkos. Think they will be better suited as a B and B. Towards the end of the holiday the owner/manager shouted at a hard-working member of staff who ended up crying which made me sad and uncomfortable for the rest of the holiday.

After a flight delay we arrived at 2am and were swiftly booked in and given our key and remote for the air con as we'd paid for the week. On entering our room we were amazed at how awful and dated it was! I'd read very mixed reviews and thought the very bad ones must be disgruntled guests and it can't be that bad, but this room was! I went back to reception to ask to change rooms but was told we had to ask the next day when the manager was on duty. The room was so bad we were looking for hotel availability because if they wouldn't change our room there was no way we were staying here! The next morning I asked if we could change rooms and luckily I was told yes and to come back later when it was ready. We then were moved to an upstairs room. The difference in rooms was huge! This was so much better than the one we were checked in to, so we unpacked and started our holiday. I don't know how many rooms are like this but if they were taken out of use until renovated, it would maybe stop some of the really bad reviews as the rest of our stay was fine and the biggest problem seems to be the rooms. The new room wasn't perfect or spotless but the bin was emptied daily and towels and beds changed. If you go looking for issues you will always find them. The staff clearly work hard and they were all polite and friendly. There was some sewerage smells on and off throughout the week, one night being particularly bad but it seemed to be more outside than coming from the room. Breakfast was OK, with enough choice. We didn't have it every morning. It was better if you went early rather than near the end. We also had food from the pool bar, as we spent a lot of time by the pool, and that was lovely and cooked fresh to order. Overall, after the bad start, we had a lovely holiday and if I was guaranteed not to be put in one of the rooms that require updating I would definitely return.

Great place, stayed there for ten days, rooms were clean and tidy, staff were friendly, helpful and approachab. Good food available at a very reasonable price too: €3.50 for a decent gyros must take some beating. I’d definitely like to stay here again.

What a wonderful hotel! Please don’t believe the bad reviews! I loved my stay! I stayed for one week in September and i’m already returning twice next year but for longer! The hotel is ran by a lovely family and Nikos is amazing, so polite and they can’t do enough for you! Every evening when leaving the hotel we got told to “have a great night girls” the pools are amazing, we had a private pool outside our room which is just what you wanted to walk out to every morning! Amazing location with everything at walking distance including a supermarket next door to the reception which sells everything you may need. The air con isn’t included in the price but is worth every penny! it’s so powerful which is defiantly what you need when getting ready for the evening after a day in the hot sun! I can’t wait to return! I’m counting down the days 💙

Been home a week after staying at Thalia for the first time and I have already booked again for next june and will be booking for September also! The rooms are so spacious and we had a pool right outside our patio doors, it was lovely to wake up and walk out to a pool. Ran by a lovely family who are so caring and couldn’t help you enough! Don’t believe the bad reviews of this hotel, some people are just fussy! I wouldn’t be returning if it wasn’t a good hotel! The location is perfect, supermarket next door, amazing pools, very powerful aircon which is needed as it’s very hot! I can’t wait to return💙

What can I say? Just back from our first stay at The Thalia after two lovely weeks in Pefkos (have visited many times previously). Reading some of the recent reviews I think we must have stayed elsewhere! Yes the rooms are Greek basic but ours was clean with fresh towels every other day and regular bedding changes. Reception (thank you Nikos) staff, cleaners, bar staff all lovely people and made a huge fuss of our Grandson who loved them all. Pools lovely, breakfast plentiful and included so a bonus. Absolutely no complaints and we wont hesitate to stay here again when we return to Pefkos! Thank you for a very enjoyable stay Thalia!
