My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights during the easter weekend and we have nothing but good things to say. The Owner was one of the best hosts I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. She was very friendly and welcoming. Made sure we were taken care of. The Chef was extremely nice to us and the...

What a delightful surprise to find delicious innovative food at Froggies at Cape Mac Lodge. The slow laid-back village on the southern tip of Lake Malawi gives no hint of the amazing inventions of French chef William. Melt in the mouth chicken liver mousse, local fresh fish with vanilla infused sauce, amazing peanut flavoured ice cream to name but a...

We stayed one night at the end of January. Extreme low season and very few guests. The manager went out of her way to make it a good stay for us. Good room with a view of the lake. Jacuzzi and pool is at hand, but the area around the pool could do wit a makeover. The restaurant; Froggies is...

We arrived late in the afternoon and we were welcomed by the grear staff that showed us to our room. We enjoyed the beach in the afternoon and had amazing dinner. The food was good. Compliments to the chef. Most of all the desert was the very best part of it all. The home made icecream is to die for...

The guide book highly recommends Froggies as did someone we met who used to live in Cape Maclear so we were looking forward to a good dinner. We were greatly disappointed. Firstly the atmosphere was like a slightly scruffy cafe, a shame as the location is great. My wife had coq au Vin which was poor as the meat was...

This was the best ice cream I ever eat. All the ice cream is home made and very tasteful. I recommend this place to everyone. The personnel was also very friendly. Around 2500 kwacha you have 2 scoops of ice cream.

Came here just to visit Froggies restaurant whilst staying somewhere else. We had heard the food was great here and we were not disappointed. We came for lunch and had two delicious pasta dishes - arrabiatta and funghi, which whilst simple were delightful and so tasty, and unlike food we had anywhere else. They also have a massive selection of...

The Hotel was descent. Good value for money. Nice views of the lake and mountains. The restaurant and food was ok - could have been better. Jacuzzi, Pool and Table Tennis on property. The staff was very nice and helpful with tips on what to do and where to go. There were registered tour guides who offered water activities packages....

Stayed two nights and made to feel very welcome by all the staff. Bungalow style rooms and very nice. Great view looking over the lake, nice and relaxing. Went on a boat ride from the hotel (boat came to the beech by the hotel) and it was great feeding the fish and then the Fish Eagles followed by a sunset....

I arrived after dark. To access the Lodge, you drive through a small run down village. when you drive through the front gate, it is a wonderful surprise to discover a small paradise! The bungalows are beautiful. The bed is very comfortable and there is a mosquito net that you can scroll up or down making it easy to get...
