the dorm i stayed in was awesome, the place itself had a great atmosfere and I was simply loving it. The mountains of cereal for breakfast were also a very nice pro. Dinner was dayfresh fish (at least for me) or good pastas. Tracey, the owner, is also a good person that is always willing to help with anything

In general I had a nice stay at Cape Maclear at this place. The food was good for a reasonable price. Staff was friendly and even with the owner not around for the whole week things went smoothly. I would like them to let less people on to the property that try to sell you stuff like paintings, key chains... More

My boyfriend and I love Malambe. We go about 2-3x a year and every time the rooms are clean and the grounds beautiful. The food is at an awesome price and tastes great with big portions and is served pretty quickly! The bar also has a good selection very well priced comparing to surrounding areas. This is one of the... More

Good value for money in stunning Cape Maclear. Average accommodation and food but good atmosphere at the bar and a great place to meet other travelers. Would stay there again. You can rent bicycles which is a great way of exploring the area.

We came to malambe camp two friends, we planned to stay there for two nights and we stayed for the whole week. Malambe camp offers great budget rooms in fair prices, beside that they also have a bar and restaurant with simple and good food. The staff is very helpful and very nice, and the owner is friendly also. If... More

A lovely backpackers with some great beach huts are really great rates. Other accommodation seemed expensive in Cape Maclear but Malambe is truly backpacker rates. Great food is also served at good prices and the place is centrally located so everything is only a short walk away. Cape Maclear is also a great little village and a nice place to... More

Malambe is the best place for you to find a blend of both locals and travelers in Cape MacClear socializing over a brew, a mancala board and watching the sunset over Lake Malawi. As backpackers go, Malambe is pretty basic. Clean linen, friendly and knowledgable bar man, options for meals and drinks. However, keep in mind that what we consider... More

Been in this place in June and all I can say is that it is the best option for backpacker.met my friends there with a plan to stay 3 days but ended up staying 7 days. This place is right on the beach and we were even allowed to use the kitchen to make our own foot for almost no... More

Malambe camp is very basic, bit is also very cheap. We stayed in one of the huts, which is really just some bamboo and a bed. The staff are really friendly and chilled out. The food is also really good and unbelievably cheap. Unfortunately we cut out stay here short due to the other guests. The price point attracts gap... More

Malambe Camp is a nice spot for low-budget travelers who don't require too many frills. The property itself is quite cute and the bungalows are basic but nice, however, the camp could have easily been much better than it was. I found there to be a lot of garbage around the camp area and while there were several staff members... More
