Had a beautiful time on a weekend holiday. Just what this nurse needed after a long travel to Malawi from the States for a medical mission. Taffy was awesome in offering his services and hospitality to us and took care of all of our needs. The rooms were gorgeous and we could not have asked for a better view of... More

We stayed at Norman Carr Cottage after been on safari in Zambia in search of a relaxing time and Lake Malawi certainly delivers. The surroundings are beautiful with a golden beach, blue waters and colourful leafy hills. We took advantage of the snorkelling trips that Norman Carr Cottages offer at 10am. You are taken by boat to another part of... More

We decided to visit Norman Carr Cottage as a break away from work and I can say we were not disappointed! We arrived to a very friendly welcome by Taffy (manager) who showed us our splendid room with beautiful views of the lake. We then relaxed all afternoon on the beach looking out at brilliant views. Norman Carr Cottage is... More

Fantastic place. One is welcomed by Taffy & his staff & immediately you know you are in a place where you can do what you want. Nobody judges or imposes any rules. I was travelling alone on a personal odyssey to the country where I was brought up. Indeed I stayed at the same site over 50 years ago when... More

Last stop on our tour, it was a shame we were only there for 2 nights and not longer. Taffy and his staff are lovely, and certainly know how to look after you. We had a bungalow which consisted of a sitting room, kitchen, bedroom and outdoor bathroom. lovely decor, and nice and quiet. the restaurant/lounge area has also been... More

We visited Norman Carr Cottage through the Responsible Safari Company. We spent two days with Taffy and his staff. The view from the "Deck" looks like a scene from the Maldives. The food, drink and sheer friendliness of the place just makes you want to forget everything else. If you are going to Malawi and have two, three or four... More

We arrived at Norman Carr Cottage with high expectations after a fantastic trip there 4 years ago. It was even better than we remembered. Food, rooms and setting are absolutely perfect and Taffy and his crew make you feel like part of the family in the first five minutes. Can't wait for the next time!

Taffy, the owner, collected us from the airstrip at monkey bay, friendly and chatty, he drove us the short distance to NCC. The rooms we were shown into ( apparently the family cottage) were truly horrid, a dark dingy hall with dark dingy bedrooms off it to either side, set at the back of the property. A bit of a... This little resort was one of the best during our 7-weeks trip through Southern Africa. It has a beautiful location on the lake shore, the food is very good, rooms are spacious and the rate includes free cruises with a little boat in the morning and at sunset out into the lake for swimming and snorkeling. Best of all, when... More

The small resort lies on a quiet stretch of beach about 15 km south of Monkey Bay. The beach view suites have a small living area and open air garden showers. The huge handmade king sized beds are very comfortable and are covered by a mosquito net. The rate includes food and a morning snorkeling and a evening sunset cruise.... More
