We are 2 couples, were very disappointed as the hotel and rooms were not as written in Booking.com. very small and ugly rooms with no view, in another building. There was no shampoo or soap in bath. There was a lot of noise, as it was above a restaurant

The area is not heavily populated so there are not many places to stay. Rooms are small but clean. Good breakfast is included. The staff was helpful. There is no elevator and all the rooms are on the second or third floor so be prepared to carry luggage up rather narrow stairs that curve.

Good location for this hotel and free breakfast, but if you have more than 2 people in your room, you need to explore another option or book multiple rooms. Our room held 2 twin beds and 1 chair/small desk and that's all. The bathroom was a good size. It's rather noisy (but maybe that's because our hotel was booked solid)... More

Seemingly awkward location, but the town is tiny and there is a harbour view from the hotel. Room was clean, comfy and modest. Shower has poor drainage, and gets the floor quite wet, not worth concern. There is a hot tub and a sauna for guest use. Breakfast was good, options similar to other hotels, with a bonus addition of... More

I found Iceland very expensive for lodging, with often a lower level of service and accommodation for the price in other countries. This was a cozy little hotel on a harbor, with some rooms having views of the harbor or the mountains. Very small rooms. No elevators, don't be disabled on an upper floor here. Hotel staff weren't interested in... More

Positives- Beautiful location. Quiet spot. Hotel room is clean and functional. Great showers. Next to a working fish processing place, as is expected in a small fishing area, which was interesting watching the daily catch come past and seeing what had been caught. We liked being in a working place watching the comings and goings of the local community and... More

Thehotel location is good for visiting the Snæfellsjökull National Park, and it does have some very beautiful waterfalls at either end of the town , but the hotel is average , and a bit overpriced. We were disappointed with the evening meal ( we had the lamb which was tough ) and the staff ( non Icelandic ) who didn't... More

We expected the following: a nice small hotel in a small town, a cozy room, good food in the restaurant, friendly staff. We were very disappointed. The main hotel is decrepit, we stayed in the new annexe which provides rooms but no atmosphere at all and is situated above a pizzeria. The restaurant was closed both days we were there.... More

We may have just caught the hotel at a bad time. We checked in at the same time there were two busloads of tourists checking in. The seaview rooms were reserved, apparently, for the bus tourists, so we had a mountain view room, which we actually enjoyed (the view, that is). The room was so small that we joked about... More

Road tripping this part of Iceland does not offer plenty of opportunities for visiting restaurants or getting accommodation. I was lucky with this hotel. It is all right both as a dining place, and as place to sleep and have breakfast in. I have no complaints. It does look a bit out of date, but it is clean and quite... More
