France is renowned for its poor customer service. This is definitely improving in some commercial areas, but it is certainly not the case in Hotel Regina. After a long and difficult journey, we arrived at the hotel on a bank holiday Saturday evening. We had reserved the room through a well-known online booking agency, where it stated that it wasn’t...

We took a weekend break to France - Le Touquet was booked up, so we took a wild card choice on the Hotel Regina, in Berck Plage. The resort is fine - though not a patch on Paris Plage; however, there is a great beach and lovely promenades - it well suited our needs. Hotel Regina was well priced, the...

The good. Fairly modern room looks like they have tried to give the room a facelift. Staff are very nice and helpful The bad Stayed here for one night. The floor was covered in dog hair. The display pillows stank of mustiness. The foyer reeks of cigarette smoke. It isn't vey cheap. The facelift in the aforementioned good is really...

A large 'grand hotel' from an earlier era, steadily being brought up to modern standards, and now offering large ensuite rooms, a variety of public areas, pleasant restaurant with a small realistically sized choice of menu. Cheerful bar. On street parking is fine, but there is also a pay for secure car park. Staff friendly and helpful. Stayed here last...

More than fair for what we paid. Three of us stayed in a studio for 4-6. Fine for 1-2 nights but would be claustrophobic for longer. Basic, but clean, met all our needs as a base. Rather shabby, in places e.g. broken panel on sink unit. However, everything worked. Corridors in hotel definitely need a makeover, as worn with stale...

Welcome return visit with superior room well worth the extra - larger and modernised. Good service, well priced enjoyable dinner and excellent breakfast although the latter was semi canteen in feel owing to a large but friendly French coach party who had kept us happily amused at dinner - part of the holiday adventure for us - hope you had...

Stopped here for two nights and Berck is a lovely old fashioned sea side town. The hotel is an old and impressive building but in need of work in some areas. Our room was small and clean enough if not perfect and decorated in a classical (old fashioned 20s style) . The bathroom was brand new and clean and the...

Arriving on a Saturday night most hotels were either booked or expensive then we came across this hotel down a side street. We were a bit wary because of the price, 48 euros, so we asked to see the room first. It had new bathroom with double shower, large room with kingsize bed, overlooking car park at back. It was...

Stayed here just for the 1 night. Wasn't sure about the other reviews on here but when we got here it was all fine! The room was large and ok it wasn't the most modern hotel but it was clean and roomy and we had a nice big window which could be opened wide to let the lovely summer air...

“Ask for a room overlooking the car park and on as high a floor as you can. avoid room 138 as it is directly above the bar and reception so very noisy. You can book parking in their secure car park (10 euros a day) but therewas plenty of free on street parking all around”
