Such a lovely surprise. Our stay was fabulous. We were greeted warmly. Our room was tastefully presented and absolutely spotless. The grounds are kept impeccably and the entire hotel is a mixture of stone and both modern and traditional touches. The breakfast was by far one of the best I’ve ever had in Greece. Beautifully presented layout, a wide range of carefully chosen ingredients set in a stone courtyard. Honestly delicious and a perfect 10! Private parking was an absolute bonus in this small but busy area. Wifi super fast. Pool area spotless, clean, inviting. Would Definitely recommend to anyone!
Back to Stoupa after five years away. The hotel is as lovely as ever. Lovely view from our balcony, comfortable beds, great location and Maria watching over everything with great care. Fabulous breakfast and good pool. Hope to return.
Just back from a superb week away at this lovely hotel in the gorgeous Stoupa. I visited with my mum; I have been here once before, mum many times before. We were in room 103 which was quite small but well decorated and with an enormous balcony with stunning mountain views. Very comfortable beds, good shower and lovely balcony table and chairs. A great breakfast, breakfast area and swimming pool. You immediately feel at home and Maria and her team are joyous. Superbly situated in Stoupa which is a special place indeed. My first foreign trip post Covid and the only awful thing is that I am not still there!
I can’t imagine there’s a more perfect place to stay in Stoupa than the Lefktron. Maria and all of the staff are lovely and so helpful. The hotel itself is absolutely spotlessly clean. It’s a 2 minute walk to the sea and many excellent restaurants - I can’t recommend any because every one we’ve tried to far has been fabulous 🇬🇷
Maria and her family and staff create a very friendly laid back holiday atmosphere at the hotel. The hotel has a superb location in a quiet street close to the lovely sandy beach ,shops and restaurants. The weather was not great but this is a wonderful area with so much to see in terms of fishing villages, mountains and spectacular scenery that the rain didn't bother us at all. Thoroughly recommended for a relaxing and interesting holiday
I feel the family here are our friends and find everything to our liking, a kettle and tea coffee available on request every time, we love the fresh buffet breakfasts with many fresh favourite things on offer , nothing is too much trouble and Maria and Dennis are just so lovely , pool is fantastic and kept clinically clean and getting a sunbed never a problem , the bar is beautifully fitted out for a relaxing predinner drink or two or a nightcap after dinner, cannot rate this hotel and staff enough 5stars 😃
Stayed here for the first time early October '19 and were pleasantly surprised at how good this hotel is considering it is only rated as 2 stars. All the staff were very friendly, polite and courteous. Our room at the rear on 2nd floor had good views of the mountains to the rear and the sea to the opposite side with a good sized balcony to sit on to catch the late afternoon sun. The bedroom itself is decent sized with plenty of storage space and a room safe although only one spare power socket for charging phones etc. Bathroom was good size with very good shower cubicle. Great choice at breakfast which is buffet style. Nice little bar to sit in with a library of books to borrow. Enjoyed sitting around the pool area which has plenty of loungers available although the very pleasant beach is only a 5 minute walk away. Already booking for next year we enjoyed it so much…
Fantastic hotel with friendly and helpful staff. This year we were initially allocated one of the modernised rooms on the ground floor but there was a problem with the air con so we were moved to a much nicer, more spaciousn room with a view on the first floor. The staff dealt with this problem in a friendly and efficient way. Also if you require a kettle and cups they are provided on request. The hotel is very pleasant with lovely breakfasts and has a beautiful and friendly resident cat called Parvalo. Location is ideal just a few minutes walk from the beach, shops and tavernas. Stoupa and the Lefktron keep drawing us back, 2 years running now and planning next year again!
The Lefktron is a small family run hotel in Stoupa, situated on the Peloponnese coast of mainland Greece. Stoupa is a quaint, quiet and quite beautiful typical seaside village with food and drink and safe bathing being it’s main attraction which makes it a perfect location for those with small children and those of us who like a more relaxing and quiet holiday. The hotel is typical of the area; clean friendly and small, just a couple of dozen rooms and the beach front is a pleasant few minutes walk away. The rooms are just about adequate and include a fridge and TV. AirCon is provided but is charged at 7 Euros per night. There is a safe, again at extra cost and no kettle which was a real let down. The bathroom was “compact” with a decent shower, no bath, but it is very small space and larger people are likely to struggle. A small clean pool with enough sun beds and umbrellas is a well used facility. Wifi is available though out, including by the pool. Breakfast was good with a wide selection of hot and cold food and fruit and drink. Lots of home made cakes and biscuits too. Food is not served in the evening. There is a well stocked bar and a happy hour offering a discount on some, but not all drinks. There are a number of agents in the town who organise trips out. A day in Ancient Olympia is not to be missed and there are at least three car hire outlets but you may need to book in advance during peak months. Getting here is easy. Stoupa is a 3 hour flight from Gatwick and another 1.5 hour road trip through spectacular scenery. All the local restaurants serve good food and there is little to choose between them in terms of quality and quantity. Try the Taverna Melissa for succulent meat dishes and get to the Pefko on a Wednesday evening when there may be live music from an extremely accomplished trio playing traditional Greek music in the garden. Exceptional! The Lefktron Hotel stands out, not for what it has, but for what is doesn’t have. Competition is keen around here and the most successful hotels are going to be those that add value. So the addition of a kettle and some tea and coffee provision in the rooms would help at hardly any cost. AirCon is essential in Greece if you want a restful night’s sleep and it should be accounted for in the overall rent for the room. We will definitely come back to Stoupa. Most people do. …
This was our second visit and we love the place. It's in a great position 2 minutes from the beach and restaurants lovely pool area plenty of sunbeds. Great family run hotel nothing is too much trouble for the staff very clean and a help yourself breakfast. If you want a chilled out hotel this is the place .
