A few days ago we returned from this fabulous place! After our evening arrival, we were nicely welcomed by the reception lady and the hotel manager. Beautifully located hotel: convenient and comfortable houses located by the pool and beach. The rooms are thoroughly cleaned, a nice lady comes every day and sprays the room to prevent mosquitoes (which, contrary to opinions, there are not many). The service was very nice, helpful and smiling. Delicious food, first class fish soup! Pasta with cashew nuts is brilliant, a finger-licking steak. Dishes selected from the menu and booked for any time. The atmosphere of this place is indescribable, and for the manager nothing is impossible: breakfast for lunch, lunch for dinner, fruit for the beach and much more!!! Taking care of everything and everyone at the highest level. A person on vacation felt like at home, or even better ;) I recommend it wholeheartedly! Team F - Zeen, thank you very much for a great stay. 10/10!! :) Best regards, Piotrek and Iza, Hakuna matata :):)

Beautiful little resort on the beach, consisting of small bungalows on the garden side and larger seaside. The staff is super welcoming and very nice! Excellent and hearty food from breakfast to dinner with a chef "designer" he often made beautiful presentations! The hotel is located on a beautiful beach of more than 2km well protected by guards who avoid the presence of vendors of all kinds. A sufficient number of deckchairs are available on the beach which enjoys the presence of trees to shelter from the sun Ideal place to rest (there is nothing to do on the tour except a walk in Sea for dolphins). The capital is an hour's drive away. Although some bungalows Would require a little refreshment this is a place we would gladly return

We stayed 4 nights in this hotel with crazy charm, which I chose mainly for the 'suite ocean view' room which is located at the foot of the ocean. The experience turned out to be exactly what we were looking for: A hotel on a human scale, quiet, very beautiful with a cozy and relaxing atmosphere.
The furniture of our room, as well as the common areas, is beautiful, sober and preserves the authenticity of the environment.
The room, spacious and simple, fulfilled our wishes: feet in the water, thanks to a splendid terrace whose panaroma left us speechless, very comfortable bedding also. The bathroom, cleaned every day (just like the room), indeed, might deserve a little refreshment but sincerely it did not bother us at all. The towels are changed every day and it is spacious and clean, that is the most important.
Catering: the choice may seem limited, but the size of the buffet is more than enough because it is the size of the hotel which has fewer than 30 rooms. Everything was very good. My husband, allergic to fish and shellfish, has always found his happiness. Fresh fruit and fruit juices feasted us.
Regarding the staff, Abdul and his team were top, adorable, and very accommodating. Day and night, they respond to the problems encountered by customers, as well as possible. Our welcome, at 11.30pm was done with a welcome cocktail and we had the desired room without any worries.
The beach of Uroa is not the most touristy, so very quiet, but we swam at high tide and always with great pleasure. There is nothing around, however, you have to take a taxi to move. Advantage: the hotel is about 1 hour from all other beaches or excursion to do on the island.
The few drawbacks, as there can be everywhere, proved insignificant so much we felt good about it.
A faultless for this stay!! Only disappointment, having to leave so quickly....
Asante sana to the whole team ❤️🙏

Please beware of the reviews here for this hotel--they do NOT fairly reflect the nature of this hotel or its surroundings. For most of us, a "boutique" hotel lays claim to being modern, chic, updated, and well apportioned. Instead, this hotel is outdated, threadbare, pretty basic, and surrounded by nearby beach covered by rotting seaweed and plastic garbage. We stayed for three days, two nights in October. For a rather expensive price, we were given a basic room, with no furniture other than beds and side tables and a bathroom in which every fixture was old, patched, and creaky (as in the toilet dribbled water all night, the shower did not drain correctly, and the shower curtain had been removed and only the hooks were left, etc). We were also disappointed that the beds were not covered by mosquito nets--instead, there was a net the was let down at night the covered the entry to the bedroom from the arrival hallway (one assumes that the mosquitoes know not to congregate in the bedroom but only in the hall and bathroom?). In addition, both the door to the room and the bathroom door did not close correctly and only did so if the locks were turned. Taken together, the room was basic, and the bathroom grim. Hardly boutique material. As for breakfast (provided with the room), the food was fine--there was a small, tired fruit plate, a basket of bread/pastry/muffins (homemade but nothing special), the eggs were okay, and the coffee appeared to be instant poured from a carafe. More disturbing was the constant presence of cats--meowling at diners, standing up on their backlegs against diners legs demanding to be fed, and then jumping up on the tables to eat the food as soon as you walked away. Further, flies hovered around the tables and food--altogether not very appetizing. Given that that the food/restaurant is mediocre, know that there are NOT a lot of nearby restaurants so one is rather dependent on this one.... On the positive side, the grounds of the hotel are lovely: well cared for and full of flowering trees and plants. Very nice. The pool is large and quite nice--with a view of the sea. It could definitely be kept cleaner. And the beach: the hotel is indeed right on the beach, and the beach in front of the hotel is kept clean and raked. The problem is, to either side of the hotel's beach, the beach quickly becomes caked with old, rotting seaweed, and plastic garbage. The closer you get to the nearby village, the worse this becomes. Visitors should also be aware that while other beaches here on Zanzibar stretch for very long distances, the beach here at Uroa is not very long (can be walked in some 20 - 30 minutes max) and is blocked at either end by rocky promontories. In summary, we found this a very B- hotel, with mediocre food, and a not very nice beach. You can do far better, for less, elsewhere on Zanzibar.

What can I say . I’ve been lucky enough to travel extensively and this hotel is one of the best I’ve stayed at for sheer beauty of location and hospitality of the staff. We got upgraded free of charge to a beachside apartment looking directly on to the most stunning beach I’ve ever seen. The apartment itself is basic and the one improvement the hotel could make would be to upgrade the rooms. The staff were incredible . Hard to choose who were the friendliest . Little Joseph in the restaurant was a gent . Mary and Abdul are stars too. Another girl whose name I didn’t get but we nicknamed “ you are welcome “ was so nice . All the reception staff too. Best service I’ve had at a hotel in years . This place is a gem . Almost reluctant to post a good review as I’d like to keep it secret . Big thank you to all the staff for a marvellous holiday .

We were welcomed with refreshing towels and drinks and we were happy as soon as we arrived. The check in process was easy. The front desk had Ester working and she is every bit of nice, knowledgeable and kind. She answered any questions we had and made sure that we got settled in. She also made sure that everyone's room was ready and comfortable. We got to our room and saw the bed decorated with beautiful flowers and towel origami and it was such a wonderful touch and detail to the room. We ate several meals there and enjoyed them. The beach was pretty and we're happy to have a view of the beach from our room. The staff at our meals was extremely kind and hospitable and wanted to make sure that we were happy and enjoying our stay. We loved the chapati bread too. My family, friend and I enjoyed our time and would gladly stay again as well as recommended to others.

The transfer from the airport organized by the hotel worked wonderfully. The booked room with an ocean view did not meet our expectations. After we complained, Oscar and Dainess organized a renovated garden bungalow for us. We felt very comfortable in it and enjoyed our vacation. There were 2 bottles of water, coffee and tea to make yourself in the room every day. Dainess also gave us a massage. There was always something tasty to be found at the buffet, there was always meat, fish, vegetarian and desserts, not to forget the wonderful fruit! The fact that the bees also gathered at the breakfast buffet is unavoidable in tropical regions. If you expect German standards, you should not travel abroad. The food and beverage service was wonderful, all wishes were fulfilled by Joseph, Alfons, Mary and colleagues. THANK YOU Angelika & Farouk

I stayed for 2 nights at the F-Zeen hotel as a solo traveler. Every single person that works there are lovely and welcoming and can't do enough for you. The food is served as a buffet style and usually consists of a mixture of foods and there is also a chef at the grill ready to cook you something fresh. The location is perfect and you can walk along the beach in either direction. While you are at the hotel you won't be hastled but if you head up or down on the beach then people will hastle you to look at their shop or book an excursion. If you did want a bit of variety then there are a few restaurants that you can walk to along the beach. I was staying in a bungalow with a garden view and it was just as pictured and I was located right by the pool. There are lots of seats and loungers to relax on by the pool and on the beach. It was very quiet when I went so was just what I was looking for before flying to the mainland. I also went scuba diving with Dive Point, that the hotel recommended, and they were also amazing so can highly recommend them too! Would 100% come back here to stay and can't recommend them enough - thank you for looking after me.

Very pleasant atmosphere with wonderful staff. Highly recommend the beach front bungalow. Really enjoyed our 5 relaxing days and nights. Laundry service was good and massages excellent. WiFi was consistently excellent … able to watch an Olympic soccer game on our phone with no choppiness.

Wonderful location, perfect for relaxation. Rustic rooms and a beautyful garden. Very good and tasty food. Staff always responsive to guests requirements. The location allows easy access to all the tourist attractions of the island, both those from the north and south, as well as to Stone Town.
