We visited the hotel on the 11th - 21st of September and from the moment we arrived knew it was going to be good. We arrived in the early hours of the morning after delays to our flight and were greeted at reception not only with a goodie bag of snacks, but also helped all the way to our room with our cases. We slept very well and were greeted at sunrise to a beautiful view of the front of the hotel gardens and the ocean from our balcony. Just when we thought it couldn't get better we headed for breakfast. The food is outstanding. There is wide variety of foods for breakfast, lunch and dinner and simply delicious. Each day at entrance we were warmly greeted by the staff and there was always places to sit. The lady at the snack bar always had a huge smile and the gyros she made was lovely. The two lads who did the drinks at the pool bar never stopped and after reading previous reviews, I would like to put the record straight. I spoke with both of them on many visits to the bar and they are not rude, If people took the time to ask how they are, they are both very pleasant guys. so don't be put off by other previous comments. There is a lovely seating area both inside and out of the cocktail bar and Mimi looked after us very well. Such a lovely lady and a real credit to the hotel. During the day there are plenty of sunbeds around the pool and also on the large grassed areas, we never struggled for spaces. Also the beach has plenty of sunbeds too and the most amazing sunsets. As we are early risers, one morning, on the way to breakfast we asked if there was a kettle we could have for the room and some extra pillows. by the time we had eaten our breakfast and gone to back to our room there was a kettle there, 2 extra pillows and the room had been cleaned and clean towels too. Nothing short of 1st class customer service. On an evening there are various entertainment packages from Greek Dancing, Bingo, Music Quizzes, Karaoke - all great fun for all ages and the young lady who organised the entertainment each night was fab. This was our first holiday for a number of years and it was everthing we needed and more. The hotel is fantastic, every single member of the staff are lovely, The food and drinks were gorgeous. For us, it was easily a 5 star experience. I would like to sincerely thank each and every member of staff for making our holiday one we will never forget. Stamatis, I would be very grateful if you could take the time to thank each and everyone of your team/staff from us both. (I understand you have many people stay there, but if you tell them it was Mike and Sharon - the guy who sang "Sweet Caroline" at Karaoke and then again at the Music quiz night, they may remember) Sincerely thank you Thalassa from us both.

I’ve always said a big factor in enjoying a holiday is the people and staff you meet, and here the staff were absolutely brilliant. We arrived in the early hours of the morning and were greeted by the guy on reception who took us to the room, carried some of our baggage and then gave us some snacks and some drinks as a welcome gift (lovely touch from the hotel). The rooms were of a decent size with plenty of storage for our stuff. The hotel itself and the food was spot on, but the real benefit of staying here was the staff themselves. Our little 2 year old boy Ethan is autistic, and is very fussy with food. He is obsessed with chicken nuggets which are not ordinarily on the menu. However every night (and every lunch if we wanted) the chef went out of his way to hand make and cook chicken nuggets for my little boy, which he absolutely loved!! Every member of staff had a smile and were all very polite. I’d like to see a little more in terms of facilities for young children as the playroom is a little bare but other than that absolutely no complaints. Would highly recommend to anyone. Thank You for a wonderful holiday.

We arrived in the early hours and were checked in quickly and efficiently also given a packed lunch, which was nice. The hotel is basic but for the cost it’s very good value for money. With a couple of exceptions. Food is generally very good, plenty of variety and replenished regularly. It wasn’t high season but the restaurant was always running out of glasses and tea cups at breakfast paper cups really aren’t nice to drink out of!! The restaurant staff weren’t particularly friendly but never rude or offish. The pool bar lads work flat out. Only one bar person at a time, which leads to quite a few queues, they’re also expected to collect all the cups from the pool and grassed areas. While we’re were there They often ran out of clean cups, there ought to be more than enough, very often you’d have to wait for the bar staff to collect and wash the glasses while you were being served. The drinks were the biggest negative of our entire stay. Every drink we had was watery and quite tasteless whether it was a short, cocktail or beer!! I like to try all the hotel had to offer 🤣 This in turn made the evenings long, boring and a blooming drag.. Crap drinks and any entertainment not beginning Til 9.30 We went into town 4/7 nights to have a drink and experience a bit of a holiday atmosphere. David the entertainment guy was very friendly and interesting. Always visible and chatting with guests, very involved. Please note if you have a late flight you can check out as usual at 12 but booked a courtesy room for a shower nearer your pick up time rather than pay to keep your room just to shower. Sunbeds are uncomfortable it’d be nice to be able to hire a sun bed topper/ cushion at a small cost. On the whole the few gripes don’t detract from a nice, little place to stay. Improve the drink selections totally and you’d have a gem of a place.

Visited 7-14 Sep 22 with my wife and brother and sister in law. On arrival the receptionist asked us to go and get some food and check in after as the restaurant was going to close shortly. Food during the whole week was hot and plenty of choice, drinks were decent and what you would expect at an all inclusive hotel. Mirella who worked in the main bar was absolutely fantastic, always smiling and happy. The chap in the pool bar has been criticised in a few other reviews, but if you are courteous to him he is fine and we had a couple of conversations with him during the stay. Our room was clean and tidy and the shower was the best we’ve ever had on holiday. The beds were singles pushed together, I slept the best I’ve ever slept and found the bed and pillow very comfortable but my wife didn’t sleep very well all week. Leave towels on floor or they won’t be changed. Entertainment was low key which we prefer and we always sat at the tables outside the main bar in the evening whilst having a drink. The pool was great and never busy and there were plenty of sun beds. As others have said the pool does stain white or light coloured swim wear and t-shirts yellow or green. The beach across the road was sand and stone with some sun beds, the sea was very choppy but we went in and the waves were good fun. Also the sunsets from the beach were amazing. We spent a day at paradise beach which was lovely and the bubble section was great. Also visited Kos Town and had a meal and a drink out and went round the gift shops. Only problem we had which is nothing to do with the hotel was the bus service which was useless, we tried on a few occasions to get the bus but we waited ages and it never arrived at the times stated so we got taxi’s which were much better. All in all a very relaxing holiday in a lovely hotel set in beautiful well kept gardens with great staff. Would definitely return in the future.

After seeing so many positive reveries, we felt quite disappointed when we first arrived at Atlantica Thalassa. We have stayed in a few Suneo club hotels previously, and they have been relatively modern, and always Clean. The hotel itself was nice and kept clean. The lounge area on the terrace is lovely and you can see the hotel grounds are well maintained. On arrival to reception, we were given directions to our room as it was in a different building. No lift but just glad we were on the first floor and no higher as the stairs were a struggle. The room was not great. Marks all over the walls where cases and furniture has clearly been scraped against them, it really could have done with a lick of paint. Bedroom furniture was basic and looked aged. The beds were awful - we were given twins that had been pushed together. They were so uncomfortable, it was almost like sleeping on the floor. We had to speak to reception about the bed situation on the second day, and they sent housekeeping up with a double mattress topper. There was a slight improvement but still the worst hotel beds we have ever stayed in, but at least the beds were actually connected this way. Only one small pillow was given per person, which did not seem to be full size either. The bedding was basic and worn, holes and marks on the bed sheets and the small cushion and bed runner were stained. There were cracks in the floor tiles. We had read many reviews before we booked this hotel and there were very few negatives. We think we may have had one of the older rooms, which is a shame. The bathroom was better and seemed newer, but we did notice ants most mornings near the shower drain. The air conditioning unit was great and the room was always nice and cool when we returned. We did not sleep well, not only because of the uncomfortable beds, but the noise. The walls must have been incredibly thin, we were regularly woken up to a family next door whose baby was crying. Sometimes you could even hear them talking, and they can’t have been speaking very loudly. After 4 full days, we still hasn’t had our towels replaced. I ended up leaving them on the bathroom floor, but when we returned the beds had been made but the towels not replaced. I ended up going down to reception for clean towels, which they said they would bring up. After almost an hour, we still hadn’t had any but we had an excursion booked for that evening so ended up going in the shower without towels. As my partner got out of the shower, there were 2 knocks on the door and I shouted for them to wait a minute both times. Even though the door was locked, the housekeeping staff unlocked it (they can’t have been waiting more than 20 seconds) and entered the room while my partner was trying to put some bottoms on. She did not apologise for intruding even though he said he was trying to get dressed to come to the door. The food at the hotel was really good, and mostly fresh. There were flies over the fruit bowls on a couple of days but I guess when doors are open for guests this is difficult to avoid. Tables were not cleared and reset very quickly, meaning you were walking around a lot of the time and having to get up to ask for cutlery. Maybe there should be spare cutlery in a tray for guests to get in these cases as it would be quicker than waiting for staff. I really think the hotel needs to stop encouraging cats. I am allergic to cats, and I know they are strays but they would sit at your feet whilst you ate waiting to be fed. On one evening, a cat jumped onto a table that had been left with dirty plates on and started eating off them. Several people around us grimaced at this so I know it’s not only me that was put off by this. My partner got the cat down but it obviously just jumped straight back up again, then 2 more people moved it but it returned to its spot and continued eating. But we never saw a member of staff come over to either move the cat on or move the plates. It also made me worry about whether the tables, table mats and chairs were being wiped down properly between guests especially when cats were climbing up. The outdoor furniture around the bar and entertainment area were not very comfortable and the sofas on the terrace were nearly always taken. The mini market is useful, but could really do with an ATM. We were told by the receptionist to walk 20 minutes to the next hotel to use their ATM if we needed one. The bus stop is in an ideal place, but was late every day (not the hotels fault) but the hotel did not have an up to date timetable either, it differed to the one on the bus stop in Kos town. There wasn’t much to the beach. Sun beds and parasols that you had to pay for but could have done with a bar or at least some music playing. The sand had a lot of litter and needed a good rake through to get rid of some of the pebbles, seaweed and bits of wood.

Dear Ava178 I would like to personally thank you for your time to share with us such a detailed reviews regarding your experience at Atlantica Thalassa hotel as we strongly believe that we can make our service even better by considering our guest comments. I will personally follow up with the housekeeping manager regarding regarding the housekeeper who level of English is not that good and also the level of cleanness of the bed sheets as we work with a professional company that are delivering them in plastic packages fully protected. All hotel rooms mattresses were changed/upgraded during the winter and are brand new, as we always upgrading renovating our hotel to better accommodate our guest needs as well as exceed them with our food options and the level of service the restaurant staff provides through the summer season. Atlantica Thalassa hotel does not only exceed our guest expectations but also protects the environment by cleaning the beach daily from humans waste without harming it by removing pebbles and seaweed, controlling the food waste by Hightech food waste systems and also protects the animals by sterilise, vaccinate and provide house for these cuts. We encourage our guest not to feed them as we provide for them food for animals but sometimes love for animals can make our guest not to follow our guidance and cuts are jumping on the tables when the people leave. I hope that we can welcome you back in the future and target for your five star review. Kind Regards Stamatis Diakogiannis Hotel Manager

We are here at the moment and are enjoying it. The hotel is clean and we have no major complaints. The food is good, snack bar is great. We have stayed in 5 star hotels where the food hasn't been as good as here. The drinks could be better however. You can drink all day and not feel the slightest bit drunk. Probably a good thing! The rooms are dated but perfectly fine, clean etc..the shower is really powerful. The entertainment isn't the best but you make your own. The location of the hotel is fine for us, we have gone in to town a couple of times and it's just 5 minutes on the bus. Kos town is lovely and worth a visit. For the price we paid, we are more than happy with this holiday and would return.

We arrived at this hotel in the early hours of the morning and was greeted and given a snack which was nice, our room was spotless and had plenty of storage space with a pool view which was lovely. Food and drinks were the best we have ever had in Kos plenty of choice, staff were amazing especially the lady in the snack bar and the lady in the main bar both were so friendly. The choice of food in the snack bar was excellent there is no way people could go hungry. The pool bar man does speak but some people do seem to leave their manners at home and are quite rude when ordering. The location is great bus stop at the end of the road and for 2 euros can be in kos town within 5 mins, buses are very busy though and you may have to stand. Entertainment during the day was great if you wanted to get involved, nights not so good due to lack of space which we didn’t understand as there was a big amphitheater which could accommodate everyone. The only negative I could say was that we was charged 90 euros to keep our room on for the last day even though we didn’t really get our full 7 days due to flight times. Even so we have just booked to return for 2 weeks next august and can’t wait.

Dear Guest So wonderful to hear such positive feedback about the team who they will be absolutely delighted receiving your review. Here at Atlantica Thalassa Hotel we are really proud of our service and the food we provide and we are really happy that we created memorable experience for our guest that did appreciate it. The entertainment team is choosing not to use our brand new amphitheatre for all the shows as they want to have closer contact with our guest creating the vibe, excitement and internet that is needed for shows like bingo, quiz night that is needed.. We are looking forward to welcome you and your family back next August and and share an even more exciting summer season. Kind Regards Stamatis Diakogiannis Hotel Manager

We arrived at this hotel late at night. Night staff weren’t the best but we got checked in. We had issues with air conditioning in 2 rooms (out of 3). One resolved relatively quickly but the other never fully resolved even after several complaints. Tui rep wasn’t particularly helpful or accommodating. We seemed to know more about the issue than the maintenance guy. This aside we did have a lovely time. Food was good, drinks ok (not the wine but that’s personal taste). Majority of staff were lovely. Guys on the bar worked so hard and were lovely once you talked to them, restaurant staff were polite and helpful. Lady behind the night bar and the snack bar girl and shop staff were all really friendly. Rooms small and not much storage space but nice enough and are cleaned every day (except bathroom for some reason). Entertainment was good, mainly because of the reps Davido, Stef and Renata who made it fun and took time to talk to everyone. Bus to Kos town was ok but busy. Tagiki is a nice place to visit but we had issues with taxis and no direct bus there unfortunately so we spent most of our time at the hotel but were never bored. All in all a lovely holiday and other holidaymakers were friendly. It felt very safe.
