I couldn't let this one slide .... this experience was totally unacceptable. The Staff is just horribly miserable . it is just so sad to see such misery. ( I have traveled all over the world and have never ever experienced this ) We honestly couldn't figure out what was wrong with these people . Rude and NOT ACCOMMODATING >.Maria at the Reception is the ABSOLUTE WORST!!!!!!! This woman is Mean so sad to see that in a lady ... She definitely is not good for customer service , I would keep her FAR from guests . We finally booked a different hotel for the remainder of our stay on this beautiful island . Our House keeping lady was super sweet but thats about it . Total Joke don't even waist your money. Lets touch on the "Breakfast" horrible the food was greasy and cold just terrible NOT one good thing about this Hotel ,,, the thing is if at least the staff was pleasant maybe everything else could have been dealt with but they need to go to some Anger Management classes!!!!!! What an AWFUL experience ...

Enjoyed a nine day stay here - comfortable room, excellent housekeeping. Breakfast buffet very good and plenty of it, (even when those typical pesky sunbed baggers demolished the breakfast buffet, took over the breakfast area and then took even more food for their packed lunch) - the buffet was generously replenished by staff for the rest of us. The Hotel retains its Greek charm. Would return.

I've just return from a three day business trip from Kos.I choose MARITINA a nice cheap city hotel at the middle of town.We were a team of three persons and we reserve a nice room with three beds at the second floor at the backyard of the building(No 219).Nice decorated, good dimensions, with a nice flat tv a safe deposit box(without charge)and a mini refrigerator. At the lobby area there is a bar and also an internet corner .There is a small parking zone at the front of the hotel(the space is very limited only for three cars.Of course there is a small problem with the doors of the rooms. You must take care to close carefully. There a pool bar with a small pool at the upper floor of the hotel,Nice to have some relaxing time over there. The prices at the bar are logical. All the stuff are very helpful and polite. The breakfast area located next to lobby. It was nice but I expected more. There is free wifi at all the area of the hotel.I read some reviews about the A/C at the rooms but ours was functionalThe only negative was the small balcony and without view. Thanks a lot all the staff.

My boyfriend and I have been staying for 2 weeks - everything was fine, and the hotel is located close to the harbour and all the stores. The cleaning everyday was nice. But we had some ants is our bathroom every Day.. We also really liked the rooftop with the nice pool and the sweet bartenders. Something we are not pleased about is that the reception was not very welcoming with a Hello when entered the hotel - only one guy at Night. The breakfast is OK, but the hotel is very busy during the summertime. Sometimes you needed to wait for the cups etc. But overall the hotel is fine and we had 2 great weeks in beautiful Kos City.

We have spend in Maritina hotel for 12 days. Rooms are okay, everything you need. Clean rooms (everyday) For us the room is not very important. However the rooms are a bit noisy. We were next to the elevator and you can hear everything. Breakfast is descent, not special but normal breakfast buffet, we ate there a lot. Location of the hotel is good, most of the things is 5 to 10 minutes walking. The pool is nice! Temperature great for cooling down. During our stay it was not very crowded. The food by the swimmingpool is good. The same as a lot of lunchcafes but cheaper. Special mention for the Poolbar guy Dimitris. He is a very kind an honest man. Gave us a lot of tips on what to do in Kos-town. You never have to doubt the checks because they are always right. We enjoyed our stay and recommend this hotel!

This would be quite a half decent town hotel if the staff were not so miserable. The reception staff are unpleasant and one individual bordering on rude. They seem to have the attitude that tourists are a problem and are too much trouble. The only exception was the young lady behind the bar on the terrace pool.

We arrived about mid day and our room was ready for us. Checking in was easy and we were up by the amazing roof top pool within the hour. As it is just the start of the season the pool bar was still being stocked. This proved to be no problem for the fantastic young lady (sorry no name) who was working up there, she went to the downstairs bar for us quite a few times and brought us our drinks as well as peanuts/crisps etc. The rooms are quite small but spotless and the bathroom totally fine with constant hot water which is rare for Kos! Breakfast had everything for a full english or continental and the coffee was excellent. We booked half board, dinner was at the sister hotel 5 minutes away. The food was excellent but limited, we ate at other restaurants for a change which for us is the norm anyway. The location of the Hotel is fantastic.A couple of minutes walk to all the shops, bars, restaurants. My only concern is for the parrot in reception, whilst he certainly was a happy, healthy boy with his whistling and chat, his cage was very small. The staff are helpful and smiley, the breakfast ladies and bar staff being the best. Overall of course its not 5 star but was value for money and we will certainly be back next year

Booked a short stay in April 2019. Hotel felt slightly more worn than it appears in photographs. Our main issue was the smoke - staff were smoking on the reception desk, guests were smoking in the bar and breakfast area and the smell of smoke really hits you when you walk in. Our bedroom smelled very strongly of smoke - and our neighbours must have been chain smoking regularly as it was overwhelming coming through the vents. We also had exceptionally noisy neighbours, arguing all through the night - the walls are very thin. I did report the noise to hotel staff but they were reluctant to help. Breakfast was good with a great range of options, just a real shame about the smoke.
