Me and my mum booked this holiday last minute the hotel is lovely pool is amazing and its local to all we needed The staff are super friendly and always willing to help if you have any problems Breakfast was fantastic plenty to eat we will be staying here again in the near future
Overall, I 100% recommend this hotel if you’re looking for some quiet time 15min walk away from the city center of Kos, looking for a nice hotel, clean rooms, big pool and good breakfast. You don’t go there to find luxury, you go there to enjoy the pool and have quiet and comfortable nights. Indeed the hotel could use a fresh coat of paint here and there but the most important is here: a cheap hotel away from the crowded and noisy center, with good room amenities (AC and a nice hot shower), very nice Greek breakfast with fresh products, cute kitties hanging by the garden (official residents of the hotel) and most of all, very friendly and cheerful staff!
Booked this hotel through British Airways mainly due to the cheap price, but also it turned out to be a little gem. An ideal position for us as it was a 'short' walk to Kos town which was great for doing a little bit of exercise and keeping my step count up (for Vitality Insurance I need to do 12.500 steps a day! - don't worry, not much over 1,000 to the main area and bars, so we had to walk the long way round, and even then I had to do extra!). The room was much better than we really expected, quite large, with a balcony (not much of a view really but then you were never going to see the sea from there and not their fault the next door hotel was undergoing renovations. It was very clean and cleaned well every day, and air conditioned as long as you had the glass balcony door shut - our problem tho was that we accidentally changed the mode on the air conditioner to fan only and spent 2 uncomfortable very hot nights until we realised we didn't have the snowflake showing on the remote! The shower worked well, and the loo although as everywhere in greece the paper had to be put in a bin rather than down the pan which is a bit weird for people not used to it. Also a fridge in the room which was a great bonus and not expected. There was a bar downstairs and we had a good few cold beers (only 2 Euros each I think which was half the price of the bars on the beach). You could also buy bottles of water which was really useful. The breakfast was fine, nothing too brilliant but adequate and just what you needed really, coffee/tea, orange juice (out of a packet I think - too strong for me so had to water it down with water), then hard boiled egs, ham and cheese, nice different kinds of bread with a toaster, greek yogurt and tinned peaches, sliced tomatoes and sliced cucumber, olives, and also some cake and biscuits which I ignored, and also jam and honey, and butter. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, always cheerful. There were 'safety deposit boxes' in reception which were 2 euros a day, but ideal as I had taken my MacBook, and it just fit in. You were given a key and also reception had another key - each box needed 2 keys, so pretty secure and meant I needn't worry about constantly carrying my MacBook with me - I used it for the video call for the Covid test we had to do prior to returning. On that note there was also free WiFi everywhere which was also very useful. The pool was also lovely and always plenty of sunbeds, in fact normally only ourselves at the pool - the most I saw at a time was 5 people! However, mid June and the hotel was definitely not full, although quite a few guests - mostly german - at least another 14 but may have been more. However, as not many people there was no food available at the bar, but not a problem as plenty of restaurants and tavernas not too far away. Also excellent place to hire a car, scooter or bike directly for convenience, although we didn't bother, we just walked everywhere. Would DEFINITELY go and stay there again, a perfect choice, and we had a brilliant holiday.…
The hotel was great! quiet, very clean and located in a central location so you could get to the beach and harbour areas and Lambi too with ease! The rooms were functional but very clean with a lovely balcony! The owner and sons were very helpful and friendly! We thought it was fantastic value for money One tiny little detail is the sun beds which were in need of an overhaul ( quite uncomfortable) Would definitely return hopefully next year 😊
I had an excellent one week staying at Leonidas Hotel and Studios in Kos. I really loved and enjoyed the swimming pool, which was always kept clean and it is a nice place to meet new people. The location of the hotel is pretty nice, about 8 minutes by foot from a popular sandy beach and 12 minutes from the center of the town. The staff was interesting and willing to help if they need to. My room was modern and fully equipped with an air-con, a fridge and a flat TV. Surely great value for money and recommended.
We stayed here for 6 nights in late September 2020. The hotel is very nice, small and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Our room was a superior one, it was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Our room had a full sized fridge and a small balcony. There were no coffee of tea making facilities within the room, so if you like a hot drink first thing in the morning I would suggest taking a travel kettle and some cups with you. The breakfast is quite light , offering foods such as boiled eggs, toast, fruits, coffee, tea, yogurt, cooked meats and cheese. We travelled during the pandemic and the hotel was covid secure with plenty of hand sanitisers around. The pool is not heated, but never very cold and the pool area is very quiet with plenty of sunbeds always available. The area around the hotel is rural, but very close walking distance to the main Kos town. We hired bikes during our stay and used those to get around. All in all a lovely hotel and I would stay here again.…
Really great apartments, out of the way so nice and quiet. Staff are really friendly. Pool very good and no shortage of sunbeds or shade if you prefer. Takes about ten minutes to walk to the nearesr beach bars, and about twenty minutes to walk into the centre of Kos town. But you can hire bikes if you don't want to walk. Or a car, although parking is probably limited. If you don't hire a car hire a taxi to get to and from the airport (20-25 mins) if you don't want to spend an hour and half on a coach. Definitely recommend a place to stay!
In a quiet location but very close to the beach. About 15 minutes walking from the city center and 7 minutes from a sandy beach. You can also hire a scooter, a bike or a quad at very reasonable prices. The swimming pool and our rooms was spotlessly cleaned... Our favorite place to stay in Kos. Definitely recommended.
We have been to Kos many Times and stayed at many hotels but the Leonidas hotel is by far our favourite. The Hotel is kept Spotlessly clean with nice new showers in the room, tv and very comfy beds. The staff work very hard to make your stay Great especially Katarina She is a gem nothing to much trouble. The Hotel is Also in walking distance to Kos town Centre With some great restaurants on the way .Would recommend booking early as it is very Popular Thanks for everything this year if All goes well will see You Again next Year Best Wishes Brent &Kathryn
We’ve stayed here several times over the last twenty years. Every time we go we can see improvements. It is spotlessly clean as usual, the young lady works so hard. Constant supply of clean sheets and towels. The foyer/ bar area has now been updated and is really pleasant. As always the pool is kept very clean, the sun beds are new and there is never a shortage. All the staff are so helpful and friendly, I wouldn’t stay anywhere else.
