We just had a wine and some snacks. The location seemed clean and service was very friendly. They try to discourage smoking, although is is allowed. I would advise positive about Koako regarding our visit. That is all I have to say about it. But 200 inputs need to be given by tripadvisor
Really lovely hosts that would go out of their way to accommodate your needs as they really try their best to please every single one of their customers. The breakfast offers a good variety of fresh fruit, deli meats, bread, yoghurt and cereals. At breakfast, you may be tempted to pet a moody cat who might turn on you at any moment if you rub her the wrong way. Very cute cat, but watch out for her claws. The only complaint I have is not for the hotel owners but is about other guests. The behaviour of other guests can be ranged from simply rude to obnoxious. Certain guests don't seem to understand how loud their speaking voices and laughter can be especially in the middle of the night. Seriously, the floor is covered with ceramic floors which means we can hear your obnoxious voice very well while it reverberated through the door and walls. So have some curtesy and consideration for others because not everyone wants to hear a sound from you while they try to catch some zzz...…
Staff is super friendly and helpful, they provided us all requested informations, really kind and warm people. We hade nice balcony and breakfast. Rooms are clean and nice. Everything is super close reachable by foot - centre, old town, port, bus station... For the price you paid you are treated well! If you want to find hotel with good price, Hotel Koala is defenitely right decision for you.
Very nice time in Kos. Hotel owners and all staff very friendly, easy to talk to. A lot of sense for humor. Will make an extra mile to please you and make your holiday a holiday. All the best for Koala in Kos. Barbara & Werner from Ljubljana.
Clean, friendly and very good value hotel. We stayed for one night before picking up a boat from the marina the following day. The location was perfect for this. The buffet breakfast was very good and varied.
We stayed a week at the Koala Hotel and had a fantastic time. The Hotel is spotless with a really good swimming pool and roof terrace. This is a small family run hotel with a friendly homely atmosphere which makes you feel very welcome. The Koala is in a really nice position with the old town, castle and beach only a ten minute meander away.Breakfast is continental with a good choice and replenished regularly so nothing is left standing for long. Rooms are of a good size and have a balcony. The only thing they dont have is tea making far ilities bit I think this is fairly standard for Greece. Overall I couldnt fault our stay in this lovely hotel and would certainly book the Koala again if ever I was returning to Kos.
Look - I have read the most recent reviews and Im sorry but those who complain need to have a reality check. The prices here including breakfast are unbelievable and the breakfast is good; its a bit out of town - more a 10 minute walk than less - but lovely along the seafront Management and staff excellent - pool not that inviting but adequate Rooms are basic but very clean - but I agree the showers are a nightmare and almost impossible to use without flooding the bathroom but hey that's part of the Greek Experience - loads of hot water
The room had a reaking sour ourdour, the beddings vas dirty and sour.. the room itself looked like Something straight Out og the developing World... all in all, im happy that we only had to stay for One night, god bless those who stayed longer.
We stayed here for a week. The hotel was always very clean, the staff was friendlly to all, if you need any help or information, they are always available to give you. You can not expect hotel with 5 stars, but you get everything you need to have good holidays. The hotel has swimming pool, in every room is balcony, you don t need a car to go in supermarket or restaurant, breakfast is very good. For the price you get a lot. Thank you Koala for offering us the best stay.
Nearly to the city Centre and perfect as budget traveler. Friendly staff, good wifi, swimming pool, balcony. The only that I didn’t like just the time of breakfast was to short only til’ 9.30am, as I am not the morning person :)
