Returned from Atlantis hotel on 27th May 2023 after a week's holiday , we are a couple in 55-61 category. The hotel and grounds are kept well and cleaned regularly. Rooms are either in main building or separate low rise and bungalows throughout complex . Our room 556 was nice and recently decorated ,however ! The bathroom was very outdated , shabby , with a shower curtain !! Our room was ground floor so we were bothered with ants and cockroaches at times!! Don't leave food or snacks in your room ?! All Inclusive ...is not all inclusive! Drinks very limited , alcoholic drinks limited from 5pm til 11pm . Wine and beer available at lunch from main restaurant or Taverna by the pool. Food was decidedly mediocre , limited choice and lacking authentic Greek food, Salad choices were nice though. We did enjoy , lunch at the Taverna , Greek Gyros were lovely and these were very popular , hard to get a table at times. We felt the food was catered for mainly German and Dutch clientele, we are Scottish and are well travelled and enjoy food from many countries and cultures. Pork stew features often in buffet and pasta with Bolognese sauce or macaroni , Chef appears to be afraid of garlic or spice of any kind , hence most food was bland . The pool area was nice , however despite many signs telling you not to reserve sunbeds with towels , sunbeds with umbrella were all reserved by 8am , so we had to relent and do the same as others !! We did not reserve if we were away all day , which many people did ...not naming any names but culprits came from a country starting with G!! 😉. Anyway despite all these irks , we had a lovely time, going daily walks into Kos town , takes about 30 minutes , lots of shops, bars , historical ruins and lovely restaurants. Would we return to Atlantis hotel , no !

I returned from 10 days at this hotel a week ago. The staff were absolutely lovely, the hotel itself is beautiful, well maintained and clean. It's in a fantastic position with an easy, flat 25 minute walk into Kos town, some bars nearby and a handy supermarket at the entrance. The food was fine actually, pretty typical AI with meat, chips and pasta but they do offer a variety of lovely salad items for lunch and dinner. Not a lot of authentic Greek food except Moussaka one night and not a lot of 'live' cooking which were hoping for. Restaurant very busy up until about 8:30pm when it seemed to empty out a lot, so eat later if you want to avoid the scrum. I really can't class it as all inclusive as I found it very difficult to access drinks during the day, the restaurant closes between servings and the pool cafe also closes it's doors at various points during the day so you have to resort to queuing up (for ages) at the pool bar to receive a limit of two drinks in a tiny glass/cup and you'd be thirsty again within moments of drinking it. We had to resort to buying soft drinks at the supermarket in the end. The hotel really needs to install some self service soft drinks that are accessible at all times, or at least a water fountain that can be used to drink 'something' during the day. Our room was very tired, to the point where sockets were hanging off the wall, there was an exposed fuse box and there were damaged tiles in the bathroom. . There were three plug sockets in our room, one by the front door (useless position), one by one of the beds and the other by the mirror...sad to say but in this day and age I do prefer a socket by each side of the bed at least. Beds are rock hard and not comfortable. The hotel do not leave any welcome booklet or anything in the room so it's up to you to find stuff out, there are leaflets you can pick up at reception that were discovered on day 4 but they need to put something in the room to explain stuff....what times meals are, what towels you can take to the pool (it's the pink ones in the room btw despite signs around saying to the contrary!) and how the safe works, never was able to use that. We also discovered on our last day that we could have had a kettle in our room if we'd asked for it! Again, information would have been useful. BUT the room was very clean and all of the negatives were forgotten when we were out on the balcony, the view across to Turkey is stunning! Please sort out the sunbed situation at the pools. For starters there weren't enough sunbeds and although there is a sign up saying 'do not reserve sunbeds' this was never enforced and there are the usual saddos who were up at 6am to reserve their spots. We'd walk through the area on our way to breakfast and they'd all be taken, at 9am, so we didn't even bother and forked out 7 euros a day for beach sunbeds instead. I do understand that it's been a difficult couple of years for the tourist industry and maybe there's not the money there to upgrade things but there are a few inexpensive things that could be done to improve the experience. I would stay again and do recommend it.

Fabulous spacious hotel with lovely well kept gardens . The pools were kept clean and all the staff worked so hard . Our rooms were spacious and cleaned every other day . Linen change twice a week . The beach was long and pebbly ( beach shoes needed ) The food was good , not a lot of change but always nice . Never anything spectacular though , no prawns , seafood or steak . The bar drinks and inclusive cocktails were weak so we got an extra solo to top them up .The cola was dire so we bought our own from the shop . The bar opposite ‘The smugglers ‘ was a great night on kareoke nights ( tues and friday ) and the cocktails there were lovely . Only issue on our stay was that there was no Animation team which made the days long and no information was provided about the evening entertainment. One lady i met had sat in the main bar every night and hadn’t realised that the evening act ( 9-10 pm ) was at the pool area !

Overall the hotel was nice. The rooms were alright, however, we paid for an upgrade from land view to sea view and when we got to our room all i could see was the car park. Keep in mind that we were quoted by the hotel that it was €150 to upgrade from land view to sea view and this is what we got. We went to reception and they assured me it was sea view and it was just dark but we weren't happy with that so they said if we still don't like it in the morning then we can change and there was no option to change that night which was annoying as we wanted to unpack everything. In the morning there was no sea view. There was a tiny spek of sea about 500 km away in the distance but you couldn't really see any at all. The alcoholic drinks were ok but the soft drinks were quite bad. They were all own brands and didn't taste great but it was fine. They had wine and beer on tap though at lunch and dinner which was good. The layout of the hotel is weird, the entertainment stage is by the pool and not near the main building. The staff were happy to make us our own drinks and reception were helpful. The hotel also had a private beach which was nice and secluded. It was about a 30 minute walk into the centre which wasn't bad or about a €3 scooter which took less than 5 minutes which we found great and used this as our mode of transport the whole time. The app is Elerent and i recommend downloading it and setting it up before you get here, its very easy to use and especially in the centre there are loads of them around. There was also a supermarket less than 10 minute walk away which was good. The hotel is also very close to Milos Beach Club which is very popular. Overall if you're looking for a nice cheapish getaway for the week, as a couple, family or kids, i do recommend.

Had a good week at this hotel. Pros: Deluxe room with Panoramic sea view was fabulous, very modern and clean (the spa dressing gowns and slippers were a nice touch too). We stayed in room 419. Very clean hotel Located next to shops and restaurants on Lambi strip (Istros Resturant was 15 min walk down the road towards Kos and would highly recommend for quality food/service and value) Hotel has a private beach which is pebbly but is very clean. Sun beds are 3.70 euros per per and the large double sun-bed are 15 euros per day but we really enjoyed getting a double sun-bed and watching the waves coming in….so relaxing. Some people didn’t pay for sun beds but just brought their own towel or chair which was not a problem for the staff. The cushions for the sun beds on the beach are really thick and comfortable. Staff are very friendly and happy to assist as needs dictates. There is a garden taverna on the hotel site which serves delicious freshly made gyros at lunchtime. The breakfast, lunch and dinner is varied and has something for everyone. Lots of places to rent a bike, scooter or car right next to the hotel or to book excursions. Kos town is only 25 minutes walk and its flat. There are a good mix of people at the hotel. Predominately English in heritage i believe, but a very wide age range which was nice to see. The hotel was good for people who have mobility issues, as there are ramps to all parts of the building, and 3 lifts to upper floors. The entertainment was quite good with singers, Greek dancers etc in the evening, although it was only 9pm-10pm each night. There was plenty of seating in the evenings, albeit some of this was inside rather than on the terrace. The lifts are small. However, despite it was a busy hotel when we stayed, there are three lifts and only 5 floors so you don’t have to wait very long for the lift. I liked that there was a fridge in the room with bottled water in it. The hairdryer in the room was good, a proper hairdryer rather than one of those ones thats attached to the bathroom wall and take ages to dry hair. Plenty of plug sockets in the room, to charge up phones etc Cons: On arrival we were asked to take an iPad and input lots of information so that they could process our booking. I could see some people struggling with this and it taking quite some time, which is not ideal after a long journey The food was reasonable but after a few days it all tastes the same so we ventured out a couple of times for dinner. If you didn’t arrive at the start of lunch/dinner service, the food was quite cold so we learnt pretty quickly to go at the start of service By about 9.30am all the sun beds around the pool had been taken. The all inclusive package does include cocktails but these are generally very sugary and the wine/beer is watered down and they are served in half pint glasses. I resented having to pay 7 euros to get a decent cocktail in a nice glass. I felt if you were paying for the drinks there, then you definitely got a better service from the bar. The rooms have quite thin walls. On one night I could hear the man next door snoring. The doors self shut too so can be quite noisy. Although i have stayed in much noisier hotels so overall it was fine. There is a refreshments hut on the beach but this isn’t included in the all inclusive. However, it is only a couple of minutes walk to the beach bar or garden taverna. Despite putting the sign to make up our room daily it was only cleaned twice during the week. The Resturant could get very busy and a couple of times we left the table to get something else and came back to find the table cleared and other people sitting there which was bit irritating. Top tips: Pay the little bit extra for a deluxe room with the sea view. It is well worth it. A trip to Zia to see the sunset is amazing, but rather than pay 95 euros for the taxi round trip, use the tourist shop a couple of doors down from the hotel. It is only 15 euros a person to go to Zia, the coach picks you up at the ATM machine outside of the hotel at 5.45pm and collects at 9pm. Would advise to book ahead the Oromedon Resturant in Zia for a sunset meal, as its excellent and usually fully booked and there is not enough to do in Zia for a whole evening. Don’t use the supermarket on site or the mini mart a couple of doors along. They are expensive. If you turn left outside the hotel and walk for ten minutes, there is much bigger supermarket with good value prices and variety of good. Take a fire stick if you want to watch anything on TV. Overall, the cons were nothing that we couldn’t live with and we had a really good week at this hotel, thought it was very good value and would return.

Worst all inclusive holiday for food and drink that I have been on the rooms in the main hotel are nice and comfy the all inclusive is abit of a joke not much to choose from definitely not catered for the British or people with children and you cant get a drink from the bar till 10am unless you pay for it and they stop serving inclusive at 11 which is early and the entertainment might aswell not be any nothing happens during the day and at night it doesn’t start till 9.30 and last for 45 minutes so pointless so overall wouldn’t come back to this place

Just spent two weeks here, I am Gluten free, Teo and his staff, in the restaurant, were brilliant at advising me about what I could eat.... thank you. For a large hotel the staff managed very well, usually not long to get a drink! All in all a good AI experience.
