Apollon Hotel is commended for its modern and clean rooms, as well as its overall cleanliness, which is often highlighted in housekeeping reviews. Guests enjoy the beautifully maintained atmosphere, including the inviting garden. Despite the praise, some visitors have pointed out that the value of their stay was lessened by additional charges for basic amenities like WiFi and pool towels. The service is generally friendly, although there are occasional mentions of long waits at the bar. The hotel's proximity to Kos town makes it a favorable choice for those looking to explore the area.

The Hotel is very modern, clean and new. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. As for the facilities that’s a different matter. There are far too many rooms for the amount of sun loungers around the pool, everyday is a sun bed war. One member of staff chooses the days to remove reserved sun beds, some days kicks up a fuss and some days doesn’t even bother. I’m currently sat round the pool with most of the sun beds reserved with no one on them. But earlier this week, they’d been removed. I’d like consistency with a problem like this. Oh yeah and on the POOL RULES sign it says cannot reserve sun beds. The amazing barlady is very friendly and helpful, it would be nice if the hotel could give her proper assistance in the day, as the all inclusive bar line gets quite large and she’s on her own. The all inclusive food is 10/10 but mainly breakfast lunch and dinner. No snack bars, just cold small sandwiches during the off time of the main meals. WiFi is free in reception but isn’t great, premium wifi is on offer for £5 per day for in your room, personally I think that’s ridiculous. A gym is available but this is limited to 1 person due to COVID-19 rules in 2024.. but again this is not included in the hotel and you have to pay. Due to this being limited to one person it’s mostly booked up throughout the day. The Safe in your room is a payable fee as well, I can understand this in some aspects but I think most hotels now, in this day and age come included. Rooms get cleaned everyday with fresh towels and the hotel is in a very nice spot of the town not too far to the harbour and nightlife.

Just got back from an amazing stay. The two ladies on reception are very welcoming and friendly when they greet you. We stayed in room 255 and it was done to a very high standard and spotless. The cleaning lady done an amazing job and left the towels everyday in a different design. The bar staff work very hard, it was busy but they had a smile for everyone and were very efficient. The food was the best I've had on a holiday. A different theme evey night, and all cooked to perfection. We cant praise this hotel enough. Location is great, just a 20min walk to kos centre. The grounds and pool area was very impressive. We would recommend The Apollon to anyone and we will definately be returning.

Here with a large family varying ages, hotel is very clean and comfortable, food is of a good standard no swim shorts in restaurant even if dry, no snacks bar just sandwiches on pool bar with dry cake and fruit, only one of the two bars where open during our stay even though the second would have eased the pressure on the one pool bar staff, the standard of drinks were pretty poor beer spirits and soft drinks tasted watered down, there was a complete lack of day/evening entertainment which suited the predominantly elderly holiday makers who were happy to play cards and dominoes, kids were happy in the day in the pool but we're bored in the evening, couldn't fault the staff all do a very good job, not a bad location 20/30 mins walk to Kos town. There is no park as advertised and you have to pay for pool towels, the safe, WiFi in the room, 1 bottle of in fridge but after that you have to pay if you want more, the tennis court looks dated and is free the basket ball court has no hoops or posts. The gym also is not free. Overall we had a good time but that was down to us as a family.

Dear NorthStar15195354849, We are surprised to read your comment's title, criticizing our Hotel as "no AI". Never did we advertise providing entertainment program, and our website clearly mentions that certain facilities & services are upon charge. However, it is nce to hear that our staff came to your expectations. We wish you a nice summer ahead. Best regards, Leonidas Platellas Hotel Manager

Just back from a weeks stay here as 2 couples. Hotel is spotlessly clean, we had two pool terrace rooms and they were excellent and definitely worth the extra money! The lovely lady who cleaned our rooms (417+415) was so friendly and worked so hard, she’s a credit to the hotel. The bathroom facility’s in our rooms were excellent we particularly enjoyed the rainfall showers. Fresh towels were provided everyday including a fresh shower mat.
Tea, coffee and sugar sachets were replaced when needed although milk is not provided in the rooms but we purchased some from a local supermarket for ease.
Agree with other reviews that it would be good if the hotel provided more than one bottle of water but bottled water is so cheap it’s easy to purchase yourself.
Plenty of choice for food and drink but it would be good if you could also upgrade your food and drink options like you can your room as the beer offered on all inclusive is awful but we purchased cans from the local supermarket.
Every staff member we interacted with were lovely.
Poppy on reception is definitely worth a special mention, she was lovely and treated us with kindness. She helped us book excursions and made us feel very welcome.

Inn very clean is well located... Does not give that Impression of being in large industrial complexes there is only one floor.
The staff is ok and smiling shame that we only speak French but hey that is only a small detail.

The rooms are large and functional. Sometimes some housekeepers even make sculptures with wipes and fresh flower petals.

The wifi not top but well that is not necessary on holiday.

The food ok some dishes are sometimes not very hot.

On the other hand something to avoid absolutely is white wine and red wine at the pump... just horrible

Overall we had a very good holiday and this is the first time that we see a Pension comply with its swimming pool rules. Bath sheets on deckchairs not used more than one hour are removed and returned to fold at reception. Or people can get them back.

I saw Kos but Kos will never see me again. The landscapes are beautiful but the ones that bothered me is its wild deposits and buildings aplenty... it does not make you want to come back...
But this is not the Pension

We stayed here on our honeymoon and booked a standard room.
We got there and were given our room which was a block of 7 rooms right at the back of the hotel and have not been renovated compared to the rest of the hotel and is about a 2 minute walk to the pool, they felt really excluded to the hotel.
We went back to reception to ask if we can upgrade the room and explained we were of course happy to pay the extra, sadly we were fobbed off by the reception staff and were told to come back in the morning and they can “try to help”.
We didn’t feel this was good enough and my husband went back about 5 minutes later to ask them again, we were then given a double deluxe room so it’s disappointing they wouldn’t help straight away.

Nevertheless we didn’t let this ruin our holiday.
When we got to our new room, it was really lovely and modern.

The lady behind the pool bar (sadly didn’t get her name but often wears a pink tshirt) is an an absolute credit to the hotel.
There are the usual cocktails on the menu and tea, coffee etc but there are hardly any bar snacks, it was rolls with left over cheese and ham from breakfast every day.

The main restaurant is really good, they have different themed nights every night such as Italian, Mexican, Asian so lots of variety and a nice change apart from breakfast which was the same.

The cleaners work very hard and the hotel and rooms are cleaned every day to a very high standard. They knew it was our honeymoon and made towel art on our beds every day.

There is one pool for the hotel but not enough sunbeds for the amount of guests. We were told it is prohibited to reserve sunbeds, however I witnessed the same man on several mornings on our holiday put towels down on 9 beds and then just walk off and not to be seen again for hours later so feel this should be policed more for something that is “prohibited”.

Like most of the reviews, there is no entertainment for the hotel, a TV to the lobby or the outside lobby would at least be a benefit.

Overall our holiday was okay, but I wouldn’t stay here again.

On arrival we received a free upgrade to a bigger room with a pool view, after such a long day travelling and arriving early hours of the morning. We really appreciated the lovely gesture, so thank you. Just be weary there are no lifts at this hotel and you were left to your own devices to find your room in one of the hotel buildings if you're not in the main reception building. Which did often involve steps to climb with your suitcase, so if you have any health concerns it would be best to request a ground floor room prior to arrival. You also have to pay for the room safe which was 3 euros per day. There is also often cats in the restaurant which people tend to feed so it proves hard to get rid of them, just to note if you have any allergy's. This did hinder me enjoying going down for food because I often could not eat it in peace. The food was not always hot however this is often the case with All Inclusive, it just depends if you can catch them when they put fresh food out. Our room was cleaned really well daily and Lambi beach is just across the road. The hotel is located close to Kos town we often walked which took about 30 minutes. If you wish to get the bus it's 1.10 euros if you pay at the kiosk in Dolphin Square (bus number 2) and you cannot miss the Dolphin fountain in the middle so its easy to spot. There is no iron available, so we traveled with a small travel iron. Poppy who works at reception was helpful. Overall a very nice hotel in a great location which made it easy to see the sights of Kos.

Awesome Amazing Ace Apollon!

All the staff here are the names we asked for Poppy, Katarina, Apostolos (forgive the spelling) the most handsome man in the restaurant! Handsome! Anyways back to the hotel clean always, food good variety, drinks on flow all day long.

Went for a massage organised via the hotel BEST MONEY SPENT I Advise everyone to book this spa day, it's what we all need in our busy lives.

The staff are friendly and always on hand. I understand the busy times and the full capacity of swimmers in the pool. Lack of sunbeds but hotel provide sun loungers at our rooms so we can swim and then lay outside our rooms for peace and quiet.

Rooms were cleaned daily the housekeeping staff work extremely hard.

We tend go to Turkey every year different locations. First time in Greece. We will definitely book this trip next year. My family had an amazing time.

Thank you to all the staff who work tirelessly cleaning, cooking food and keeping us hydrated.

Very nice Pension, well maintained with its small alleys with lush vegetation. Quiet, relaxing (no entertainment during the day and evening), ideal for couples.
I enjoyed: the location, the spacious room (deluxe room with pool view), the comfortable bedding, the restaurant and terrace with a cozy atmosphere (not a canteen), the breakfast/lunch buffet (too bad we can not have a real fresh juice). Repetitive meals but always enough to satisfy.
I enjoyed it less: the day we arrived at 9:45 pm, we received for meal 1 MINI sandwich and an apple!! A cold plate would have been welcome. The limited pool area and therefore not enough deckchairs and umbrellas for all guests (some sunbathing on their terrace on a chair) and paid beach (20 €/day for 2 deckchairs and umbrella).
Note: the dress code is applied in the restaurant (no shorts for the gentlemen) but women could fit into outfits not always decent! - Forbidden to reserve deckchairs at the pool but most did it since there was not enough. During my stay (12 days) the staff removed the towels once. In the bathroom there is no shower gel dispenser only packaged mini soaps (not very ecological).
Important: for people with mobility problems, some rooms are on the 2nd floor without elevators.

Spent a week at this beautiful hotel, we had 3 rooms as we were a family of 5, 2 rooms with a balcony over looking the pool and the other with a veranda and private sunbeds, all 3 rooms were spacious, modern and clean - they were all cleaned on a daily basis with some pretty touches of towel art and flowers.

Everything around the hotel and pool are well maintained and the staff are very helpful - especially the ladies on reception who booked a trip and somewhere for us to eat. The bar staff are also very friendly and quite entertaining at times!

The food was always served to an excellent standard, very well presented and easy to fill your plate at every meal, I'm vegetarian and had no problems in finding something to eat but there was also plenty of meat options.

The only very minor gripes would be the WiFi which was non existent in most areas of the hotel, you can sometimes get it to work in the Reception area and the lack of milk/tea spoons in the room for making a drink, also the lack of shower facilities for a late check out - we ended up having to pay 100 euros for a late check out room.

All in all a great little hotel that is well situated, we all had a very enjoyable week and would defiantly return! Thank you for a great holiday.
