Absolutely lovely place on the beautiful island of Kos. The building and grounds were so lovely. Staff were really friendly and helpful, and the food was first class. I would definitely visit Diamond Deluxe again - perfect holiday.
our second holiday in this stylish and welcoming hotel. Perfectly situated away from the bustle of Kos town but within easy reach should you need to go. we rented bikes again and had great fun safely exploring the coastline on the well signposted cycle routes. all the staff are very friendly and Nectaria was amazing in helping us to get the room we wanted, would recommend a swim up terrace but all the rooms look well appointed and the arctitectural design is very pleasing. Fabulous food for all meals and the breakfast selection is stunning. No need to eat out as every evening is individually themed. Great chilled evening entertainment in the chic bar area and good selection of drinks. we will be back
Like most people I read reviews before booking holidays and being English means I take most interest in the bad ones. The ' bad' reviews for Diamond Deluxe included comments about the cost of bottled water (given as 4 euros but we paid 2) and the fact that the private beach was across a busy road. I accept that October may not be the tourist season but 6 cars a minute would not seem to qualify as 'busy'. The only issue we had with the Diamond Deluxe was that it was so good we did not really want to go out an explore the area. The room, staff and food were all brilliant. When we did go into Kos town (bus 2 euros, taxi 10 but only 6 kilometres away so why not hire a bike, 5 euros a day) it was to sample the restaurants and visit the roman ruins. Well worth a visit but we did still scurry back to the hotel for a nightcap. So; if good food, attentive and friendly staff and fantastic facilities are not what you are looking for best head somewhere else as this is not the hotel for you.…
Great hotel - set apart on its own across road from the beach. Fabulous pool and great restaurant amenities. Superb on site shop at very reasonable prices for snacks and extra drinks. Had an upgrade to mezzanine room - so my friend and I had our own floor, bathroom and wardrobe! Lovely bed - fab linen. Just wish hotels would look at plug sockets near mirrors, but if that was the only complaint - we are doing well!
Overall we had a great holiday. Pros: Incredibly friendly and helpful staff throughout - reception, bars, restaurant, maintenance, housekeeping, etc. Immaculately clean everywhere. The largest choice of food I have ever seen in a hotel buffet! Each night the restaurant had a different theme which included a diverse array of hot and cold dishes. We were expecting to eat out a few nights but didn't as the food was so good in the hotel. Vast swimming pool - an ideal size for swimming lengths without bumping into people. Suite was very spacious with a comfortable lounge area. It had a big bathroom with 2 sinks and a huge walk-in shower! Air con in the room is effective and very quiet. Buses came past the hotel fairly frequently (if not always to the timetable!) but taxis are also readily available. There is a great bicycle path between the hotel and Kos town (no hills) and hiring a bike is both popular and reasonably priced. We thought the beach was fine and the area used by the hotel guests is kept clean and tidy. Cons: In the suites you do have to put up with some road noise when sitting on your private terrace. If the noise is a problem during the day, there are plenty of loungers available in the communal pool areas where it is very peaceful. This is not problem at night when your patio doors are shut. The pools (private suite pool and main pools) are very cold. If you walk further down the beach, you will find plastic washed up on the shoreline - sadly, the same problem as many other beaches have these days.…
