We stayed at this hotel for two nights and absolutely loved our stay. The room was spacious and modern and the most attractive part was the silence of the place. We stayed just before the new year festivals and the place was relatively busy, but...More
Friendly staff ( very friendly), excellent food, peaceful ambiance. A come back hotel for sure with kids where they too can enjoy holidays with special kids events organised. Rooms and surroundings super clean.
We were on half board so only had the breakfast and dinner buffets - both were really good. Great spread and yummy food.

We had half board at the hotel so sorry can not say the price of the food. Suggest you email the hotel to get them to send you a menu with the prices. Soft drinks at the hotel were around EUR 2, beer around EUR 3/4 and cocktails around EUR 4/5 if I remember well. There is complimentary bottled water in the rooms.
The dinner options were very varied from western chicken, fish and pasta, salads, soup to local delicacies and Sri Lankan curries, rice and dhal of differing spice levels at dinner> There is an array of fresh fruit and they have a sweet tooth so love desserts and ice cream! There is plenty to choose from and always ask if they can make you something particular if you have special dietary needs. You could also email them and see if they can cater for your needs in advance. They will always try and assist you wherever possible.
Food and drinks in the hotels are way more expensive than going to a local bar, restaurant or basic supermarket. However in some places you may be remote or the cost of the taxi may negate the cost of eating/drinking at the hotel so just bear this in mind.
Hotels will exchange your Euros but you will get a better rate at Colombo airport so change some money when you arrive. You can always exchange extra at your hotels or banks in town along your itinerary.
Make sure you exchange all your money before the passport gate at the airport when leaving. They will also only take notes, not coins so try and spend these before you leave!.
Hope this helps.
