This is a quaint homestay that provides excellent service. The rooms were tidy & clean with a nice terrace with comfortable chairs to relax in the afternoon. We arrived in the early afternoon & were able to arrang a jeep safari with another guest in the afternoon. They also have a driver with an air conditioned car for day trips... More

This was an unexpectedly awesome experience, the hotel itself was located within a fruit garden or orchard - thumbs up for the ambience and feel of the place, very neat and tidy rooms with some of the best and friendliest hotel staff in our entire journey through Sri Lanka. A special mention about the home cooked Sri Lankan food must... More

My wife and me spent two days in this bungalowhotel and these were among the finest days of our journey. Jiya is the perfect host; talks fluently English and French, gives you tips and advice to do this and see that. Jiya takes time for all his guests. Rooms were big, tidy, silent and everything functioned as it should. Porch where... More

Le Grand Meaulnes was by far our favourite hotel on our 2 week trip. The hotel was a bit hard to find at first. It's about a 1km walk from the Habarana intersection. We had to call the hotel to find it. But when we got there, we were more than satisfied. The room was huge and we were greeted... More

Very nice stay at this lodge. We enjoyed the large rooms. We stayed two nights and had diner both nights (Diner: 1100 Roupies per person not included but worth having). They can organize Safari at Hurulu Eco park which is a great park, less expensive than south national parks (Udawalawe and Yala) and contains many elephants. Kind hosts with many... More

This hotel is run by a guy who lived for 3 years in France and therefore speaks both French and English. His cook is amazing and you should try the evening meals, which, although More expensive than local restaurants, are excellent and, of course convenient. Dinner was about SRps4,500 for two of us include a drink or two. Room was... More

Firstly all the positives. The rooms are very clean, there is plenty of hot water, the air conditioning is fantastic and the western breakfast was nice. Now this may sound a little picky but the breakfast area was in the direct sunlight and for me the heat and humidity even at 8:00 am was too much to handle. Also the... More

If you are looking for a place to stay in Habarana, near Dambulla and the Sigriya Rock, then this is the place to be. Situated in a private area, surrounded by plants, trees and greenery, this hotel was a great choice for my husband and me. The room was clean and spacious, some old furniture were placed. Just beware of... More

It is a lovely place to stay for a couple of nights - but it is more secluded location. We used this as our base to see various attractions located close by (Dambulla, Sighirya, etc) and as such it was a great location. Also - there is an amazing ayurvedic SPA that was recommended (and booked by the hotel) that... More

We stayed here for one evening and had a very pleasant stay. The owner and all the staff were very helpful and kind and the room was clean and large. The bathroom was OK and the food very good. We ate dinner outside on the terrace and had the rice and curry (with a local cocktail to start which nearly... More
