Had an incident there on our second morning: we we’re having breakfast, but I went back to our appartement to grab something and noticed our door just closing, so I put the key in the lock, but it was blocked on the inside. I panicked and asked if somebody was inside our room, heared noises so I yelled to my partner to come, because somebody was inside. He came too late (but he did notice that the owner came running from the other corner of our appartement and not out of his home where we thought he would be after serving us breakfast), the person ran out the window. We found it quite suspicious that the person was able to come inside our appartement, hence there was no damage to the lock and the place is quite remote. Also, the owner came running from the other corner of our appartment and as he ran to the bushes to look for the ‘suspect’, he came back with the story that he did see some ‘dudes’ running away, but he unfortunately couldn’t see their faces... Luckily NOTHING was stolen (we hold on to our valuable stuff) and I believe I came there just in time (saw the door closing). He didn’t offer us anything for the inconvenience of the incident (he was rather supprised that we wanted to check out a day earlier than planned) and instead charged us with extra cost that were not mentioned via booking.com. ‘ ‘Offered’ to bring us to the treinstation, but we had to pay 200LKR (instead of 300LKR that he normally charged). This is our case, you draw the conclusions. Just be carefull there, I did not feel safe at all. I know life can be a struggle, but every action has its consequences and I’m sorry to write this down, but I feel to share my story and warn people. I see the other good reviews and I hope that our case will be the last of it. I’m still in a shook though, it was definitley not a nice experience to have.

Thought our friends (who were staying in a 4 star hotel) were a bit put off by it simple looks this is a genuinely good place to stay. There are only two rooms in the resort and the owner’s house. The room was clean and had a big clean bathroom. The owner is very helpful, honest and friendly. We stayed here for 3 days and he even kept us company and took care of our belongings and money while we were having a horrible ayurvedha massage or going on an elephant tour. Breakfast was abundant and he always welcomed us with a cup of tea and a smile. Whised we had taken more presents for his two year old baby girl!

Thanks so much to Jeewa for his hospitality during my stay. The room is spacious, has good A/C and hot water. The location is good along the main road. You can easily walk into habarana town in 30 minutes or grab a tuk tuk. Jeewa was very helpful in organising all our tours and activities such as Sigiriya, and a safari in Kaudulla National Park. Overall a very nice stay and I would highly recommend staying here.

We stayed here as our first stop after leaving Colombo. The place was well located, clean and very comfortable Jeewa, the host, was fantastic! He was in contact with us before we left England and helped us to organise our time in the cultural triangle. He knew all the good places to eat and got cheap rates on all the sites so made sure we didn't get ripped off. He took care of our every need and even gave us a lift for our onwards trip to Dambulla when our stay was over. His home cooked food was also excellent. Recommend this place entirely!

We spent 2 days and 2 nights at Merrytime resort. That was the perfect place to reach most of cultural sites of this area. Our host, Jeewantha, was very friendly with every members of my family (we are 2 adults and 3 children of 11 8 and 6 years old). His wife sri lankan cooking was delicious. He will give you some very helpful advice and he can bring you everywhere with his tuktuk. We loved this stage of our travel!!!
