The camp is small and intimate. It can accommodate 18 people in 9 tents. The tents are spacious. Each has a king sized bed, and is equipped with the highest quality mattresses, linen and pillows. And there are also wall to wall rugs, solar lighting and hand crafted furniture. To each tent is attached a walk in bathroom. As part of your trip to the desert, we can help organize your entire Moroccan itinerary.

I don't have enough adjectives to describe our experience: outstanding, fantastic, phenomenal, amazing, sublime Maybe SUBLIME is it: of such excellence, grandeur, or beauty as to inspire great admiration or awe Really, we loved it so much that we're STILL smiling...four days

A serious but interesting schlepp across the High Atlas from Marrakech to get there. The last two hours an exciting 4 wheel drive through sand dunes. The camp itself is a miracle of logistics so far out in the desert. Bobo and his staff/ brothers are extremely welcoming. The

This place is fantastic! The service was brilliant. The food is very nice given the remote location. Guides are available at any time for walking, camel riding, touring in the desert. Hardly camping--more glamping. Chemical toilets and a dip and pour shower are the only

As you imagine the opening scene of the lion king, you can begin to get lost inside of the African beauty and pre-misconceptions of your own making. Urg Chicaga Luxury Camp hidden in the African plains of Morocco deep in the Sahara (not to be confused with the Savanah) desert is

We stayed at the camp in May 2017. I was nervous about this as 1) I am not a camper 2) I'm a fairly private person and wasn't sure about the social aspect of the camp and 3) I am really not a camper. However, I loved this experience. We were there for 2 nights and 3 days. Food

Hello, it sounds like this question should be directed to the camp organizer Nick rather than to me. The camp is outstanding and yes they will pick you up and drop you off in Marrakech with one of their great drivers. Email the company from their website that find out availability for your dates.

Sorry I didn’t see your question by now. The end of June the camp is still running. July it gets hot but the staff will make your visit comfortable I have no doubt.

Karen - the camp is amazing. You'll need to get to M'hamid (preferred) or the airport in Zagora to get transportation to the dunes. Have you reached out to Bobo? He's the main man.

I do not understand what you mean by "deadlines." I do know that they close for the summer somewhere around June 1st. We had a driver from the camp pick us up from our Marrakech hotel and drive us to the camp and then back again. It was included in the price. I hope that helps.

How do I book it?
Hello. Because we have no affiliation with any internet booking agencies (being in the desert you need a 4wd vehicle to get to the camp so making a reservation is more involved than just booking a room), you need to send me an e mail. However I am not allowed to enter any website or contact information on this answer, so you will need to find us via google! if you type in Erg Chigaga Luxury Desert Camp, you will find us! Cheers....

"Bring extra lighting for the evening and a telescope if you've got it."
"Choose a tent in the main camp vs. a more secluded one. Sand can be tough to walk in and being close to the food/drink tents was convenient."
"For even quieter quiet, ask for a tent away from the central bonfire."
"You can ask for a tent in a secluded location if you wish, or get one closer to the action (music, bonfire, restaurant tent)."
"The more remote tent the better"
