Checked in and were presented with complementary drinks vouchers and discounts off of the food. The entrance was beautiful, I couldnt help but take a couple of pictures. The hotel isn't in the main strip, as first time visitors TO Macau (and not doing any research at all before arriving) we didn't realise that all of our plans were on... More

The photos for this hotel make it look like a glamorous stay in the middle of the action of Macau, but it's anything but. The rooms are old and dirty, the location is far from just about everything (taxi drivers won't take you anywhere unless you're crossing the bridge over to Taipa), the stale smell of cigarette smoke is everywhere... Dear Guest, We apologise if any of our service standards did not meet your expectations. However, we would like to note that all the public areas within our hotel are non-smoking. Our hotel lobby is also strictly a non-smoking area, and we also have our security or concierge staff constantly on the lookout for guests that might even try to... More

Its a nice hotel near to the Ferry station and ok for the price. But for the people visiting first time in Macau, do note that this is not at the "happening" place. Booking a hotel near Cotai can be a better idea. Staff is helpful, polite, Pros Free shuttle ( but almost every hotel in Macau has) Big room... More

Dear Guest, We very much appreciate your comments regarding your stay at the Rio Hotel Macau. We are delighted to read that you are happy with our services as we pride ourselves with the well-trained staff that we have and the prime location that we are in. Though not as fascinating as the cotai strip, however, we position ourselves for... More

Arrived Macao on 2 days short trip and stayed in the Rio hotel and Casino. It is centrally located with shopping and good transport facilities. Beautifully decorated golden lobby with all possible amenities. Very good room service but tea and coffee were not available for morning freshness. Venetian mall and Macao tower are not very far. Enjoyed my dream stay.

Stayed there for 1 night . The location is a bit off from the centre of town, but its around a 15 min walk , which is not far if you know how to get around , otherwise you can walk over to LKF hotel for buses to town. However its much easier to come back as a number of... More

Honestly, we did not stay in the hotel and hence can not comment on the rooms and service. We were in a group of tourists from Hong Kong to Macau with our lunch organised at the Rio coffee shop in this hotel. Right from entry to the third floor cafe, the hotel looked grand. Besides taking our lunch there, we... More

the city walking is a little confusing but keep a map or bus route because every block looks the same. Breakfast buffet was very enjoyable as a mixture of western and some eastern food. Iliked it most because it is away from the super tourist district near the major casinos.

The lounge was nice with luxurious looking furniture. The bedroom was clean and comfortable and the hotel was situated in a decent place. It definitely wasn't one of the most luxurious hotels in Macau but it was decent.
