Half the hotel is closed, the rest is pretty grim. It's old and smelly, feels like a bad ride at Disney. Facilities and gym very poor. Nothing to do with the Vegas Rio - or certainly nothing like it. In the depressing part of the city as well. Price goes up with currencies exchanges and local taxes.

I stayed for 4 nights. This hotel reminds me of the glorious hotels in Las Vegas. Very spacious and big lobby. Extra Luxurious. It has a casino in the lobby if you are interested. The staff speaks English but they can improve. As Portuguese is the second official language in Macao, where everything is written in Chinese and in Portuguese,... More

I stayed in this hotel in May of last year for one night and it was a great experience. I was upgraded to a bigger room and was told I could stay an extra night for the same price if I wanted to, I didn't as I had already booked a hotel in HK otherwise I definitely would have. I... More

They are renovating the hotel ( so yes you can hear hammers during the day) and scaffolding was being put up outside. Our room was fabulous. Comfortable beds.Spacious, spotless, well equipped, great bathroom. WiFi poor with lots of log in's Staff apart from concierge and bell hop pretty invisible. Only one was really proficient in English and catching buses. We... More

Checked in and were presented with complementary drinks vouchers and discounts off of the food. The entrance was beautiful, I couldnt help but take a couple of pictures. The hotel isn't in the main strip, as first time visitors TO Macau (and not doing any research at all before arriving) we didn't realise that all of our plans were on... More

The photos for this hotel make it look like a glamorous stay in the middle of the action of Macau, but it's anything but. The rooms are old and dirty, the location is far from just about everything (taxi drivers won't take you anywhere unless you're crossing the bridge over to Taipa), the stale smell of cigarette smoke is everywhere... Its a nice hotel near to the Ferry station and ok for the price. But for the people visiting first time in Macau, do note that this is not at the "happening" place. Booking a hotel near Cotai can be a better idea. Staff is helpful, polite, Pros Free shuttle ( but almost every hotel in Macau has) Big room... More

Arrived Macao on 2 days short trip and stayed in the Rio hotel and Casino. It is centrally located with shopping and good transport facilities. Beautifully decorated golden lobby with all possible amenities. Very good room service but tea and coffee were not available for morning freshness. Venetian mall and Macao tower are not very far. Enjoyed my dream stay.
