To the best of my knowledge, there are no hookers at the Hotel Lisboa. There were absolutely none when I was last there, in May 2017, and my TripAdvisor review discusses that issue at some length. Several years ago, the lowest level of the Lisboa had some, but they walked in groups rapidly back and forth, and unless a male initiated contact first, they never did. The male most likely would need to do that either in Cantonese or Chinese National Language. If they went with Asians it was because they spoke no Western languages. But again, as of 7 months ago, the hotel had eradicated this activity. A hotel guard even intercepted my girlfriend and me when we entered the hotel at night to ensure she was a legitimate hotel guest. She's in her 40s, and was dressed extremely conservatively, so I assume what triggered the security officer was that I am Caucasian and she is Asian, though not Chinese.
