Large top floor 2 bedroom apartment no. 7. Basic, dated, but very clean and everything worked. Comfortable beds. Amazing views from balcony of mountains, salt lake, sea and farmland with cows, pheasants, and horse riders passing by. Excellent sunsets. Only about 5 minutes walk to the main bars and restaurants and another 5 to the beach. The Aircon and fridge were a little bit noisy so we wore earplugs to sleep. Safe was in reception which we felt was secure. The pool looked lovely and clean, but we always go to the beach, do didn't spend any time there. Owners were very friendly, always greeted us with a smile and hello and asked if everything was ok. We had hot water in the evenings but sadly none in the mornings. Fridge had a freezer compartment which worked perfectly.
I'll start with the good point ... everywhere was clean We had the pool to ourselves most days which was lovely OK here we gocwe had this most gastly green wood panelling around the round that felt like you was in a prison.. very dated The patio door makes so much noise when opening it it's unreal The shower you had to hold and had cracked tiles in bathroom The wardrobe not sure what the thing underneath t was maybe to hold it up There was the weird wood half wall with another bed the right by sink The cutlery draw stank ... hence never cooked or used cutlery One sheet and I pillow each no spares anywhere Never ate at hotel so can't comment on that Theres cracked tiles and walk ways so be careful No safe ... no TV... have to pay for Aircon which we didn't bother with No plug socket by dressing table it was by the bed so you couldn't see what you was doing while drying your hair OK on a Sunday when we was there they were mowing the lawn areas .... WARNING ⚠ move from the sunbeds while it's being done as something got caught in mower and flew into side of my head.... still sore and still have lump there now ... I jumped and screamed We made the best of it and had a laugh would of changed hotels if we had the money but it really needs modifications made to it and bought upto date It was really peaceful but whether that's cause it was end of September I'm not sure…
I stayed in Oasis for 2 weeks in September 2022 - this was my third time staying there. What I like is that is that it is off the main road, so very peaceful, but only a few minutes walk to the nearest supermarket and the main drag. There are fields on either side, usually with cows and bee hives, and a nearby field with goats and hens. OK so you hear cocks crowing in in the morning but I like that. The salt lake is only a few minutes walk away and the beaches again are not far depending on where you want to go. Yes - you have to be aware of mosquitoes, so take spays or burners. The owners and staff are lovely - especially the cleaner who came virtually every day. The pool area is lovely. Mythos is €3 served in the traditional Greek way with glass out of the freezer - just great! The bed room was clean and the bathroom and equipment are basic - If you want 5 star then this is not for you, but as a quiet relaxing, accessible, good clean basic accommodation, I would recommend it. I hope, if you go, you enjoy your stay.…
Lots of mosquitos around apartments due to the location. Husband got bitten 70+ times despite lots of repellent etc. Got Repel from pharmacy which helped & antibiotic cream but it did spoil our holiday somewhat.
We stayed at the Oasis for the first 2 weeks of July. We had room 5 on the ground floor with great views of the mountains, salt lake and sunsets. Room was cleaned each day except Sunday, bedding changed every 3 days and had all you needed, a toaster would be nice though. The Oasis is about a 5 minutes walk from the main road with shops and restaurants and a good supermarket. Another 5 minutes and you are at the beach. Sunbeds 5 euros each. We hired 2 bikes from Nikos near the hotel, good fun and great to get around. Would recommend Plori and Dana for a good evening meal. The pool, food and drink at the Oasis are very good, no problem getting a sunbed, plenty of shade. All the staff are very attentive, the couple in charge are lovely. Great choice for a budget holiday.
Very clean .Rooms were cleaned everyday nice peaceful holiday lovely food great staff owner are a lovely couple will do anything for you the pool is great plenty of sun beds beautiful view over the salt lakes and the sunset is beautiful hope to c you next year
After reading the negative reviews, we found this place a perfect gem and everything we wish for.The couple couldn't do enough for you and the area was so relaxing.Hope to see you again for another peaceful and tranquil holiday.
This accommodation is large (several blocks) with a pool and bar/snacks area. The rooms we had were fine. Cleaned every day. The lady who greeted us speaks good English and was helpful and friendly. It’s located in Tigaki, about 10 mins walk from the beach and about 5 minutes from the main road with all of the restaurants and bars. It was a good price too, part of the reason we chose it. Recommended.
I would strongly ignore the negative comments about this hotel, The elderly couple couldn't do enough for us all week and the rooms were clean and changed daily. The location is perfect for the nightlife & Restaurants, the pool and adjacent areas are well kept and pleasant. If your after a quiet week in a beautiful location Id strongly recommend. Andy
This is the worst place I have ever stayed in. I arrived with small children with heavy luggage in the middle of the night. A grumpy old man demanded money for tourist tax without even saying hello. He quickly walked off up a flight of stairs leaving me and the children ( the youngest was 5 ) struggling to keep up with him. He then opened the apartment door and walked off without saying a word. Although I saw him everyday for the rest of the holiday, he never spoke a word to me again. He was one of 3 mean and rude old men in charge of the hotel. They continued to ignore me for the rest of the holiday, not even bothering to say hello back when I said hello. I often saw them yelling at the guests for no apparent reason. I felt uncomfortable and unwelcome my entire stay. The children were afraid of these men as they saw them loudly yelling at other children. The room I stayed in was in bad condition. The tiles were broken on the floor ( we had to put a suitcase over them in case someone cut their foot), the lamp shades were broken, the kitchen utensils were disgusting and filthy, the shower curtains were held up by a thin wire nailed to the wall, there was nothing to hold the shower up so you have to hold it and hose yourself down, there was no hot water half the time, also there were huge gaps under the doors so the place is constantly filled with mosquitoes. We decided to eat there the first morning and never again. The food was expensive and poor. My scrambled egg was burnt and there was no butter on the toast. My cappuccino was a luke warm stale cup of coffee with canned cream squirted on it. We discovered far better and cheaper places to eat just down the road. After returning from the beach I laid my beach shoes out to dry on the balcony railings. My shoe happened to drop down to the garden below. I could see the old men were working in the garden not too far away. I went to retrieve my shoe straight away. However, the shoe was gone and the old men denied they had seen it. I never did get it back. There is a large TV under lock and key in the communal area which the guests are not allowed to watch. It only gets unlocked in the evening where the three old men sit in the dark and watch greek soap operas whilst ignoring all guests that walk past. This service is not typical of my stay in Kos, TIngaki was filled with great restaurants and friendly staff. Alot of the local people in restaurants and hotels near by are aware of the problems with this hotel, I have never seen anything like this in my life. This place is similar to something you would see on Gordon Ramseys Hotel Nightmares. The only plus to this hotel was that it was quiet, however I think that is because none of the guest want to be there.…
