Labranda Marine Aquapark is frequently commended for its friendly staff and spotless environment, with guests enjoying the modern, clean ambiance and fun themed nights. The aquatic facilities are a hit among all ages, although some visitors suggest there's room for improvement. We weren’t originally booked into this hotel but got moved by jet2 a couple of weeks before we came away. We had already discounted this hotel due to its remote location and the other hotel
looking smarter and more modern on the jet2 website but having stayed at a 4* labranda hotel last year in lanzarote we decided to go with it and make the most of our week away.

Check in was easy and the girl on reception was lovely. We were then taken to our room on a buggy by a friendly guy who carried our cases up for us. The room was fine, immaculately clean, only complainta with the room was the poor lighting and water seeped under the door when it rained. Bathroom a bit tired but perfectly functional. The pool towels that were left in our room for us looked old and were stained So we used our own.

We struggled with food at times. Queues were massive at peak times due to staff serving food at the buffet rather than being able to help yourself. You couldn’t see what was on offer until you got to it but we accept this was because of Covid and not the hotels fault. We have never been to a hotel where you couldn’t have toast at breakfast and found breakfast quite poor in general. Lunch and dinner were better.
We booked into the Italian and Greek restaurants. The Italian was nice but when we arrived at the Greek it was closed. No sign up, nothing! Our reservation was 20.45, much later than we normally ate so after hanging around for over an hour in the bar area, at nearly 9pm with 2 hungry kids we had to go into the dining room. We could have done this hours before if only a sign had been there. We weren’t the only ones walking up and down the stairs to the Greek/Italian restaurants wondering what was going on.

The pool/outdoor areas I thought were quite dirty. Sun beds needed replacing and generally the outdoor area felt old and tired. I noticed on the first day something had been spilled all the way down a wall at the back of the amphitheater and was neber cleaned off throughout the duration of our holiday. The kids really enjoyed the pools though and the slides/wave pool were excellent. The poolside snack bar was good and served different food each day and we tended to eat there at lunchtime. There was an ice cream
parlour behind the slides however this wasn’t part of the all inclusive. The only ice cream included was at the dining room during mealtimes which I have never experienced before.

The location was extremely remote. The beach wasn’t really a beach, although there was a nice
beach a 5 minute walk away with one taverna if you fancy a change but there was nothing else to walk to at all.

The staff at this hotel were it’s best asset, everyone
we met were friendly and efficient and we couldn’t fault the team.

I can see how this once could have been 4* but it’s now tired and dated and labranda need to address this. I did feel slightly disappointed that we didn’t get the holiday we booked but we did have a good break and are grateful that this hotel accommodated us at short notice.

Yesterday we left the hotel after 7 days! It was so hard to leave, it was our first holiday abroad with our little girl and I We can’t thank the hotel enough! We arrived late on Friday evening and check in was speedy! They had reserved some sandwiches which we thought was very kind as there was nowhere nearby and the kitchen was closed. We were taken to our room on a buggy which was lovely as we were extremely tired and had a little one in tow. The rooms are nice, very basic and decor is nice but could do with a revamp but that’s just nitpicking! The room was immaculately clean and I have to shout out the cleaning staff as they are amazing! I only ever saw 2-3 cleaners but the rooms were cleaned thoroughly everyday and towels replenished etc. The evening entertainment is good especially for families, the mini disco was the highlight for us as it was the first time our daughter had experienced it! The pools are gorgeous, great for all ages and there is an adults only pool for those who would prefer it. Staff were always happy to help, they were kind and always smiled or said hello when passing! They also always acknowledged our little girl and were happy to engage with her and we’re always lovely!

To address some of the reviews that are negative regarding the hotel. The food is quite samey but we ate out every evening and only ate breakfast at the hotel and used the snack bar occasionally. The food is well cooked, always hot and fresh and the guys cooking and serving are also amazing. They too deserve a shout out as they must be so warm in their masks but we’re always polite and friendly. The waiting staff were also extremely kind and worked so so hard in difficult circumstances considering the social distancing rules and PPE. Tables were always clean, there was high chairs always available which were cleaned and the waiting staff were always incredibly attentive especially with our daughter. My only grumble is the shop in the hotel. The shop itself is amazing and well stocked especially for snacks and drinks as our daughter didn’t like the hotel juice! However, one of the ladies is incredibly rude on a number of occasions.

There’s so much more I could write but i have to stop somewhere. I will end on some more shout outs for amazing staff/service: pool bar staff and the entertainment team especially the main guy (I didn’t catch his name), the waiters working in the rooftop restaurants with the biggest smiles, the gentleman behind the snack bar, the lovely gent on reception when we checked in and the lady with the red hair who I believe is the pool bar manager? She was incredible.

We cannot wait to come back here, we are so sad to leave and would like to say a massive thank you for an amazing week!

Really good resort for all.

Kids loved it, we loved it.

Couldn't fault it. Had everything all in distance. Perfect resort . The pools were great and has minimal chlorine so yo cant taste a thing, the water is 7.8ph perfecto! Slides where great for all what more could you ask for.

Everyone was so friendly and welcoming and would also have a laugh. Main entertainment wernt on in october however there was still put on kids disco and entertainment themselves which was great and had dj in. Just the same as your reg all inclusive hol entertainment. Couldn't fault it.

Resort is level so no hills. And theres ramps for access.

Bars were great and the local beer was really nice. Theres a bus that goes to kos old town/the marina and is €2 per adult and they run frequently. Restaurant was great good selection for all meals and varied different days. Various cereals yogurts cookies cakes fruits etc.

Banging fried eggs. And the pizza the cook infront of you was amazing. Every pizza they did was banging!
Overall the food was what youd normally get on a decent all inc 4star holiday.

Decent lil beach they have onsite but if you walk down their beach for literally less than 10 mins you'll get to a decent sandy/salty beach which was nice.

Not much more needs to be said.

Overall great Holiday for Familys and I would definitely recommend!

Always look at pics before hand, however I find best to search the resort on youtube before hand. That's the best way to see if the resort for you. And the resort looked good and was good

Great Holiday 2020

We changed our holiday to Kos with a week and half notice due to our trip to Majorca being cancelled and it was the best choice we could have made. The hotel was clean 24/7, the maids cleaned the rooms everyday thoroughly and the dining rooms and all other areas were cleaned regularly. Considering we were there during a pandemic I have never felt safer. The all inclusive buffet was served by the staff, and yes it was busy, but they can't have enough staff to serve every single person that goes up to eat. The food was replenished so regularly and it was all delicious. Fresh pizza made in front of you, salads to die for and all other kinds of food. The speciality restaurants are incredible and well worth booking in advance for.
Addressing a comment below about the sunbeds, yes you have to get up and reserve a sunbed but every all inclusive I have been to (and that is a lot) you have had to do this. Also, we are there during a pandemic, they are not able to cram loads of beds round the pool, we are supposed to be atleast 1.5 metres apart!

The weather was incredible the entire stay, never a cloud in the sky, but the breeze that came most afternoons was a life saver. The views were gorgeous being right next to the sea and not being in a built up area it was amazing. The bus to Kos Town was easy to get on and cost 2 euros each adult going and less than that coming back. The town itself is beautiful and worth a visit. We didn't venture to Tigaki, but would need to walk or get a taxi, but friends we made went and said the beach was gorgeous and the bars serving cheap cocktails (if that is your thing). The beach near the hotel is 5 mins to the left out of the hotel and worth a visit.

There wasn't very much for the kids going on in the day but the Kids Disco every night was on for an hour which was great which in some hotels I have been to it has been very short.

Ice-cream in the day is not included in your all inclusive but it was delicious and reasonably priced!

All in all we had the best stay and if we can we will definitely be returning!

Thanks for a fantastic stay! We stayed for 2 weeks, and it was not long enough!

Small tip though, if you aren't travelling with children then this hotel may not be for you. The pools are most definitely aimed at giving children the best holiday.

Just returned from an enjoyable week away at Labranda. The hotel is immaculately clean, gardens are pretty and the pools were a huge hit! The large beach pool with a wave machine allows people to have fun, swim and float on inflatables. The water park pool has slides for toddlers up to bigger ones for big kids. The watchful lifeguards kept everyone safe - something which previous reviewers appear to have had a problem with?!
The buffet restaurant was well organised with staff serving guests to avoid people touching the tongs during Covid. The food offered lots of choice and was delicious. My daughter loved the handmade pizzas and watching the chef’s make them. My sister and I enjoyed the fresh salads, fresh fruit and huge choice of main courses. My son was a little harder to feed at times as he has a dairy intolerance but we always found something and he was delighted they had jelly for pudding as he couldn’t have ice creams or desserts. The pool bar served salad, chips, hotdogs and sometimes chicken wings etc. The amount of plastic waste from the pool bar was a shame, lots of small plastic cups used once and then thrown away. The rooftop a la carte restaurant (included twice per stay) made a welcome change to self service. We ate out in Kos once and would have gone out more but the weather was so wonderfully hot that our primary-age kids just wanted to be in the water all day.
The entertainment team worked hard with limited resources- the kids club and entertainment stage were a bit dilapidated so the kids evening disco was hosted around the pool bar.
If you want a pleasant reasonably priced break to have fun with your children this is a great place to go. I would rate the hotel as 2 star. We met some lovely people staying at the hotel but it does seem to attract a yobbish element who think pool safety rules don’t apply to them. Towards the end of our week a lot of the Greek and German tourists were going home and some British flights flooded in. Oh my word how the atmosphere changed. People who wanted to drink as much as possible in the sun, didn’t look like they’d ever seen a vegetable or heard of sun lotion and thought that they didn’t need to say please or thank you or supervise their children.

Firstly we were so anxious due to reading previous reviews but due to having worked through the pandemic we were determined to have best holiday possible! We weren't disappointed!!

Arrived after 10pm so rather than checkin staff told us to go straight through to restaurant for food before they shut! Checkin smooth and bugged to our room even though only 1 block from main building.

Had a small walk before heading for bed. Woke next morning to clear blue skies, had an amazing breakfast before hitting the pool for a full 8hrs! Kids (5 and 7) loved the slide pool, depth made it feel safe and allowed for enormous amounts of fun!

Breakfast, lunch and dinner were fine, no complaints. Never had same thing more than once in the week for dinner. Salads were incredible as wee the puddings!!!!!!! Greek and Italian restaurants delicious! And the sunset from the Italian is like nothing I ever seen. Drinks could be a bit slow at busy times in restaurant but we just ordered 2 at a time. Pool bar and lobby bar never much wait.

Room basic and bit dated but clean and big, and we only used as a base! We booked the 1 bed family room, but had 2 large rooms and good size shower room. We were block 23 which was ideally between the main building and pool. Cleaned daily!

Pools amazing, we spent most time in slide pool as kids were safe and loved them. But went in wave pool for a proper swim, didn't bother with adult only pool as we were on a family holiday!

Beach isn't quite a beach, a strip of sand with steps down to the sea, but a bit stoney. But I managed a daily swim. And 5mins to the left is the aptly named Sandy Beach and 10mins to right is a beach with watersports.

We walked to Tigaki took about an hour, amazing beach, 12€ taxi back.
Bus stop at top of road to hotel to Kos, 2€ per adult, 1€ over 6. Takes about 15mins. Taxi is 12€

We enjoyed our free 15min massage so much that we paid extra for 30mins.
Free courtesy room to shower before transfer to airport as left hotel at 6pm.

Due to Covid hotel doing exceptional, all staff in mask or visor and gloves. Restaurant disinfected chairs and tables between guests. Buffet served by server's which I prefer!

Overall couldn't fault the hotel, and staff!
We have been to the caribeean all inclusive and this wasn't far from being on par. Our first trip to Greek Islands and definitely not our last!!!! Greeks super friendly, food amazing, sun and sky unreal!

Go and enjoy! And one more thing I would definitely recommend the Captain Hook 3 island trip from Kos Harbour

First start with the good points , like to leave an honest review as I rely on these reviews myself having 2 autistic children it’s vital we know were we are going and the type of resort wel be at
So firstly the staff are exceptional, especially the bar pool staff a lovely lady called oxana and a young man who s name I don’t recall , very polite, lovely greetings everyday and very helpful when one of our sons had an accident breaking his front teeth they were extremely helpful.
The restaurant staff work tirelessly ensuring tables are clean and always available, there’s a good variety of food not loads and I’d a bit repetitive but always something to chose from, the restaurant manager is also very good and the times our 2 autistic children couldn’t find anything to eat he actually went to the chef and have them cook up something for them which we couldn’t of asked more for.
We initially booked a double family room on arrival we’re giving 2 separate family rooms which meant my wife and my self had to sleep in separate rooms with 2 of our children each but the rooms were how ever clean a little out of date but cleaned every day and of a 3 star rating. The resort it’s self is a nice little Holliday village with a large wave pool and a good size splash park and a water slide park that kept the kids entertained all day, there’s a snack bar serving bbq food from noon till 5pm again repetitive but kept the kids content with chips nd pizza etc.
Now for the down falls this resort is in the middle of no where ! Cost 70 euros to go to kos and back and all though there was some good excursions and beautiful restaurant s in town 70 euros a day mounts up or 24 euros in a taxi each way .
The entertainment staff for the kids at the hotel although very friendly and great with the kids do the same thing every single day and the night time hotel entertainment is dreadful most nights most people got up and left we spent most evenings in our room , although the hotel bar was ok if it got rowdy was too much for our autistic children which can’t be put down to the hotel. But by far the worst entertainment I’ve experienced at a hotel, if your planning on coming here for a full on all inclusive Holliday nd are staying on site the whole time prepare for some time in your room . The drinks weren’t bad but definable aren’t the best we paid for a lot of branded drinks during our 2 weeks , all in all we enjoyed our Holliday but probably wouldn’t return purely to the location of the hotel , very very good 5 star staff , not bad all inclusive food and drink just in a bad location and with been so costly to travel out every night would put us off returning , all in all still enjoyed our stay and would like to thank all the staff for their tireless work 😊

Dear Sir Thank you for choosing Labranda marine Aquapark for the holidays Thank you very much for all the comments you took the time to submit to us. Your warm comments for our staff can be sure that they will be transmitted as well as your positive comments about the restaurant's food. We take the issues that bothered you very seriously and believe me with this it is not a formal answer but an honest answer because here at Marine Aquapark our goal is for all our customers to leave happy. I'm particularly sorry that you did not like the evening entertainment. We have set up an external professional entertainment group each night to offer variety to our clients to avoid exactly what you say "every day is the same" I am also saddened that you did not ask to meet me or our guest relation manager to solve any problems you face immediately. A possible change of room would immediately solve the problem of loud sound. All the staff of our hotel are always here to offer the best possible solutions. The cost of the taxi is 12 euros per route. I would very much like to have met you and to offer to you and your family the best hospitality and especially in such a delicate matter. I sincerely want you to accept my apology and we would be happy to see you again and offer you exactly what we could not do this time Yours sincerely George Veltsidis General Manager

Only 15 mins transfer from the airport. This hotel is great! The hotel is very Covid aware and I NEVER saw one member of staff without a mask on.

My husband and two sons (9 and 11) visited here at the end of October, the week before shutdown. We thought certain activities or entertainment might have stopped but…no way! The entertainment was great, especially the Halloween parties for the kids. The main guy from the entertainment was so talented (sorry forgot his name).

Every breakfast, lunch and dinner in the restaurant was amazing. The quality of food was wonderful, lots of different meat, fish and veggie dishes freshly prepared and full choice every day even though it wasn’t peak season. Well done to the kitchen staff they were superb as were the wonderful waiting staff especially Emmaneula.

We stayed in room 2103 which was a perfect location, 2 mins from the pools, the restaurant, the parks and the pool bar. The room was basic and dated but spotlessly clean with towels changed every day and bedding once in a week. The bathroom was the only downside as it needed a total overhaul but it was cleaned every day.

The pool bar served drinks in paper cups which is better than plastic and the snack bar served amazing chips as well as souvlaki, gyros, hot dogs, chicken wings, salads and fruit salads etc. Lovely old guy worked on their too. There are 3 pools, a quiet adult pool, kids splash and slide pool and a massive wave pool, my boys were never out of these it was great and the lifeguards were always on the ball. There is a small beach literally next to the pools but access to the sea is over rocks, just a 5 min walk down the dusty path past the tennis court and there is a beach called Sandy Beach with a shelving Sandy beach into the sea, there are very comfy sun beds and umbrellas for €8 for two and a lovely taverna with a boat in the grounds which does great food.

Thank you for a lovely holiday Labranda and big shouts out to Manan and Spiros!

We arrived at 1100 and after filling the arrivals form headed straight to the pool while our room was being prepared.
We was in no hurry to get to the room and after lunch at the buffet we went to room 1115 which was out of the way with a view of the sea and mountain.
When we booked we asked for a quiet room and it was, I would say the best place in the hotel with 2 adjoining rooms and 2 balconies an entrance with fridge and a bathroom.
In the evenings you could not hear the music and in the mornings we say on the balcony looking at the sea.
The hotel has 3 pools an adult pool which the kids liked and is quiet with no que to the bar. A wave pool long and fun then a slide pool area which was noisy but fun.
The food throughout was great, excluding the Greek restaurant which you can book once per stay, a better practice would be to order the food when you book which would enable a better menu as the meat we had was very fatty.
The buffet food had a good selection with different food each day.
We went on our adventures hiring a jeep and the 4 seater buggy going around the island to different beaches snorkeling.
The horse ride at salt lake was memereable and well worth doing for all abilities. Also the thermal beach which is crazy hot, we also managed a massage whilst there.
All in all the hotel was great reception professional, bell boy helpful and bar people friendly.
I would recommend this hotel to my famy and friends.

I came here with my mother and 2 kids, on arrival (around midnight) we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist, he offered us lemon or Cucumber water and there were a selection of sandwiches at the bar for late arrivals which was nice as were delayed and hungry by this point, our room was nice, we had a view of the gardens which was absolutely beautifully lit up on a night time, our room was cleaned and towels changed daily and a bottle of water left in the fridge which was great. Food was really nice, plenty of choices, I loved the pizza 😍 the kids loved the pool and slides and enjoyed the snack bar. You pay for the icecream around the pool for €1.50 which is totally worth it. It was 38° when we were there and there were plenty of shaded areas, they say the pool opens at 10am but my advice would be get down there around 8am and put your towels down as everyone does, we waited till 10am on the first day and they were all gone so we spent the day on the private beach area which was also beautiful, little steps leading down to the sea for a swim with the most amazing view. You can go into Kos Town, 2 euros on the bus or 12 euros for a taxi, we got a taxi which reception booked for us. We opted for the Italian meal in the restaurant upstairs which was amazing and the view from up there as the sun was going down was just out of this world, to book the Greek or Italian meal you just book it from a lady opposite reception after 9am the day before you're wanting to go.

The only downfalls of my holiday was on the last day at around 3pm in the afternoon a member of security knocked on our door as we were showering and packing as we were leaving a couple of hours later, he said a noise complaint was put in about us which is absolutely ridiculous, its 3pm in the afternoon you shouldn't have to tip toe around, how do you shower quietly? How does 4 people pack quietly? Again at 3pm in the afternoon, it was absolutely ridiculous and this ruined the last few hours of my holiday, I think this should have been handled better. Also the aircon started leaking water aswel. However these wouldn't put me off staying here again. The staff were amazing and so friendly. I would definitely return the Labranda in the future.

I’ve also received an email from EasyJet holidays today to state the hotel will be closed and our holiday at Labranda has been cancelled. Luckily we’ve got another hotel sorted but it’s a shame as we booked this hotel specifically for our kids.

You can book 1 restaurant per stay. They do have a "green deal" whereby if you sacrifice your daily housekeeping for 2 days, you can book an extra 2 nights.

I google napped when there and it was around 45 minutes to get to Tigkaki beach or €15 in a taxi. Kos town was €13 in a taxi and was probably around a 30/40 minute walk x
