Fili Apartments garners appreciation for its good value, with guests noting reasonable prices for food and services, although some additional costs for amenities are mentioned. The rooms are found to be spacious and clean but could benefit from modernization. The service receives accolades for the staff's warm and accommodating nature. While the location is tranquil and proximate to the beach, the lack of sunbeds is noted. The hotel's cleanliness, especially the well-maintained pools, is consistently praised, and the atmosphere offers a comfortable if slightly dated, experience.

Had a wonderful two weeks at Fili (29/05 - 12/06) arrived around 2am and got a super friendly greeting at reception, The owner acknowledged our email request for a quiet apartment and we were helped with our cases to number 11.

The room was just perfect, Up a small flight of stairs, A balcony at the front, small kitchen & living room area, Decent sized bathroom & wardrobe space, 2 single beds and enough bedroom furniture with sliding door & security grill leading onto the rear balcony with a decent sized table & chairs. The front balcony received the early morning sun & the rear balcony the late afternoon sun & the wonderful sunsets over the sea view’s, Table & chairs moved accordingly. Total privacy on the rear balcony & in earshot of the waves crashing onto the beach = Bliss.

Room cleaned 13 out of the 14 day’s and more than enough towel changes, cleaners friendly & worked hard.

Had breakfast & lunch a couple of times and the food was cooked well, Plentiful & reasonably priced. Large beers served in frosted glasses at 3.5 euros were welcome in the blistering heat.

Two decent sized swimming pools & one for the toddlers, Plenty of sunbeds & refreshing to see no ‘Sunbed Hoggers’ , Music from the bar was chilled & relaxed played at the right level.

The bus stop to Kos town is a 5 minute walk, The beach (No sunbeds) another couple of minutes walk. Local supermarket another 10 minutes away. Beaches with sunbeds are approx a 30 minute walk from Fili. Ampeli restaurant serving wonderful food in a working vineyard a 5 minute walk from the bus stop.

We like to walk so Fili isthe perfect location for us and will definitely return someday.

We stayed on the bed and breakfast option and mainly used Fili as a base to explore, although we did attend the two Greek/barbecue nights, which are a must for anyone staying. Accommodation is quite basic on the self catering side, but that’s typical for Greece. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, although beds quite hard! Small flat screen television on wall, never used it, fridge and kettle also in room, shower only no bath, not a problem. Room was clean and there was a a balcony with table and chairs. Air con was a must @ €5 per day. Safety deposit box available next to reception, two keys needed, you have one and reception has the other, good safe system. There is a charge, cannot remember what as my son-in-law paid.
Staff at the hotel are polite and helpful, they are all family as this is a small family run hotel, they will go that extra mile to be helpful to guests and I cannot praise them enough for making our stay so pleasant.
The restaurant is open all day serving a good range of food to suit all tastes, prices are reasonable and will not sting your wallet as are the drink prices.
Plenty of sun beds, so no need to fight for a space, two adult pools and one small child’s splash pool, all kept in pristine condition.
There is a bus stop less than five minutes walk from the hotel, buses are regular to Kos,Tigaki and Marmari, single fare to Kos is €2.10. Cycles are available for hire, check with reception they will advise.
Tigaki is about a 30min walk from the hotel, there are numerous Tavernas and bars along the one Main Street in Tigaki and it’s a fairly layer back place, certainly no hassle.
Tigaki beach has numerous places you can rent a sun bed for the day @ €5 per bed all day, look our for George the Donut guy, great character and great do nuts various flavours.
The beach near the hotel is about 5 mins walk but there are no sunbeds at that location.
Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Fili Apartments and Tigaki, so much so that the family all want to go back, I’m going back in a couple of months. So if you’re looking for that relaxed location with excellent hosts, then the Fili ticks that box.
Thank you everyone at the Fili Apartments.

I spent 12 nights here and it was the best service I’ve ever had in such kind of this hotels , very nice team working here ( I think there are a family running this hotel). the room it isn’t that big but it was more than enough for me and my wife and easy to cool down with the air conditioning, the kitchen is enough to cook something fast and easy, they have some pans and cooking stuff so it is good. Now to the business, the food was so delicious anything you order from them we gonna love , really delicious food with a very nice desert after that, again there service is just so awesome ( kebab and stifado is highly recommended). For the pools they are really clean and I saw the guy there taking samples several times so you can say that they really care enough about it. The location of the hotel I found it just awesome 3 minutes slow walking and you are at the coast road , long road and all of it just sand beaches with some trees so you can chill in the shade and if you want just few minutes more you can arrive to beaches that served with drinks, parasols, and chairs. Supermarket also close to the hotel.
I loved it at there hotel and would love to come back again

What a great holiday we’ve had here! Stayed 11 nights with my partner and 8 year old son, Isaac. The staff can’t do enough for you. The quality and price of the food means you don’t have to leave the hotel at all if you don’t want too. I’d recommend the Special burger and the kebab. Both are amazing! It’s a walk into the town of Tingaki and if you have a car it’s 3-4 minuets. The accommodation and pool are just lovely. Clean, with a fridge in the room. The pool is warm, with a slide for kids and adults alike. If you like the beach, it’s a 5 minute walk to a sandy stretch where the water is crystal clear. An example of Greek hospitality at its best. Enjoy 😊

From the moment we arrived the staff couldn’t do enough for us, we paid €5 for 10 nights apart-hotel tax, they carried our bags to our room, gave us the Wi-Fi code which worked in our room (36) too which was a great bonus and we purchased a big bottle of water for €1. It was €5 euros per night for aircon which is standard for Greece. We were half board and we picked off a menu for freshly cooked breakfasts and evening meals and food was really good with plenty and outstanding service. We had the steak a couple of nights which was superb and so tasty. The BBQ Greek night is a must we had so much fun joining in dancing and a few activities haha, it’s free if you’re half board or €15 euros pp if you’re not. A large beer was €3.50 at the bar. It’s only a 2 min walk to the sea front where you can watch amazing sunsets sat on the beach. It’s also only a 10 min walk to the nearest supermarket but lidl is 2 miles away so we walked there and paid €10 for a taxi with lots of beer and water etc which was so cheap. We hired bikes from fili and they were €5 each per day and the longer you hire them the cheaper it is. It was a 35 min cycle into Kos town and we parked them up at the ferry port and caught the 20 min ferry to Bodrum, Turkey for the day at a cost of €20 each, the ferry we caught was to the cruise terminal and was a lovely 15 min stroll along the harbour to the shops and food outlets, although there was a free shuttle bus. The rooms in fili were very clean and spacious with a lovely balcony with table, chairs and airer, the bed was too hard for us so the next morning we spoke to reception and within 1 hour we had mattress toppers which made it so much better, we had a fridge with a small freezer, kettle, 2 cooking rings and cutlery etc. The pools were lovely and very clean, one with a slide and a baby pool and a quieter one but both big enough for a good swim. Plenty of sun loungers too with big cushions to put on them. The Bus stop is literally 1 min walk away and was the start of the service to Kos town via tagaki and was €2.10 pp each way. It was a 10 min bike ride to tagaki or 30 min walk maybe faster if very active. This is a family run hotel and they are always willing to help, nothing was any trouble. It felt extremely safe and was very relaxing and peaceful.
Thanks for making our holiday so special and we will definitely be back 10/10 to all your amazing family Paul

These apartments are at the quiet end of Tingaki, in very close proximity to a lovely, quiet, tree lined beach. Fresh water shower on beach in front of the Byron apartments.
The apartments themselves are basic but most importantly clean and with comfortable beds. The linens and towels were changed multiple times during the week and housekeeping came in daily to empty bins, toilet roll, sweep etc.
The kitchenette limited so don’t expect to be cooking anything in it but there was a kettle and fridge and small duo hob. No grill or toaster.
Air conditioning is an extra which I think was 5 euros per day.
We didn’t have anybody in the room next door until the last day upon which we could hear conversation and music through the adjoining door and walls. Sure it’s okay and not too noisy as long as everyone respects their neighbours.
The pool areas clean and no shortage of loungers/parasols.
The gardens very beautiful and a lot of effort going into keeping them so.
The snack bar has a small choice of food dishes.
30 mins walk into centre of Tingaki where there is plenty of choice for food and shops. Also plenty of choices along the way.
Supermarket 10 mins walk on seafront and there’s also a fruit and veg stall on the road side 5 mins walk from the bus stop. Follow the sign!
We did use the buses to go into Kos. They were reliable and cheap.
There is a lovely vineyard and taverna accessible via the track behind the apartments that does lovely food and wine in a beautiful setting.

We are leaving today after 8 days at the Fili Apartments, and we've had a wonderful stay.
We had a larger apartment that was expected so that was a bonus! Two bedrooms, they supplied a travel cot for our toddler in the second bedroom and our daughter enjoyed choosing which bed to sleep in each night (there were two singles in their room)
Kitchenette was basic but we expected that; a kettle, an electric two ring hob, fridge. We made our own breakfasts each day and could have done some simple lunches but chose not to.
Bathroom was ok, a decent shower with cubicle.
Bedrooms were roomy with plenty of space and large wardrobes with some hangers.
A little balcony which had a lovely view of the gardens and other apartments.
The grounds were well kept and clean. Some beautiful flowers and plants, free parking. There are three pools, we enjoyed all of them! A baby/toddler pool was perfect for our nearly 2year old, then there's a larger pool with slide - our daughter loved this but couldn't stand in any part of it (she 7) but she's a good swimmer there are plenty of lilos/rings/noodles that everyone uses that she enjoyed. Our boy had a ring and was quite happy in this pool too. And a quieter pool which we also enjoyed (and she could stand at the shallow end of this one) a decent amount of sunloungers (you may have to go out early in busier times)
Food is good (not the best in Kos but decent) and reasonably priced. The gyros in pita for €4 was fab! We did the bbq night which was enjoyable and again very reasonably priced.
The people who work at Fili are lovely! They've made us feel welcome, are polite, friendly, helpful and have dealt with our requests (we asked if our room could be cleaned in the morning as the first couple of days the cleaner came when the kids were napping, this was not a bother at all)
We hired a car for a few days but there is a bus at the end of the road to take you to Tingaki or Kos. We walked to the local small supermarket (15min walk with a buggy and our daughter) To the main strip of Tignaki I think would take maybe 45min...
There is a beach 5min walk from the apartments which was lovely, some trees for shade and a changing hut. There is a hotel there which anyone can use their sunbeds (we didn't as noticed this at the end of our stay!)
There is a stunning traditional taverna Ampeli, 5min walk in a beautiful vineyard, gorgeous food and very friendly. Small play area for this children too with a decent wooden climbing frame and slide. There is also a fruit and veg stall 5min walk (by the road to Ampeli)
All in all a great holiday!

The apartments are basic 2* Greek accommodation. They are extremely clean along with all public areas including pool area . There are 2 good sized pools with plenty of sunbeds that are available at anytime of the day so this avoids Sunbed Wars !! .
Check in is easy however you will be expected to pay the taxes ) at start of holiday) and provide Accommodation Voucher ( if booked independently )
Safety deposit boxes are situated in reception rather than in the room .
Air con is an extra cost approximately €5 per day .
Breakfast started at 8am -12 noon and dinner started at 6pm ( thank you to Chef )
I hired a push bike at $5 and loved every minute of my time cycling around. To walk into Tigaki will take you 30 mins , I did do it in 25 mins one day !.
If you walk along beach you can stop at King Size and use their sun beds if you buy a drink .
I booked my trips at Theokrotos Travel in tigaki and received wonderful customer service from Louise
Opposite the travel agents there is a well stocked supermarket.
I booked horse riding at salt lake stables in Marmari and had a fantastic sunrise beach ride .
I went to the fabulous hotel Irina opposite bus stop and used their pool and their beach with comfy loungers .
I had a lovely time in Kos however for me personally I would stay closer to the town of Tigaki on my next visit

Perfect in its simplicity - a dream location. I am always very careful when trying to book somewhere to try and find somewhere peaceful. Fili Apartments lives up to this. Situated away from the main “strip” of Tigaki, it is a quiet family run place with exceptional service. The only thing that will wake you in the morning is the sound of the waves, the doves and possibly (depending on the time of year) the heat. The apartments are simple but comfortable (please be aware that you need to pay for AC and to clarify if you have a proper double bed as opposed to two generous singles side) and most have a balcony. There are three pools which are wonderfully clean, and ample chairs to lounge by which get sun for most of the day. The quiet part of the beach is a minute away, the supermarket (very well priced) is 5-10 minutes away depending on your speed. There are also some lovely family run restaurants near by, or you can drive/walk to nearby Tigaki or beyond. It is very easy to access all the key tourist areas from here and there is a bus stop near by also. It’s genuinely very convenient, well priced and comfortable for a simple but very enjoyable stay. Finally, if the above doesn’t convince you to stay, I’m happy to report that Fili apartment staff are simply excellent. Very relaxed, knowledgeable , very kind, generous and also funny. The bar man in particular is credit to the team and creates a wonderful atmosphere for all the guests which ranged from young children to older solo travellers. We hope to stay there again and recommend that you do too.

We arrived at the apartments at around 22.00 local time and they were content to make us a vegan salad and chips. I'm not entirely sure when the apartments cease making food but it seemed like as long as the family were up they were willing to make food for guests provided they received payment.
