An exceptional resort with great facilities. The food at all restaurants on site is outstanding. The team are so friendly and helpful. This appears to be achieved by great management and training. We found the tremendous space and beautiful gardens an absolute joy. The arrangements on site for COVID restrictions were managed well and with great care. The selection and quality of food available in each of the buffet restaurants was first class at each and every visit. We hope to return in the near future. A big thank you to all the Team
Despite 2020 being such a strange year our holiday was so enjoyable and allowed us to forget all the drama back home. The staff were absolutely unreal and so friendly. We was always welcomed with a smile (although hidden behind the mask) and they would always remember small details about what we drunk or what our daughter liked, although they were fully booked and to full capacity. The food was lovely and they always had so many options. The hotel was so clean and we literally couldn’t fault anything. We would definitely revisit.
Stayed for 11 nights in May 2022 on all inclusive basis. Booked via TUI, hotel is part of their 5 star 'a la carte' range so expectations were high given we had paid top dollar. Staff are absolutely amazing, so nice and friendly. Room- we had a swim up room which was clean and modern. Room flooded twice from the shower which the hotel sorted quickly. Air con didn't work but as it was really windy and colder than we expected we only really needed the air con on a couple of days. We were given a quiet room as requested and for the most part, it was lovely and peaceful. Beware of other swim up guests using the row of swim ups as a thoroughfare. Instead of using the front door to their room we regularly had people climbing the raised bushes (clearly not designed as an access/exit point) and literally stepping over us as we lay on the small terrace outside our room. This is both a privacy and safety issue and could probably be stopped by the hotel placing appropriate signage. Requested a double bed and got 2 single beds pushed together. It was no effort to keep pushing them back together but (and sorry if this sounds super fussy), just not expected in a 5 star a la carte hotel. Swim up pool icy cold and therefore unusable but really nice to sit and look at. Mini bar filled up once a day with water, soft drinks, bottle of wine and a couple of beers. Housekeeping staff absolutely superb, grounds and all areas are immaculate. Bars- all inclusive drinks were nice and super strong 10/10. More staff required at sirens bar in the evening as service was very slow. We loved the spicy nuts given out in the evening. We paid for a delicious merlot twice and were charged 25 euros the first time and 16 the second. Food - this is where it was not 5 star a la carte for me as you are very limited for choice. Ithaka restaurant is lovely for dinner, service amazing, but is chargeable. Argo has similar food as the main buffet for lunch/snacks and is on a smaller scale and outside. You can only have 1 x 4 course dinner here per 7 day stay. We enjoyed it. So you're really only left with the main buffet which is pretty limiting for a 5 star a la carte hotel. All inclusive buffet food was good (other half proclaimed the cheese pie was 'the best he's ever had') and i loved the range of salads and delicious soups. The usual hustle, bustle, chaos of the hotel buffet was in evidence here. I agree with the previous reviewer about introducing designated adults only areas. Tip- go later when the families/young kids have been, it's a bit less manic. It would be nice, for the money paid, to have an alternative to the buffet in the all inclusive. Shout out to lovely Angela in the restaurant, excellent service and we really enjoyed talking to her. We didn't venture to evening entertainment or main pool areas (the latter being too windy and exposed for us). Very cold at night early May, take jumpers!…
Arrived on the 3rd May, rooms were beautiful, and the view was of the pool so we were very happy! They had only been opened a week so there was not much going on until our last couple of nights, which was a shame as we enjoy evening entertainment. Pools were absolutely freezing so it was a shame as we like to go into a pool whilst on holiday. Breakfast and lunch were lovely but I found the evening buffet not very exciting and it got boring just after 3 nights. We ended up going into Kos for food. Great bus service just outside the hotel only 2 euros. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and worked really hard to get round to everyone.Drinks were ok, had to pay for some cocktails but they had all the ingredients for free in the all inclusive which I found bizarre. All in all a good holiday and a nice hotel…
Thoroughly enjoyed our week's stay, hard ro find any faults or improvements required. Thoroughly modern and clean resort, very professional and helpful staff, fantastic beach side pool, probably the biggest we have ever used and the food was excellent every day, especially a la carte. Would recommend to anyone.
My review is based on arrival wrong room given 2 beds 3 person. Food quality really poor food cold plates cold and same thing every day in grill bar no choice for diabetes. Drink quality very good house keeping excellent. Managmet poor would not resolve room problems without extra charge of 300. Spa rip of 140 euro for a facial definitely over priced would not go back to this hotel The portobello is so much better
Not a five star resort only one main buffet style restaurant and 1 you can have 1 where you can have 1 meal in, this restraint my meal of salmon was raw and sent beck twice same meal was returned each time, the entertainment was bingo one night then a quiz another night
We have just come back for a weeks holiday and we stayed half board! Personally I don’t think the all inclusive option is worth it unless you’re planning to drink a lot and dine in the buffet every night. Beds were very comfy, rooms were immaculate and the shower was really powerful!! A very nice hotel!!! A few let downs for me… We went for a meal at Argo (one of the A La Carte restaurants) and it was really disappointing. Soup was cold and main wasn’t much better. Buffet food was better. There’s also not an iron in your room. There is one at request but it’s an iron you would have used in the 1980’s. All in all, we had a great time. Some lovely walks to Kos town and Tigaki, if you’re willing to walk 5k and taxis only €12 each way.
We were here for the 3rd time, which says it all. Very spacious hotel on an extended domain so a longer walk from the room to the main building can happen, very friendly staff, good food & drinks which is excellent for Greek food lovers. All-in formula is recommended. The capital of Kos is around 5-6 kilometers away and easily reachable by taxi, bus, car, bicycle... One of the better hotels we visited during over 30 years of travel, by our standards of course...
Teething problems as hotel had only just opened. Superb service from George night porter who settled us into our room after a long delayed flight. Reported air con not working and difficulty with app booking Argos restaurant. Unfortunately lady at reception perhaps didn’t understand us probably to do with wearing of mask and screen. After two lousy nights sleep we reported it to guest services who promptly got onto our issue and arranged for us to speak with the manager who was quick to apologise and ask us what she could do to make it better. Free spa and late checkout were both offered and we accepted the later which was duly arranged. Feedback would be meals a bit samey in buffet for lunch and dinner offer guest on all inc the option to dine at other restaurants. Also consider an adults only section for both poolside and In restaurants for those adults wanting a little peace and quiet. Great for families and well done for sorting issues out with good service.…
