Had a tough decision on staying in the heart of Gili or littel further and getting nicer and cheaper places or villas. The deciding factor was being where the action was that didn't require us to ride bikes every time we wanted to go out to eat or dive etc... and proximity to ferry dock. This place is smack in town and convenient and this would gave me some reiief when my daughters went on their own esp at night as they would just walk. Be sure to get the deluxe room as they are nicer and quieter. They have nice little garden upon entering then nice room with great AC and full jug of water dispensor so have a bottle to refill you needs and put in fridge. The shower is in the semi outdoor washroom. It's not hot and to my surprise no bugs in the washroom. Nice to shower under the stars. Yes the water is a bit salty. They use a mix of fresh and salt water but not too bad. Breaky was at the irish bar and was not too bad, fried rice or noodles, smoothie bowl, pancakes or bacon and eggs. The fruit juices are pretty bad - just cartons but coffee was an americano from real espresso machine. yes there is lots of noise so be warned. Yes some nights til 1-2am. you can hear the thump but were were able to fall asleep after full day of diving/snorkeling or just chillin. The mosque cannot be heard that much at around 5am. We did experience an earthquake our first day in the room. The room shook hard and we found out it was 5.8 magnitude - Aug 22nd. You will hear also some big things running on roof. Not sure if cats or giant rats but no biggy. pool is nothing home to write about. Bit murky but who needs it when you have nice beaches 5 min walk away. Bikes can be rented but i got it slightly cheaper right next door after bargaining a bit overall nice stay - we had connecting room for a family of 4 which was nice. as it was high season it was fairly expensive esp given we needed 2 rooms. But then again Gili T is a bit costly compared to the rest of Indonesia…
We stayed in a deluxe room which was really nice and very good value for what you get. The pool area is lovely and there's a great atmosphere around all day. The bar is also good and they showed live sport which we appreciated, plus organised events like pub quizzes etc. The staff at the bar were all very friendly and good craic. The only downside was the tour we booked through them, which I would definitely not recommend. The man at the hotel reception mentioned this snorkeling tour to us every day when we saw him and was a bit pushy about it. We did eventually agree to do it on our last day but the boat was way over capacity - more than 30 guests on a tiny boat without enough equipment. There were people who couldn't swim at all who had no life jacket even though that was included in the price. When we finished snorkeling they brought us to their friend's restaurant on Gili Air for over an hour which was not meant to be included in the trip. Avoid this and book in town yourself if you want to snorkel. …
We stayed for one night whilst in Gili t and it was perfect for us. A basic room but with everything we needed. The bar and restaurant attached serve great food and drink at really good prices. Would recommend.
Great staff, the resort manager looked after us very well and nothing was a problem, great location, cheapest Bintang on the Island 4-8 Happy Hours. Food offers every day as well as theme nights. We had a couple of nights in the standard room which whilst basic were clean and tidy. We then moved to the deluxe room which was fantastic and well worth the small extra cost. Would definitely stay here again.
There was leakage on the ceiling of the room I stayed first, but staffs helped me to change room as soon as notify them, they were so kind and friendly. Each room has lovely small garden and I liked it. Restaurant is very nice and cool. Especially night time, Live music and vibe. There are several options for breakfast and taste good. Gili is small so If you stay here more than a week, It's okay to have meal at here several times. And Important, water smelled a little bit But I'm not sure it's problem of all Gili island or resort.
After experiencing a different resort @ Gili T - I was happy to find the The Irish Pub. Good food and atmosphere. Rooms were clean and tidy with good facilities for the island. Breakfast was great and the live music at nights was great. Would certainly recommend.
Called in here for dinner while out bike riding. The fajitas were delicious with fresh lettuce, tomatoes & avocados on them. Tasty chicken, with yellow rice was great to, all served with sour cream. Cold Bintang & fresh juices also milkshakes as well. Staff friendly & helpful, a lovely spot right on the beachfront. Prices are approx $10 for main course. Food was served hot & quite fast. Recommend a visit here if staying on Gili Trawangan.
Was a bit nervous about rooms being noisy on arriving my daughter booked and didn’t realise we were staying at the Irish Bar. It was great noise didn’t travel. Rooms were lovely, great air conditioning. Partial Outside bathroom which was ok. Great spot only 6/7 mins walk from port. We wouldn’t get pony n trap so ideally situated. Breakfast was good too. Laundry service wasn’t good, clothes came back damp and smelly, Apart from that it was a great stay
We had 2 awesome nights in Tir Na Nog, the staff is so friendly and nice. The room was clean and the ac felt so good. The breakfast is also very good, the fresh watermelon juice is just delicious as the rest. We really thank the staff. Hope to come back one day Pedro and Catarina !!
The staff really friendly, It’s was my first time stay in here, the room spacious and clean. They have swimming pool, bar and restaurant. At the night they have live music and party after mid night. This room included breakfast. No need to worry if you want to find another local food around central gili trawangan, they have a lot of restaurants and street food. My suggestion if you buy some sea food in Central Night Market, you must find the cheap one, some of them will give you expensive price.
