I stayed here just before the start of the COVID outbreak as on overnight trip from Seminyak to see the Gili Islands. As no vechicles on this island we travelled to the hotel by horse and cart which was a lovely scenic journey along the coast and the strip. It was one of the hotels furthest away and about 20-30 mins walk away from the strip which we found difficult when coming back late at night a little drunk when the horses had stopped running. Check-in was quick & easy in a large building with open sides and our bags were taken to our room which was set like streets of individual bungalows. Outside each room was sunloungers with a coffee table. A big ornate wooden door led to the spacious room that had a King size bed with bedside tables with squared shelving and lamps on either side. There was also a built in wardrobe with slippers & a safe in, 2 armchairs with a coffee table, a flat-screen TV on a cupboard with side shelving, a desk with chair that had water and tea/coffee facility on top and a fridge at the side, 1 large mirror, 1 small circular mirror and a free-standing lamp The Bathroom was ouside like all the bathrooms in Bali I came across. There was a single sink with a cupboard underneath and a mirror above with square unit shelves either side. Opposite was another squared unit and behind it was the shower. There was a massive swimming pool with 2 small pools and a jacuzzi, loads of sunloungers with parasols and a bar at the end that made great cocktails and provided beach towels. Behind the bar was the restaurant and at the other end of the pools was an outdoor seating area The beach is across the road and also has lots of sunloungers, parasols, a couple of swings in the sea which was great to watch the sunset from and take photos. They also had an big screen cinema on the beach. The restaurant was massive with ground, upper level and outside section with lots of seating areas of tables for up to 6 people. Breakfast was served in buffet style with cereals, cold and hot foods available.…
Everything is perfect .... I love the atmosphere, and the people... But you should give more concern to the food, cause this hotel are to far from everywhere... Overall this hotel is good 👍👍 The staff is friendly and helpfull,i like the way they treat us as friends
The Gili Islands are a must for anyone visiting Indonesia. It's a great getaway from all the noise and pollution of cities. The room I had at this hotel was very good, even though I felt that the price was more that it deserved. I liked the outdoor bath, the restaurant, the pool and the beach across the road from the hotel ... I spent a very nice time watching sunset o my first day there. As with many hotels on the island, bikes are available for rent @50K Rupiah/day
We enjoyed our stay at Ombak Sunset for our honeymoon. The room was clean but the outdoor toilets can welcome strange creatures (however the staff are helpful in getting rid of these!) The food and drinks were great and can be enjoyed on a great spot on the beach.
Very beautiful, very good room and good spa services. Bad WiFi (most of the times it doesn’t work), bad organisation for lunch and dinner. If we were to visit GiliT again we would try another hotel.kr
