At very short notice we booked a weekend in Shack 58. On the beach, an overly generous gazebo in which to read, eat and doze. Snorkelling off the beach to see schoools of colourful fish and turtle. And the food - the best food a couple of vegans had in all of Lombok. Nirah and the staff were attentive and...

We stayed in Shack 59, which is located about 50m from the beach. It was much more private having our sleeping villa being off the main walking track, and we had use of the day hut which overlooks the beach which was perfect for day lounging and relaxing. We had a breakfast served here each day by the wonderful staff....

This place...this place is so beautiful. My girlfriend and I stayed here at the tail end of a month in Indonesia, and how happy we were that we did! We actually planned our trip around Shack 58, as it fills up quickly, especially in July. We found 5 nights that were available, booked them, and then planned the rest of...

We were staying in the bamboo house, but bamboo palace is a better name! We stayed here for a couple of days during a month long trip, for my girlfriends birthday and it was really heaven! The staff was really sweet and ready to help for anything - even giving good tips against jelly fish bites. The cook is really...

This was the highlight of our honeymoon! Had the best time and would have liked to stay for longer. Shack 58 was gorgeous and Callie and her team were wonderful. It was relaxing and romantic and we did not want to leave. Snorkelling right off the beach in front of the Shack was amazing! Looking forward to celebrating our anniversary...

Only had a couple of days here staying in March but wish it had been longer. Already planning to go back. It was a good time of year to go. Weather decent - some rain - but the island was very quiet. The cottage was great with one of the most comfortable beds we have slept in and was enormous....

Unreal. This place fronts straight onto Turtle Point. Amble out a few mins on the shallow reef and your bound to see Hawkesbill turtles. Boats from the other islands come in the afternoon to do the same, so you know it's a winner. What else? Real helpful staff, sea breeze so no mosquitos, totally relaxed, and a billion stars above...

Indeed is a front house beach just for you. Coral reef is few strokes from house! Discreet. Very clean. Good taste. Excellent service. Perfect place to escape some days from Bali. Definitely best place by far to stay in Gillis.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
ALL BOOKINGS VIA REQUEST WE DO NOT USE BOOKING OR AGODA Escape to 2 simple getaway cottages on NE side of Gili Meno Island. These cottages are deliberately simple in design so one can relax and disengage from the stresses of modern life. This place was built with the idea of relaxing in a simple environment but with a few luxuries. If you are wanting "lights camera action" type holiday this is not for you. We rely on the island generator for power and embrace the simple life - if you going to get upset if the power goes out or water isn't delivered timeously due to bad weather or low tides over reef a remote island with no infrastructure is definitely not your gig. If you need a little simplicity and a pure island experience you will enjoy visiting us. Shack58 is situated on a beachfront property and Shack59 is on a separate property about 100m from the beach, but it does have its own large daytime gazebo with bed and table and chairs and private bathroom where guests are invited to relax and enjoy the view. All meals are served on the beach gazebos. ... more   less

“Both shacks have a gazebo facing the beach, 58s being a bit bigger and having more furniture. 58 has its bedroom and bathroom close behind its gazebo, 59s bedroom is a bit further down the back. The Shacks are about a pleasant 15 min walk to the main beach.”
