Hmm.. where to start. Not one to leave reviews but want to save those travelling alone or spending hard earned cash. We’d read some lovely reviews before our stay and we’re excited for our first holiday since the pandemic but to say disappointed would an understatement. Firstly, we’d paid for a ‘deluxe superior apartment’ which we assumed would be much like the very modern images on the website…. we were wrong. The room was extremely dated and here’s my warning to you, the beds are awful. I can pretty much sleep anywhere but even I struggled to sleep on these beds let alone my mum who suffers with a bad hip. The shower/ bathroom was also the size of cupboard not what you’d expect of a ‘superior apartment’… disappointing. Secondly, the hotel breakfast is … mediocre and for 10€ pp not worth it at all. Thirdly, I just want to give a heads up to solo female travellers - yes it’s a short walk to the beach but by nightfall the road to and from restaurants/beach is very quiet and in places very dark - as two women alone we often felt uncomfortable walking down there alone and would rush to get back to the hotel before total sunset. Consider renting a bike or buggy as it’s just not nice to walk down there in that darkness. Finally, ensure you have big repellent the mosquitos are dreadful and you will be bitten to within an inch of your life - trust me. Overall it was an okay stay, nice if you want to stay at the hotel all day/night and want to totally relax not so much if you want to explore.…
Just returned from a 2 week stay ,we really enjoyed it The family and staff who run the place are lovely they can't do enough for you. They feel like family by the time you leave. Great pool area always can get a bed, lovely bar area and room was lovely we had a junior suite which comes with everything free .free towels for pool ,change them whenever you want. Food and drinks served from bar area also breakfast if you booked this is served here too. A very relaxing place would highly recommend .we will be returning
Returned a short time ago from a fabulous week at the Bruskos Hotel and I would highly recommend it. The hotel has a very friendly vibe which I would put down to the delightful family who own and run it and their staff who could not do enough for us whilst we were there. The bar is excellent, the local white and rose wines are exceptional and great vfm. The pool and pool area were clean and well maintained with plenty of beds and umbrellas with no holidaymakers "reserving" their beds which was good to see. Our room had been redecorated to a good spec and was clean and comfortable. Definitely worthy of an extra star.
We both knew within minutes of arriving at Bruskos that we had chosen the perfect holiday. It took us weeks to decide on our preferred accommodation, but our gut feeling kept us coming back to Bruskos! - and we were not disappointed one little bit. We arrived early in the afternoon to be greeted by the lovely Kostas, who served us a nice prosecco by the pool, and then he kindly took our cases to our room. Our Junior suite room was amazing with a massive double bed, with a nice size bathroom with fantastic shower. The balcony overlooked the pool and bar, and was especially pretty at night with colourful lights. Breakfast selection every morning was great, with a choice of hot or cold or both. We had lunch at Bruskos a few times, and it was always delicious. Ireni is a wonderful host, as is Angelo and Kostas, and they are genuinely lovely people who want your holiday to be the best ever. We dined out every evening by the sea, with Kafesas and Malibu our favourites. On our last evening, we dined in the garden of Malibu Taverna, then went for a walk along the coast. On the way back we sat down on a bench near Malibu to enjoy the sun set, when soon after the manager lady from Malibu came along with two glasses of white wine...A lovely gesture we thought! We had a day trip to Corfu town which was very enjoyable, and on another day we went to Albania which was amazing.…
Personally, I find it very rare these days that your hopes and expectations are met, let alone exceeded, but ccb Bruskos definitely did. I am very well travelled, but can honestly say this was the best holiday that I have ever had. This small family run hotel is just fantastic. All areas are immaculately clean and well maintained. But what makes this hotel such an amazing holiday destination is the family who run it. Ireni, Harris, Kostas, and Angelo behind the bar, are just so lovely, welcoming and helpful, they simply cannot do enough for you. There is a calm, tranquil atmosphere around the hotel and pool, very peaceful and relaxing, and you immediately feel relaxed and chilled out. It was such a lovely surprise not to have to get up at the crack of dawn for sun loungers or have to endure pumping music on repeat around the pool, was just perfect. Our fellow guests were also all lovely and we all made friends. Plenty provided for the breakfast buffet. Lunch time again Bruskos exceles! We had lunch there everyday, trying most items on the varied menu. All fresh, home cooked, just excellent, especially the Moussaka, courgette balls, but it was all fabulous! Angelo is an excellent barman, making the best cocktails, his Strawberry Daiquiris were our favorite! He was also great with the kids, making Mocktails and Milkshakes, icecreams etc. We were a family of 10, ages ranging from 11 to 86, and were all made to feel so welcome all the time and they just couldn't do enough for us. We all loved our stay and didn't want to leave, and can't wait to return next year. If you can, book a deluxe or if budget will allow a junior suite, they are very modern, clean and very spacious and a massive difference from the traditional standard rooms, and apartments (apartments are on the 2nd floor). Immaculate rooms and bathrooms, fantastic shower and pressure, everything was pristine. I would recommend this hotel to all those looking for a genuine welcome, and looking for a relaxing holiday. Roughly 10 min slow stroll to the beach and nearby tavernas, can highly recommend the nearest Kafessas Taverna just superb and the best evening meal by far we had! Lovely sandy beach with sun loungers and umbrellas for hire 6 euros for the day. Highly recommend.…
We had the best time at Bruskos! Run by a lovely family in a quiet beautiful location. Met lots of lovely people by the pool which was a good size and neither too busy nor too quiet and the bar, drinks and food were fab. We had the basic room for a bargain price, everything we needed such as fridge, kettle and hairdryer. Dated furniture but very clean and tasteful. The only negative was the shower was a little cramped but the water pressure was good and hot. Everything was more than we could wish for the price I paid. AC was extra €6 a day for the basic room but fair enough as the room was so cheap, Restaurants, beach and bars nearby. Would definitely return!!!
Met on arrival by Kostas & Ireni with a warm welcome, a cold bottle of water and a glass of fizz. Whilst booking Kostas took our cases to our room. Booked via Jet2, we were upgraded to a junior suite - air con, beach towels, slippers, 2 bottles of wine (red & white) and large bottle of water. Large corner room with wrap around balcony. Quiet location within short walk to beach and taverna’s. Choice of cooked & cold breakfast with variety of teas, coffee, water and glass of Fizz. Plenty of sun beds, no need to reserve beds. Our towels were changed on request. Ireni, Kostas and Angelo all have good English and are very helpful sharing their local knowledge, booking trips etc. The food at the pool bar is excellent, shame they serve after 6pm. Drinks a bit expensive. Local sandy beaches within walking distance safe for children as remain shallow for a good distance. If you’re looking for a lovely hotel and pool in a quiet area with exceptional welcoming hosts this is the place to stay.…
Stayed at Bruskos Hotel for seven days and Ireni, her husband and son really looked after us. My standard room was a good size with a balcony and maid service available every day (except Sundays) if required. Lovely clean pool and we opted for the breakfast which offered a great variety from the full English to Greek yogurt and fresh fruit, so vegetarians and vegans catered for. Ireni makes a fantastic cocktail and the bar is well stocked with a wide range of wines, beer and spirits. The restaurant is also very good and plenty of ice-cream flavours to keep the kids happy. My only criticisms are, no written information available on day trip excursions or car/bike hire so everything is booked through the hotel. There are a couple of operators located in Agios Georgios South (Easybook is one) and plenty of car/hire places too. Quad bike hire seems very popular. The other being my aircon unit was very noisy and a bit hit and miss. This is probably not the case for other rooms so don't be put off. We would definitely go back and book directly with the hotel, airline and airport transfer service as cheaper. Recommend restaurant 10 mins from the hotel called Kafesas Taverna. We went there most nights and seafood is good. Avoid the Malibu Taverna ! Owner was being very unpleasant to a new young Albanian waiter and made him and us feel uncomfortable. Food not great, king prawns too mushy in texture so not fresh. Apparently, Panorama restaurant is very good and was recommended by a few hotel guests.…
Can not fault Bruskos hotel at all. From the initial greeting from Irene to the hugs goodbye it has been a wonderful week. We had standard rooms which are basic but clean and the beds are comfortable. The pool is great and perfect for kids and older ones to cool off in or laze around on sunbeds & with Irene's killer cocktails it's perfect at night too! I recommend Kafessas taverna, a few minutes walk as some of the best Greek food I've eaten. It's a place to linger in & enjoy the food & service. We would definitely return to Bruskos hotel.
On arrival we were met by the son who took our bags to our room amd showed us to a table at the pool bar and gave us a cold drink He then showed us to our room Which was a standard room booked through easy jet ( no option to upgrade on easy jet ) Room yes was basic but clean and serviceable, as travelling with a friend separate beds were ideal , room had a little fridge and kettle Clean towels every other day Pool area immaculate and bar and food lovely A short walk to the beach We preferred XL bar for beach as waiter service from 10am till 5 pm no charge for sunbeds A few lovely places to eat in 5 min walk Main stretch I’d say 25 min walk with lots more restaurants Ireni amd her husband are so friendly and Organised a taxi for us to go to a Greek night Air con isn’t included if you go independent or like us easy jet package Think it is with jet 2 But at 6 euros a night was worth it Would I return YES most definitely as it’s the most friendliest hotel I’ve ever stayed Such a lovely family hotel with lovely staff x…
