Sandy Beach Resort's enviable location near the beach and local amenities is often celebrated by guests, despite some noting its remoteness from other attractions. While the resort's lively atmosphere and array of amenities, including diverse dining and entertainment options, are appreciated, concerns regarding outdated and poorly maintained rooms cast a shadow on the overall experience.
The resort's service is generally commended for its friendliness, though inconsistencies in room maintenance and staff attitudes have been flagged. Furthermore, several travelers are unhappy with the noise levels and question the value for money, citing additional taxes and fees.

Detailed Reviews
Just back from Corfu, Labranda Sandy Beach. Didn't want to leave, that says it all, doesn't it. Most beautiful sea we have ever been to. Clear, clean, calm, warm, gentle 😊. I was told that it was the only sandy, and relatively shallow beach in Corfu. This was our first trip, but we will certainly be back. Sea is absolutely stunning! Cannot even compare it to Mediterranean or Adriatic seas.
Hotel is lovely, huge thank you to Mary, guest relations, she helped us to get the best room with a spectacular views over the bay. When booking, it is worth to pay a little extra for a premium class room, if it matters to you. Rooms are spacious, but generally needs updating.
Gardens are lovely and three swimming pools, one with slides, really did it for my 11 yo son 😊.
Food was OK, we didn't go hungry. I would recommend to venture out into the local village for delicacies. We went to Kafesas, local Greek restaurant, for local cuisine. Local wine, fresh fish and colourful decor, with gorgeous views over the sea. We didn't know, but you can get there by little train that departs from the resort. We went by taxi, and were offered a lift back by the manager of the restaurant, as it was too hot to walk back. Aris, thank you for the lift to the resort 🙏.
We also went on a boat trip to Paxos and Antipaxos. Wow! That was a totally worthwhile trip. I do love sea, and this one is breathtaking. On the trip, we saw caves and swam in amazingly turquoise waters in one of the lagoons. There was a stop in Paxos for lunch, we haven't seen much of the little port city, but what we saw was a gorgeous unique pretty little town, with lots of local cats and no cars on the tiny streets. We had lovely lunch in the fish restaurant with an old olive tree full of crickets, making noise. Food was very, very good, unfortunately, can't remember the name of the restaurant.
Now the cons. As I mentioned already, rooms need a little face lift; beach towels can be exchanged once every four days 😳; I am not a big fan of all inclusive, and could happily pay for good quality drinks, but there is no such option in the restaurant, everyone drinks cheap tap wine. There is an option to buy cocktails at the beach bar, but they serve it in a plastic cup, which doesn't live up to expectations.
Another point, not really related to the resort. This beautiful part of Corfu is not really developed as well as some northern areas of Corfu.

There are many mixed reviews about this hotel and I guess you’ll love it or not like it as much based on how much you paid and if you had a refurbed room
We had a 1 bed family room refurbed room 1346 which was massive and very clean and new.
Pros
The restaurant has lots of food and food choices, staff serving the food actually speeded up the whole buffet experience. The beach is so nice, sandy and clear waters. The swimming pools are great 0.9m at the shallow ends and 1.5 at the deepest. Around 1m were the slides come out. Towels can be collected by the slide pool.
Alcohol Drinks are very strong and not watered down.
Con
There are many wasps, mossies, and sun beds are all taken by 8pm. There isn’t much food choice that many kids would like, looked like that was due to Covid as they had a closed off kids station. There wasn’t any evening entertainment to really speak of. This place is a 3 star.
Alcohol Drinks are very strong and not watered down. 🤣
Tip
Italian restaurant is amazing, Greek too(I didn’t manage to book it though!). Book on the day you get there or next day go though the main doors of buffet restaurant and out the back between 1030 and 12, and there are people waiting to book you in. Bring a pen if you have one.

I am writing this from the poolside. This hotel is fantastic!
The whole place is just simply stunning. We have an upstairs room by one of the three pools.
The room is huge and has a large balcony. The bed is also huge, firm but perfect for sleeping. The bathroom is clean and has a good shower and hair dryer. You also get soap and shower gel in the bathroom.
The hotel beach is beautiful and very handy for one of the hotel bars.
The tours in the hotel reception area are aimed towards the german and Dutch speaking guests, this is not an issue as a small walk along the beach front and you come to multiple tour operators and day trips in many languages and very good prices.
The food is fresh and very nice. The covid measures in place are easy to understand and staff are on hand to make sure people follow these instructions. You must sanitize hands before going into food areas and the hotel offers masks if you would like to sit inside.
You need to wear a mask in shops so wise to keep one in your bag.
This is one of the nicest resorts I have ever stayed at.
The hygiene here is spot on and the resort promotes social distancing. The staff are cleaning tables after every use and all wearing PPE.
On the beach there are many watersports activities which you can try. One of the offers is for £60 you can try every activity on offer.
We do not have kids but as far as I see the kids have a great time at mini club and the mini disco at night is very popular. When this is on you can still fine quieter areas to relax near the on site supermarket.
Already looking to rebook again!

The hotel has a perfect location with a private beach, however the complex is enormous and was fully booked despite COVID. The installations are worn out - toilet in my room was leaking, the safe in the room still uses a key, the mirror was completely rusty and the curtains falling down. I stayed in the hotel for six nights and my towels were never changed, nor there were any instructions on how to get them changed. Beach/swimming pool towels can only be exchanged every four days. The hotel is composed by several buildings with two or three floors served by old elevators. I had the unfortunate experience to be locked in one of the elevators for 15 minutes. I decided to shorten my stay in one night, and when I informed the reception, nobody even bothered to ask why, specially considering my stay was fully paid. The Greek a la carte restaurant offers good food (you can use it once) and the buffet restaurant is pretty standard. Good entertainment for kids and a nice spa (seems to be operated by a third-party).

The resort is huge, rooms are extremely dated and smell bad like drains, the internet is non existent. The hotel staff are friendly there’s never any sun beds even at 9 am they all have towels on some of which people do not use all day! The pools weren’t cleaned every day there was a lot of sand in the bottoms! The hotel staff are good and are friendly there’s no social distancing in the restaurant people literally walk straight into you no one pays any attention to the markers on the floor also outside there’s no social distancing either and again people just walk straight at you and brush past you a lot of people don’t know how to respect others and just walk straight to the bar even though other people are patiently waiting the food is ok but could be a lot better the restaurants aren’t worth booking. Kids round the pool go round squirting poor people with water pistols and the parents don’t even care this is a daily thing and happened to a lot of poor people trying to relax on their holiday this is more like a 2/3 star hotel definitely not 4 stars we did have a pleasant time but would not book to come here again.

Huge hotel with nothing going on! Bedroom is basic to say the least, WiFi and tv in bedroom don’t work the tv wires are hanging everywhere, cobwebs all over the air con, bathroom stinks of drains everytime you flush the toilet, shower is dated and rusty, mattress’ are the most uncomfortable thing ever (I know they’re not great abroad) but these are something else! I heard at least 4 people at reception complaining and asking to move rooms. The cleaners didn’t come in for 2 days so we had no clean towels, when we asked them they did then come everyday and gave it a quick clean if that’s what you want to call it, bedding made and clean towels given and 2 bottles of water which I was surprised by. The food isn’t great it’s more or less the same everyday. We did not get the use out of all inclusive at all. Wouldn’t recommend it if you have children as theirs no kids section. The staff in the restaurant shove so much food on your plate so don’t be shy to say how much! No one in the restaurant had masks on, there was no social distancing, no queues to get food everyone was just wandering everywhere! When it’s supposed to be taking extra precautions!!! DO NOT come to this hotel if you are scared of wasps! There’s hundreds of them everywhere you go.... you cannot sit by the pool without 47373 wasps all over you, you cannot get a drink as they like the sugar!! Yes there’s wasps everywhere in Greece at this time of the year but not to this extent. We tried the nearby beach and they was everywhere also. It really ruined our holiday. How can you sit still when you’ve got wasps in your face 24/7. We came to this holiday as a last result as turkey got cancelled in short notice and we just wanted to get away! We wish we never bothered! We asked to extend our room for 5 hours on the last day and they had the cheek to ask for €50. Will NOT be coming back here.

My husband and I booked Labranda resort along with our son and his family. An all-inclusive holiday is not usually our first choice of accommodation but we were very pleasantly surprised.
Arriving late evening we were welcomed by a cheery gentleman who soon had us booked in and settled in our room. There was sandwiches offered and we were able to get hot or cold drinks from the bar.
Our room was clean and comfortable with fresh towels delivered each day. The shower, so different than the usual showers in other Greek accommodation we have stayed in, was perfect in both heat and power.
Now onto what I was dreading - dining! What can I say, the dinning room was wonderful. How the staff worked was remarkable, from the girls who welcomed people with hand gel and masks to the ones who cleared away dirty crockery and cleaned the tables. Definately covid friendly! There was plenty of food to chose from at each meal time and it was presented beautifully. Although a self service dining are, staff presented food to guests so no one touched food or utentials.
Pools were clean but, being October, the water was a little cool. Obviously not something the staff could change.
Being near the sea was a bonus and we enjoyed the stroll along the coast when we needed a break from sun bathing.
All in all a very good holiday Thank you to the hard working staff at Labranda

Let me start off with this. The hotel is lovely and clean. The majority of staff are lovely and friendly. Even in the midst of COVID19, the all work very hard. Especially the cleaners and the restaurant staff. Okay the hotel could do with some upgrade work.
The rooms are big with a large bathroom, they are cleaned daily, however the showers could do with having new showers installed. There is notices in the bathroom, not to flush paper down the toilet and a bin is provided to put toilet paper in. I don't really like the idea of used toilet paper being in the bathroom over night. Maybe the installation of bidets would be a better idea.
I was originally going to mention how uncomfortable the beds where. However on the third day a mattress topper was added, this resolved this issue. They should be put on prior to guests arriving.
We requested that tea and coffee facilties for the room, despite being told they would be provided upon request, the male receptionist started shouting that this information was incorrect, he kept shouting when I said I would speak to Jet2. Another guest who had tea and coffee in their room mentioned this to the receptionist and again he started shouting. So much so 2 female receptionist took him in the office. When the matter was reported in the morning to Mary at guest relations. We were informed that we were correct and the facilities were in the room that day.
There is plenty of choice of food, okay it is not English food. If you want English food, stay in England. Due to COVID, the food is served at the hotplates rather than help yourself. However, a lot of people don't seem to understand social distancing. Jumping the queues and walking in front of you. Yes a lot of them not British, the German and French guests are ignorant and rude.
Pools and beach. There are notices stating that sunbeds should not be reserved. You see guests heading down at 0600 even though the pools don't open until 1000. There are even those who reserve sunbeds at both the pool and beach. Unfortunately some of them are British.
Would we go to this hotel again. Yes however we would request a room that has been renovated.

We were pleasantly surprised with this resort. Wasn't our first choice and we wouldnt usually choose all inclusive but another holiday was cancelled and we transferred via our Easy Jet package to this one. It was perfect for our needs, a family of 4 with teenagers. We had adjoining rooms so i went with daughter and husband and son shared a room. Would have preferred twin beds ideally but the beds were large although a little on the hard side. Rooms were spacious and cool, and air con wasnt always needed. The restaurant was so well organised, so much choice and everything was tasty and well prepared. Staff so attentive, polite and worked incredibly hard in the restaurant. Although a buffet, the staff dished up for us, we couldn't so much as pick up a bread roll, so this was a hygienic way to do things at the moment. Tables and chairs were sprayed and wiped down before being used again. 3 pools, we chose the one closer to the sea without the water slides and then we would go to the beach every evening from about 5-7pm when quieter, cooler and sun going down on the water. Plenty of water sports to choose. Beach is very clean and well maintained, as is the pool areas. Bars well managed. Toilets by beach could do with a spruce up but always plenty of soap and good hand dryers. Easy to keep distance. The best thing is the sea location and the sun sets. The Greek restaurant on site was great too with the views and the food selelction. We hardly spent any extra money, but there were trips if you wanted to venture further afield or could hire car by the day. I did the dance fitness classes at 4.30 every day which were inclusive and well organised with upbeat choice of music and well prepared instructors (it is my day job so I am critical!) and they did extremely well. I think it was good value because there is so much choice with the meals and scope with timings and sitting inside, outside, shade, sun, etc. We felt lucky to get away at this time with so many trips cancelled and the uncertainty and we were grateful that the staff and management seemed to be taking extra care with safety measures whilst ensuring the everyone had a good time. Great also for kids with the mini disco etc every day.

After reading some reviews I was a bit apprehensive of our stay. However we were very impressed with the resort overall.
On arrival they asked us if we wanted to upgrade to two sea view rooms for free but as we were travelling with two 11 year olds we kept the room we booked. We had a two bedroom room with an extra bed in the entrance area. There was so much space and so many places to hang your clothes. The room was cleaned daily and towels replaced periodically.
The pools were excellent. We went to the one nearest the beach. To get a sunbed, although the rules say you can’t reserve, you need to have your towels down by 8am. I imagine this will ease after the kids go back to school.
The main buffet was fantastic. The food was fresh and plentiful and served to you. The quality was excellent and so much choice even for the fussiest eaters. We didn’t try the al la carte restaurants as we were so happy with the buffet. The opening hours were so vast it never seemed that busy. The servers don’t scrimp on the portions they give you so be prepared to say less or more.
We were told by TUI that there would be no entertainment but there was a mini disco every night and a great band or a singer on a few occasions. Get down to the bar area by the beach by 9pm to get a seat as soon as the mini disco finishes, everyone heads there.
All the staff were amazing and super friendly considering the conditions and heat.
Ok so your drinks are in a plastic cup in the evening and we even packed our own cups just in case, but they are a good size and the drinks are strong! For all your meals, you queue up and get your drinks in a proper glass and this is well organised but can be busy.
I would certainly recommend this place and there are some lovely bars and restaurants if you turn left by the beach.
