Sandy Beach Resort offers a lively, family-friendly atmosphere with its clean beaches and range of pools, highly regarded by guests. However, opinions on service vary, with some praising the staff's friendliness while others point out professionalism lapses. Travelers appreciate the resort's location but note it can feel isolated for those seeking nightlife. Room conditions and noise levels are frequently criticized, and guests have called out additional fees, suggesting the value proposition may be overstated. Despite this, the resort's overall cleanliness receives compliments, although room maintenance does call for attention.

The hotel is the best choice when it comes to Corfu :)
The rooms are clean, well-kept, garbage bags and towels are changed every day, and drinking cups are provided :) the air conditioning works well :) water is provided once per stay in the room - a large bottle, but there is plenty of drinking water throughout the hotel so it's not a problem, just in case there is a well-stocked grocery store on the hotel premises or 200 m from the hotel there is a small village with a supermarket where you can buy water for little money.
The staff is very nice, polite, smiling and helpful at every step :) Mrs. Artemis deserves special recognition, who is responsible for the service and contact with guests - an angel :) you could talk to her about everything, always smiling, helpful, nice :) she is simply the diamond of this hotel - the right person in the right place :)
As for the pools - well-kept, there was never a shortage of sunbeds at each of the 3 pools, but as for the beach, it was a matter of an hour - sometimes there were more people, sometimes fewer.
The sea is wonderful, the color of the water is beautiful, there are lots of fish, the beach is well-kept and clean, you can swim without water shoes.
In the bars there is a large selection of drinks in the all inclusive offer - the drinks are very tasty, the bartenders are nice and smiling. Drinks in the bars are for tokens - I think it is a great thing because there is order and not that the cups are scattered.
Delicious food, always warm, a large selection of fruit, bread, vegetables, desserts, cakes, meats and additions, a large selection to drink, various juices, teas, coffees, hot chocolate, beer, red, white and rose wine, ice cream for every lunch and dinner (served in the main restaurant) - different flavors: nut, chocolate, banana, vanilla, etc. + various sauces for ice cream and additions such as nuts, almonds and other sprinkles.
There was always a place to eat in the dining room - both inside and outside (on the terrace).
In the all-inclusive hotel there are two a la carte restaurants - Greek and Italian; we definitely preferred the Italian restaurant because of what we like, but the Greek one is also very good.
Overall, we are very happy with our stay at Sandy Beach, we will definitely come back here more than once, we truly recommend it!

My family and I have just recently returned from the sandy beach resort ,

All four of us adults and two kids loved our stay in the hotel , the resort is really big and very similar to the big hotels in turkey,

The kids have a wonderful time in the pool with the slides ,they spent most of each day in there (ages 9 and 3)

The beach is absolutely stunning with fair priced water sports available right as you enter,

Both of our rooms got cleaned and beds made every day (4010 and 4012) we where very happy with the cleanliness of our rooms and felt the ladies do a great job of the rooms and around the hotel ,

The token for a drink system is a great idea to stop lazy people leaving drinks at their arse and really worked well,

We had no problems exchanging our towels for the beach every second day although we also brought our own with us as surely any normal person would ?

The games room was great for the kids and we spent a little time there to get a break from the sun,

The only problem if I’m honest has to be that there are not many options for kids to eat in the main buffet area ,there should be things like chicken nuggets in there , we asked about that and the chef actually kindly put chicken nuggets out that night which I saw on every kids plate

A suggestion would be to add more staff to the pool bar at the slides ,it’s by far the busiest bar and ridiculous to have only one man there dealing with a bar and towels ,

The snack bar at the slides is really good and the ladies there don’t a great job and also like all the staff we encountered are really friendly and helpful,we loved them

It also I must say wouldn’t go a miss for people to drop a euro or two into the tips for the staff and the bars or restaurants now and then ? They work so hard and in that heat ,it’s nice to be nice ?

We hope to return next year and make more memories ,

Till next time sandy beach 🤝

Dear Glasgowquad, Thank you so much for sharing your positive experience at Sandy Beach Resort! We're thrilled to hear that your family had such a wonderful time and that you found the resort to be a great fit for both adults and kids. It's fantastic to know that your children enjoyed the pool with the slides—it sounds like they had a blast! We’re also glad you appreciated the stunning beach and found the water sports to be fairly priced. Your compliments about the cleanliness of the rooms and the efforts of our housekeeping staff are much appreciated. We take great pride in maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for all our guests, and it’s wonderful to hear that their hard work didn’t go unnoticed. We're happy that the drink token system worked well for you and that you found the games room to be a nice break from the sun. It's also great to hear that you had a positive experience with the staff, especially at the snack bar by the slides. We'll certainly pass along your kind words to them—they’ll be thrilled to know they made a difference in your stay. Thank you for your feedback regarding the options available for children in the buffet. We’re glad that our chef was able to accommodate your request for chicken nuggets, and we’ll take your suggestion to heart as we continue to refine our menu options for our younger guests. We appreciate your suggestion to add more staff to the pool bar at the slides. It’s certainly one of our busiest areas, and we’ll look into how we can improve service there to better meet our guests' needs. Finally, your reminder about tipping is very thoughtful. Our staff work hard to ensure everyone has a great holiday, and we’re sure they appreciate any recognition from our guests. We’re delighted that you’re already thinking about returning next year, and we can’t wait to welcome you back for another memorable stay at Sandy Beach Resort. Until next time, safe travels and see you soon! Kind Regards, Zoe Guest Relations Agent

Its difficult to give a balanced view for Labranda but let me start with the positives, great location, great beach, great resort size & overall quite clean, now the down sides, after somebody defecated in one of the pools we were using the pool was put out of action & we presumed it would be clean the next day but no, people were allowed to use it the following morning and then told to get out and maybe consider a shower because it was still not cleaned ! Many parts of the resort are looking tired inside and out, the drinks are poor quality, the food is OK but needs to change more, the fridge in our room was tiny and sitting on the top was the kettle we had to pull out the plug for the fridge and plug the kettle into the same single socket, we were given towels for the pool that were ragged and torn, we booked for the Greek and Italian restaurants on site for a change of food, the Greek restaurant is in a great location but we all felt the staff were throwing the food at us in a rush and apart from the Greek salad the rest of the food was poor there was nine of us and none of us enjoyed the food, we tried the Italian restaurant the food was great but the service for drinks was poor & the place lacked ambience, there is a lack on entertainment above the level of school child the staff are trying their best but its not good enough just a singer or performer of some sort later in the evening would be great, the grass around the pools growing from between the flags is not being cut, the shower on offer was in the bath with a dated shower head and the bath was slippy.
This was our second time at Labranda and one of our biggest issues was the outdoor restaurant we loved & enjoyed last time was closed down so there was no choice other than the main restaurant.
I think many of the points I have raised here show how cost cutting can go to far and impact on the service & quality of what is on offer, come on guys get a grip !

Dear 527RonE, Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback about your recent stay at Labranda. It's clear that you experienced both positive and negative aspects of the resort, and we appreciate your candidness. We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed the location, beach, and overall cleanliness of the resort. However, we are deeply concerned about the issues you encountered, especially regarding the pool situation and the overall service and amenities. The incident with the pool is certainly troubling, and we understand how it could affect your experience. Hygiene and safety are paramount, and we apologize that these standards were not met during your stay. The maintenance and upkeep of the resort, as well as the quality of food and beverages, are areas we take seriously, and your feedback will be shared with the relevant teams to ensure improvements are made. We also acknowledge your concerns about the dining experience in our Greek and Italian restaurants, as well as the lack of variety in entertainment. It's disappointing to hear that these aspects did not meet your expectations, especially as a returning guest. Your comments about the facilities and overall service will be taken into account as we strive to enhance the guest experience. Thank you for bringing these issues to our attention. We hope that, despite the challenges you faced, you will consider giving us another opportunity in the future. We are committed to making necessary improvements and providing a better experience for all our guests. Kind Regards, Zoe Guest Relations Agent

We had a 2 bed family room and could not fault the space and location we were given. Some minor cosmetics to be done but definitely did not impact our stay.
We were located with a garden view and were able to see so much wildlife around us (lizards/toads/birds etc ).
The cleaners were amazing and our room was cleaned daily to a high standard with bottled water being replaced everyday.

What they fail to tell you until you check in is that you are expected to pay 10 euros per night tourist tax as they claim they are a 5 star resort which they definitely are not.

Staff behind the bars at the poolside locations were less than welcoming and at times rude and always looked unhappy to be there. However at the front desk and the bar down by the beach they were welcoming and more friendly.

The first week went well with the towel exchange area being open most of the day each day however the second week it was barely open to exchange your beach/swimming towels.

The food : snack bar was the same each day - slice of pizza, hot dog or pasta.
Main restaurant: food was overly repetitive at each meal time , the dinner being the worst. Could not fault the cold sections (salads/cheeses/cold meat) as there was such an array of food to choose however the hot food counters let it down massively. You could always find something to eat but it was the same each day and staying 11 days this does become a bit much!
The al carte Italian was lovely and the portion sizes were so big we couldn't finish each course (4 in total).

The pools were spacious and the kids loved the flumes , even when all the beds were taken, the pools still had plenty of space for swimming and were never crowded.

If interested in trips there are some good options just a short walk into the town that are cheaper then booking through the travel companies directly.

The resort was kept clean throughout the day and night.

All in all a great place for families with a great beach at your doorstep too, just don't expect too much from the food menu's.

Dear Sam, Thanks for reviewing our hotel! We are delighted to learn that you enjoyed your room and that you found it spacious and comfortable. We deeply regret any inconvenience caused by the miscommunication regarding the room tax. We understand the importance of transparency and want to clarify that although our hotel has been certified by the Greek National Tourism Organization as a 5-star property, we operate commercially as a 4-star establishment. We reflected this distinction in our pricing structure, ensuring that our guests receive fair and reasonable rates. We are very disappointed to read that you encountered issues with our staff. Providing excellent customer service is top priority for us, we deeply regret for any negative interaction you may had experienced. We are happy to hear that you found our salad selection great and enjoyed our Italian a la carte restaurant, however we are sorry that our food buffet did not meet up to your expectations. We have reported your comments to our Food & Beverage Manager, to ensure a better dining experience for our guests. It is wonderful to know that you enjoyed our pools, we are happy that your family loved them and found them spacious. Thank you for your valuable feedback, we continually do updates according to our guests suggestions and we truly value your comments. It was our pleasure to have you as our guest, we will be looking forward to welcoming you back, for another unforgettable trip with your family with us! Kind regards, Zoe, Social Media Administrator

Labranda Sandy Beach

We stayed at Sandy Beach early August as a family of three and I want to highlight what's good and give some tips.
It's definitely a hotel for kids! There's a small adults area at one pool and on the beach but I'd be pretty disappointed if I booked this before I had kids.

The hotel buildings are a bit tired and dated and there's an intermittant sewage smell from the drains.  The rooms need updating but the beds were clean, bjg and comfortable.
But if you overlook the buildings the experience and service you get is great.  The staff were wonderful and so friendly and helpful and they were working long hours in the heat.  The entertainment team never stop smiling!!  There's so much entertainment for families. Kids club, the waterslides, entertainmemt most of the day and minidisco every evening.  The main pools are great and the beach is clean with the clearest water so that you can see the fish.

The main buffet restaurant is overly busy and overwhelming (like all inclusives often are) and not a huge selection of food but what there was was good.  The two a la carte restaurants were brilliant, there's one Green and one Italian and the potions are huge. But you have to book and pre-order 3 days in advance and get one visit per restaurant per stay.  It's also only a short walk to some beach front eateries if you want a change.  We skipped breakfast and lunch each day and instead waited for 'snack corner' to open which was serving 1200-1700 each a range of wraps, hot dogs, slice of pizza, pastries and salads. It's outside by one pool so you can go up in your swimwear and it's a lot easier to do that with wet and sandy kids rather than trying to get dressed for the restaurant.

There's a token system for drinks which I didn't understand at first but it's actually a great way of keeping the hotel tidy.  You will each be given one drinks token on arrival for your first drink and after that you have to return your previous cup for your next drink.  It means there aren't cups piling up around sun loungers and there was no litter at all.

There's a landtrain that runs from the hotel into the town and bikes and scooters for hire (from €5)

The hotel is fairly accessible for prams and wheelchairs with wide paths, ramps to restaurant, wooden boarding on the beach and an accessible toilet by the main pool.

Hotel was great overall but wouldn’t say it is a 4 Star. Food choice was VERY repetitive, got boring first few days and same choices every day, however there is a Greek and Italian restaurant on site which needs to be pre-booked early to ensure you get a table the day you want! The main restaurant does have an option of indoor and outdoor seating which is amazing!
Entertainment team were upbeat and friendly, not too much in your face which was great.

Hotel staff were really kind and attentive.

The private beach attached to the hotel is stunning with its own sun-beds, the water is so incredibly clear and there is the option of water sports to hand for an extra price which i would definitely recommend to try as the experience is extravagant 😆 The hotel does offer a bike rental on site too, with very reasonable prices! There also are plenty of shops and a gaming area for kids 🙂

The room was cleaned basically every day, and we had no issues whatsoever! Cleaning ladies were lovely and greeted us whenever they saw us. We also received a big bottle of water each day as they came to clean the room, which was very helpful 💕

There is a choice of three swimming pools with one including 3 slides! Activities and entertainment team mainly are located at the main, biggest pool which is a pleasant environment to be as they do plenty of water games and activities and also play music for in the background which was fab 😊 I do have to say that we did notice the pools don’t get cleaned very well as sand remains on the bottom of the pools and never gets removed 🤷🏼‍♀️

Mid- week we did book ourselves a tourist boat (this can be booked nearby) which took us to several different islands around and the “Blue Lagoon” which was an amazing experience and looked absolutely stunning! During this, we got the chance to swim in the blue lagoon and even go to restaurant on one of the Islands called Sivota.

Overall, our experience was decent but we wouldn’t return here again as there was nothing that really amazed us. The location itself also creates a negative because if you like to go on evening walks like we do, then unfortunately this place is not so good for it as there is basically nowhere to really go! 🫠

I don’t usually write reviews, but had read some quite alarming reviews, which I believe were penned by people who either paid very little for their stay, or don’t travel much, so felt compelled to offer an opinion
The facilities at the resort are varied: adults pool, kids pool with flumes, beach bar pool and another just because it’s great to have options, not to mention the beach and accompanying loungers. Other posters have mentioned elements of the resort feel tired, I felt that is unfair as you can see items being visibly being updated (sun loungers replaced etc.). We stayed in room 5406, booked via Tui with a free kids place. The room has 3 proper beds, walk in shower, small fridge, aircon and balcony overlooking tropical gardens. The rooms are cleaned every day and housekeeping were super friendly and often cleaned our room whilst we were at breakfast.
Food at the resort is generally very good considering they are catering for thousands of people, the buffet offers an amazing choice of dishes, we have a fussy 7 year old and a vegetarian and both are well. There is an option to eat at two restaurants, Il Gusto, the Italian restaurant is very excellent and I would recommend getting bookings sorted, as it’s nice not to do the buffet everyday. We ran into a slight problem with reservations for Il Gusto, but Artemis, the head of guest relations came to our rescue and was able to arrange a booking for us, when we were told the restaurant was at capacity. THANK YOU ARTEMIS - you’re my hero.
Some posters have mentioned the drinks token system, although it can be tricky to remember to keep hold of your glasses, if you lose them - head to reception and they will give you replacement tokens, we weren’t asked any questions whatsoever. All in all a wonderful holiday, thank you Sandy Beach Hotel.

Very large complex but pleasant to live in despite not being French-speaking at all (plan to speak English everywhere). The swimming pools are clean and the water cold (period at the beginning of May), there are quite a few deckchairs around the swimming pools. The beach is accessible from the hotel with deckchairs. Large sandy beach with transparent but also cold water. Entertainment is limited and not at all in French.
The family rooms are large and the bedding in the 1st bedroom is very good but a small downside for the 2nd bed which is a convertible sofa. Box spring and very thin mattress. For a family room, it would be better to have 2 real bedrooms with good bedding.
The main restaurant is quite large although the noise inside is sometimes a bit loud. The breakfasts are great. The other meals are OK. The snack is mainly salty but there is a choice.
Not much to see in the south of the island, the tourist points are in the north and allow at least 1h30 drive by car and 45 min to go to Corfu town

On arrival our check in was very arduous as a few flights had arrived at the same time. We were tired as arrival at hotel was 12:30 am but the reception team were very thorough & welcoming explaining where everything was & what the procedure with drinks was (a blue token in exchange for a drink at the bar)
Pool towels were changed every two days on completion of a card which needs to be kept otherwise and a 10 euro per towel is made.
The hotel overall was clean & tidy but showing some signs of wear & tear in places. The setting in well tended gardens was picturesque with 4 pools & beach easily accessible.
The beach loungers always seemed to be full & very busy but that may have been due to not enough loungers around the pool?
If your towel wasn’t on the bed by 9 am there was little chance of getting one-even though signs displayed stated no reservation of beds was allowed!!!
The pools are roped off until 10am & were sometimes closed during the day due to “servicing” The life guards were on duty & enthusiastic in watching the safety of swimmers.
Moving on to the rooms, these were cleaned daily with a large bottle of water & safe deposit free of charge. The linen & towel quality varied but were clean & stain free. Toiletry items were also in the bathroom for guests use. The beds & pillows were quite firm.
The animation team always greeted us with a smile & “hello” . Generally all staff were friendly with a few exceptions.
Food now…There was plenty of choice on offer for all meal times although fairly bland. The specialty restaurants were very nice but be aware that portion size was very large. Waiters in these
restaurants were very friendly making the meal feel special.
It would have been nice to have had themed evening meals in the main restaurant maybe American, Spanish, Chinese maybe for a bit of variety.
We requested to have a late checkout & we’re told to confirm at 6pm the day before. Being 4th on the list we thought it’d ok as there were 6 of us to use the facilities however we were about to be disappointed …
We had to use the reception shower as our pickup wasn’t until 6:40pm. We were told there’d be towels available but there wasn’t . Between 6 of us we had to share 2 towels & the shower comes out as a dribble!
If you can get clean pool towels & keep them for shower use later.
Drinks were locally sourced spirits & beer and were drinkable although not the best. A recommendation is that there be water fountains available to top up water bottles during the day.
To sum up
We had a lovely 10 day family break with wall to wall sunshine, plenty to eat & loads to drink
Reading reviews before we came we were very apprehensive & considered choosing a different venue but we had a fantastic time. However I’d certainly recommend taking plenty of mosquito repellent as there loads around. And take an air freshener for the bathroom as they had a weird smell?
Thank you Lambranda Sandy Beach hotel !

The location of the resort is advantageous, featuring pristine beaches and satisfactory pools. However, the room furnishings are antiquated, exceeding two decades of age and exhibiting significant damage and visible rust. Numerous health and safety hazards are present throughout the property, necessitating improvements to ensure child safety.

The food and beverage offerings are rudimentary and do not meet the standards expected of a four-star resort. The prices for additional products and services within the resort premises significantly exceed those of local restaurants.

The environmental team demonstrated exceptional service, indicative of a newly established team, likely formed just a few weeks prior to the commencement of the season, as evidenced by the repetitive nature of their programs.
