I have been with my family in this hotel on May and is beast hotel in my life for this moment. Personal is lovely, rums is clean, nice food, big swimming pools, 🏊♀️ kids and adults can relax and enjoy the holidays. I will come back again. THANKS ALL LABRADA PERSONAL FOR GOD TIME.
Labranda Sandy Beach Resort is in Agios Georgios south - about an hour from Corfu Town or Aqualand by car/coach. We hired a car in advance of arrival from Marta Vav at Akvila Travel and this enabled us to get out and about as there is not a lot to see/do in Agios Georgios other than lovely Sandy beach, lots of water sports, looking in the half dozen supermarkets. The hotel has really tried hard to entertain people on site - there are bikes, little electric cars for tiny children, skateboards, scooters, even pushchairs for hire. There is a central area with shops (jewellery shop, soap shop, supermarket, clothes shop , reasonably priced hairdresser/beauty shop) and an amusement arcade. There are daily activities, a paid for train ride, and some funny little family bikes (15 Euros for a big one for an hour - cheaper the longer you have it and wish we’d done this earlier in the holiday as it was a good way to see the further reaches of the village). Spotlessly clean hotel, full of families from all over the world. Three large pools. We had a “garden room” which overlooked the mountains. Nice quiet location. Glad we weren’t near the amphitheater as that was a bit loud - but still all over by 11. This is a BIG hotel with 16 accommodation blocks, and they do a FANTASTIC job of providing almost back to back food and drink throughout the day. Food never seemed to be recycled, and Greek pastries were always fresh snd delicious. The food at Ammos snd Il Gusto we’re nothing special. We did get a bit bored, so tried a few meals out which was a nice change ( get a cab to Archontiko on the mountain for a good meal in a stunning location). I would have given this hotel 5 stars, but for their admin: Arrived at 1pm-ish and were told to leave cases and they would be taken to our rooms. Two hours later we are still wearing UK trousers and jumpers as the cases are in transit. Very grumpy. Rep was unsympathetic and said check-in all over the world is 3pm. So, pack your bikini in your hand luggage! Walked to room only to find we had to walk all the way back to reception to get a key for the safe (which is free). No information given as to restaurant opening times - we had to look on their website! No information given on how to get beach towels - at 10am you need to queue near the shops to get your towels. They run out quickly and there will be no more that day. Shame to end with some moans, as this was a really great hotel with extremely hard working staff. No information given as to pool opening times (10-7)…
Visited May 2022 We were given a room in the 2000 block which we found to be perfect and right in the middle of everything! Rooms were lovely and the garden view wasn’t as bad as we’d read in previous reviews. Food Food was a little to be desired. Breakfast was great, only grumble is they start packing stuff away around 10am even though times are stated it doesn’t stop till 11am so if you fancied a lie in, half of the breakfast wasn’t available by the time you got there. Snack bars were great, only advice I’d give is to have a small menu of what’s available daily as most days we had to ask what was on at the beach snack bar. Lunch and evening meal times were ok. There wasn’t alot on offer in our opinion. Staff work tirelessly but there was a lot of occasions we couldn’t find a clean table or had to find someone for knives/forks. Can’t comment on the Greek or Italian restaurants. Drinks Fab selection and staff worked really hard but the size of the queues on a night in the various bars were awful especially the beach bar. We had to wait a good 15/20 minutes some nights. Entertainment Firstly I will say the team were so friendly and welcoming but never pushy in getting involved. Kids liked the kids club and the mini disco. Entertainment during the day is lacking. Every morning was football tennis and aqua gym. Surely a team of 5/6 can come up with more activities so no 2 days are the same. Also there’s nothing on between 12-3. Pools We visited all the pools and can’t complain. They were a little cold but once you’re in you soon got used to it. Slides were great although closed between 1pm-3pm. All in all we had a great time and would definitely recommend this hotel to our friends and family despite the few grumbles. Hotel is ran amazingly for the size of the place. Just a few tweaks here and there and this place could be amazing. Thank you for a great stay.…
Still here. 10 day stay. No it’s not 5 star, nor is it near lots of things. However, food is some of the best we have had, different choices every day. Beach is very nice as are the pools. I do get a bit miffed by people who put towels on chairs and then aren’t there for several hours. No need for it there are plenty of chairs. Staff work very hard and are always warm and pleasant. If you want day trips Aqualand reopened and the trips to Paxos and blue lagoon great. There are loads of little trip places at the bottom of the hotel. Corfu is a bit of treck but there are buses for a couple of euros running twice a day. Stop is near the beach. There’s also restaurants and bars near the beach if you want a change. Hotel could do with an update but very clean, well maintained and comfortable. Can’t fault it for what we paid worth it!…
If you are after affordable place and noise or room privacy is not an issue for you then sure give this place a go, otherwise avoid. Great location with huge semi private beach with a lot of things to do in or outside the hotel
We stayed here for a week, and had a fantastic time. The food was great, loads of choice and variety. We really enjoyed both the Greek and the Italian speciality restaurants. There are also pool & beach bars open all day. The pools were clean with comfy loungers and plenty of sun umbrellas. Towels were provided for sunbathing, they just ask you to keep for two days before swapping, to save the environment, which we were more than happy with. Our room was light and airy, with a partial sea view. As a mum and daughter we were thrilled to see two double beds in our room, as we’d only expected two singles! Everywhere was kept very clean, and all the staff were friendly and helpful, especially Maria on reception. We had sunshine every day, and thoroughly enjoyed our holiday!
We had the most fantastic holiday at this resort, check in team were amazing and couldn’t do more to help the process run smoothly, which made our arrival less stressful. The rooms could do with a update, beds are not the comfiest and a bit lumpy but it didn’t ruin the holiday. The overall resort is very clean and kept very well and found all the staff pleasant snd helpful. Kids loved the pools even if they were a bit cold, the slides in particular were a huge hit! Beach is just fantastic A huge shout out to the entertainment team mainly the mini club ladies who were a huge hit with the children who never wanted to leave them alone, a memory the kids will cherish thank you!
3/5 On arrival we were greeted to 20+ suitcases outside reception waiting out the front and told to leave ours there too - no explanation as to why until checking in and being told to put the tag on our bags and the porters will take the bags to the room. That service was excellent - however we waited in our room for an hour to get our luggage wanting to get changed as it was very hot. Nevertheless, the porter was very helpful and obviously had a lot to manage on his own. The pools are lovely and the beach is beautiful - full of fish on the sea front, recommend getting some goggles and having a swim, it’s amazing. It would be better if the sun beds around the pools were all changed to the white wooden ones as they were more comfortable and not as easy to tip and fall. The food. Initially was impressed. However soon came to a realisation it was pretty much the same food every day. There was also an incident where in a piece of chocolate cake i found a broken piece of China IN THE CAKE which was off the same plate my 5 year old nephew was eating off of. Luckily I had the broken China in my mouth and wondered why I had a bone in the cake - before spitting it out and realising it was China. I showed the manager and another waiter and I had a short apology and it was left at that for the night. Dress code. Be aware when you go into the main eating area during the day - despite it being open, there is a dress code (although this is not clearly signed anywhere). I was made to feel so belittled and disgusted by a member of staff and told to cover up when going to get some lunch with my sister and nephew. I was wearing a long skirt and a bikini top. I went back and covered up. This would not have been an issue if I diddnt see many other women in bikinis, young children in bikinis wondering around too NOT being told the same. I am a larger lady and I was made to feel disgusting and embarrassed. It felt extremely fatphobic as the waiter walked over shaking his head at me. Safe to say the rest of the holiday I felt extremely conscious of my self and how I was being perceived. (My thoughts on this were further consolidated when I saw it happen to another lady of similar build, it appears that the restaurant has one rule fat people and another for others). Following this I went to my room and found a letter on my bed inviting me to guest relations and to attend and my soonest convenience - it felt like being sent to the principles office lol. Me and my sister met with a guest relations member. She did not ask our names. We explained what happened in the restaurant in finding something in our food, her first response was “well where is the picture?”. It felt that we were being accused of lying, despite me showing the staff in the restaurant and the manager AND them inviting me to talk to them lol. The conversation went back and forth and we were offered the following: - late check out (if available) which we accepted, this was helpful and we were provided one room late check out free of charge. - Room change (if available - as the rooms are very worn/dated/ not as perceived on the pictures online) I declined. - A further meal in one of the two on site restaurants - ( in which you have to que to book, we qued for an hour) I declined. - I asked for free drink vouchers as you have to pay for pina coloada, sex on the beach and mojitos and other beers. I obviously took these. Be weary of the dog that comes into the complex as well, especially around the children. Despite it looking very cute and wagging its tail, I thought it was loving and stroked it as it rolled over for me to stroke it, it went to suddenly aggressively bite me. Unfortunately the two main events and how things were handled, lack of availability for the children, the general poor attitude of a lot of the staff and the smell of the vast complex made the holiday not what it was expected to be. We did however love the entertainment staff, the bar staff and the evening entertainment and that the beach is so lovely. We would unfortunately not come back to Greece and this complex but definitely feel that a lot could be done with it here as it is in such a lovely spot and has such potential.…
Visited as a family/ friends group of 5 adults with 4 children beginning of may, firstly it's amazingly clean, the rooms are spacious and it's such a lovely place! The staff are lovely, the food is what you'd expect for all inclusive (spaghetti, chips, salads, cheeses, and alot of meat and fish dishes) they do usually have a vegetarian part as well of about 3 or 4 different bits, there's also a part that's cooked in front of you, there were generally meats and fishes there, and in the morning it was fried and boiled eggs which was lovely! The resort itself is massive! We used 4 of the pools all together, the 5th one looked lovely but I don't think they allowed kids as it was a heated pool with a swim up bar. The pools were brilliant however there wasn't any with a shallow end going deeper, there was one shallow pool and the rest were from around 0.9m, great if the kids are tall enough but that was the only thing we were gutted about really The spa was absolutely amazing! We had massages and thoroughly enjoyed them! All inclusive is definately worth it as there's only really one or two bars near the beach, they were lovely but the resort is big enough with so many bars, you don't really feel the need to go out THE SNACK BARS!! they are amazing! The one snack bar has pizza and chips, and they are the most amazing pizza's! We didn't bother going to lunch most days as we just had pizza's by the pool, the others had burgers and meats as well as chips. The entertainment was lovely, there was one night which was a movie quiz, and getting everyone involved was brilliant! I really only have one complaint, the Italian and Greek resturaunts that you can use once each during your all inclusive stay wasn't the best at all, the food wasn't that bad but as there were two options for drinks (all inclusive or you could buy from a separate menu) if you wanted to stay with the all inclusive drinks they would take ages to serve you, in the Italian we sat for an hour an a half without anyone asking for another drinks order, we did ask when they brought the food round but they took so long we just left, I do think they must have been short staffed as you could see people rushing around with plates in their hand, and they brought the first course round fast, the next course we waited 10 minutes for the last two people's dishes after we had ours, it was very unorganised! Overall i'd recommend coming here for a lovely few days away with the family!…
The resort is big ,has 3 pools that sometimes get really crowdy and a beautifull sea that is a must to enjoy. Food is good and tasty my children loves it. There is also a kids club so we had time me and my husband to relax and book 2 Antistress spa treatments.A bit pricey but totally worth it,no time to have another one unfortunately. I would love to see you all again next time .Thanks for everything guys
