Well how do I start? We first found this little gem in 2019. We loved it that much that we re booked for 2020. Unfortunately due to covid we couldn't go. We then booked for 2021,and unfortunately the Greek government wasn't letting in UK resident's until 3 days after our actual booking so we missed out again. Well this year we got back to our happy place 😁. Blue diamond is a typical Greek small family run hotel,it's basic but it's clean. It is run by Dimitri,Nikos and Clare they are all lovely people. Dimitri serves at the bar and cooks all the food, his food is delicious and reasonably priced compared with other bars around, alcohol prices are also reasonably priced compared with other bars. The pool and the area around it is absolutely beautiful, this is Nikos domain. Clare took over running the bar while we were there as Dimitri was un well for a few days, needless to say she did a awesome job 😃. You can also book a taxi from here which is really handy and the taxi driver is George who is Nikos's son an all round family business 😁.The hotel is centrally located to both beaches which are approximately 10 minutes stroll. If you just want to swim in the sea then there is a path over the road that leads to the sea where you can go and if you like fishing it is literally a 1 minute walk away. There are bars and restaurants in both directions and the first ones are literally 2 minutes away. This year it was a lot hotter than our first visit and the mosquitos were on top form. We had electric plugin repellents in the room and citronella candles on the balcony and this sorted out the little beggars. I believe a guest actually had citronella candles lit in their room 😬why anyone would use a candle instead of a 240v plugin is beyond me. With the blue diamond only having 22 rooms as 2 of the rooms are owned by family members it is a great place to make new friends around the pool as everyone tends to make the effort to say hello. We have made friends with a few of the guests and we are meeting up with them next year as we rebooked after 3 days of being there for our 2 week stay. Can't wait until next year to meet up with friends and our Greek friends. Thank you Blue diamond 💎

Just returned after two weeks at this property , cheap and cheerful accommodation run by a lovely family, who go out of there way to look after you. They enhanced my Birthday celebrations by bringing a cake to my sunlounger .Food and drinks are available from the bar ,never short of sunbeds round the pool . Lots of lovely restaurants and bars in the village. I will be returning. 😎

We have just returned from a wonderful two week stay at Blue Diamond and we couldn't be happier with EVERYTHING! Dimitri and Nikos always have a smile and a wave for you. Claire took over the reigns for a few days while Dimitri was poorly and she was brilliant. So lovely, efficient and friendly. Food served at the pool bar is well presented and very tasty. Good selection on offer, you can't go wrong (I particularly recommend the club sandwich!) There are also plenty of Taverners/restaurants to eat out at within a short walk and most are excellent! They have a new cleaner since we went last time and she is just getting used to things, the comings and goings of guests etc but I'm sure she will get there. The rooms have all been updated since we last went and feel bright and fresh. They have plans for more updates around the place as well for future. They are not 5* but you don't pay 5* prices so if that's what you are after then maybe pay a lot more and go 5*. The mosquitoes were out in abundance but we had two plug in repellants in the room and had no problems. We had citronella candles for the balcony if we sat out at night as candles not permitted/recommended to be used inside, and rightly so. Why take the risk when you can buy the electrical ones, it's a no brainer! All in all another fabulous stay at our little gem of a place and we are already counting down to next year 😁 Thank you Dimitri, Claire and Nikos ❤️

Went to blue diamond for the 5th time can't fault these appartments for value for money and hospitality from dimitri /Nicos and clare. The bar snacks are excellent drinks are good and reasonably priced .Dimitra has the odd day when he comes round with his raaki for everybody to have a shot or 5 . The appartments are ideally located to the village at just a stones throw away stayed here for 4 weeks and have already bookelod for next year.

We didn't pay for five star luxury but these apartments delivered good value accommodation. No beach directly opposite but a short walk in either direction took you to the golden sandy beaches and the centre of SGS. The rooms were clean if basic. Not enough storage for clothes, but plenty of coat hangers in the wardrobe. The fridge worked as did the a/c which was an expensive extra, but necessary as temperatures were 35 every day. Only a two ring cooker but we ate out so not a problem. The shower always provided hot water , but was a bit basic behind a curtain The pool was excellent with always enough sunbeds, lovely watching swifts and Martins swoop down and have a drink in flight. Beds very hard and I woke up with back ache for the first few mornings but then took Ibuprofen every night which helped. The owner Dimitri was quite grumpy may be a communication problem as he didn't speak good English. In summary, goog basic clean accommodation with a very welcoming pool

Arrived 2315 at night and no one in sight. Fortunately I knew from Claire which room we were in. Next day Dimitris said he waited until after 3am for us. Anyhow the room was nice although don’t plan too much self catering. Plenty of crockery and cutlery plus kettle and toaster and usual hot plates but a little tight on room. Unfortunately the second day the aircon flooded inside the room but Dimitris was on the case and by bedtime the technician had visited and fixed it. Also had a panic when the hot tap in the shower would not turn off but again Dimitris sorted it promptly. Now, on to the good bits. The pool is wonderful with plenty of sun beds available. Prices at the pool bar were reasonable and Dimitris is a great cook. If you’re looking for a hefty but healthy lunch then try his Greek Ploughman’s. The hotel is situated in a perfect position near to all the restaurants and bars. We look forward to returning next year.

My partner and I stayed here for a week at the beginning of July. lovely hotel, very peaceful. Staff were great UNTIL we had a fire on our room on the last night. My partner had been bitten quite a bit by the mozzie so we got some of the mozzie candles. Put some on the balcony and 3 on the marble floor in the bedroom. On that fateful evening as we sat outside and watched the sun set a curtain in the bedroom was blown near the candle. As Greek law (according to Claire) they don't have to be flame retardant. Luckily my partner went into the room to finish getting ready, she shouted. I ran in and within seconds the curtain had gone from floor level to almost the ceiling. In the process of trying to put the fire out melted nylon dripped onto my hand causing painful blisters. The room was absolutely full of rancid smoke. Once everything was extinguished including all our dirty washing which was in a bag in front of the curtain I went to get Dimitri the owner. He went absolutely mental at me and accused us of doing it deliberately (even though we had said we would definitely go back) I asked him to call Claire (his nephews English wife) she arrived and all we got "well you will have to pay for the damage and your insurance won't cover it" she said she would come and see us the following day (which she didn't) as I walked to the door with her I said, why didn't the smoke alarm go off, I pressed the test button and it didn't work. She left, I opened up the alarm and guess what, no battery. I went knocking on the doors of the other rooms, explained to the occupants what had happened and suggested they check theirs. Not ONE out of the 24 rooms had a working smoke alarm. Most had NO BATTERY at all and the rest were disconnected. I'd we had had an afternoon snooze we would have both been DEAD leaving 4 kids with no mother. I was ill from toxic smoke inhilation for 5 days. I tried contacting contacting Claire on several occasions and she can't even be bothered to reply.

We arrived mid afternoon - greeted with a smile and shown to our room. Basic & clean as expected from Greece. Pool area is gorgeous - no fighting for a sun lounger or the usual Brit abroad saving loungers at silly oclock. Drinks prices are reasonable - no different from the rest of the area 3€ a beer 7€ for spirits. The food was cooked fresh and again priced well. Dimertri & George are comical - both such friendly men!! We were made to feel so welcome and honestly was gutted to leave. The area itself can be as quiet or loud as you want. Quiet meals watching the sunset to karaokes to the small hours. We would without a doubt return.

I’ve just returned from another wonderful holiday in the Blue Diamond Studios. This place has everything I need for a relaxing holiday. The large pool is set in tranquil gardens surrounded by vibrant plants only a few steps away from the sea. There’s plenty of sun loungers, I never had to “book a bed”. It’s quiet and peaceful with a plethora of restaurants and bars a short few minutes walk away. You’re close to all amenities yet not surrounded by concrete. A large sandy beach with water sports and facilities is about a ten minute walk, with smaller coves closer. The apartments themselves are a little dated but the owners are working on updating them, every year something new is done, which is amazing given that this is the third season tourism has been badly hit by COVID. The Blue Diamond is rated as a 2* property so if you want 5* star luxury then it’s not for you. What it offers is comfortable, clean accommodation, relaxing pool and great location in a beautiful resort. I have always found it very clean with multiple towel and bed changes which is not the norm in other places I’ve stayed. Staff are very obliging and friendly and Dimitri is a wonderful cook, so would highly recommend the food at the pool bar. To me it’s friendly, authentic and incredible value for money and I look forward to returning. Karen, Dublin
