As usual, we stayed in the old part of the building which we actually like very much as it gives more authentic impression (as it is an old noble's town house) and you can open windows which is not possible in the new part of the building. It was quite calm as usual (the walls are actually somewhat thin but the other guests are rather quiet). Though during the night one of the guests was talking loudly with the receptionist and as we were not too far from the entrance hall it was vell heard. So earplugs came in handy. Breakfast was good as usual (this time I really liked chocolate muffins with soft chocolate filling), however, I would prefer local smoked ham over regular supermarket version... Also, some local apple juice instead of pasteurized orange juice would be nice. It would give an outstanding experience of the island Saaremaa! Using spa was as great as usual - so relaxing and never crowded - and local mud treatment was excellent! A definite recommend! Somewhat weird was the fact that despite of the signs of "caring for the environment" i.e. recommendation to leave the towels that need to be washed on the floor, they changed our towels every day. One thing we didn't like at all happened on the last day. Upon departure around 11:40 we forgot the box of cakes in the fridge. When I returned in an hour, the receptionist told me they had thrown it away and the litter had already been taken out! The cakes that were untouched... Very unpleasant. In this case, I would assume the receptionist has a minute to call to the guest for asking whether they are interested in coming back and taking the forgotten item or not. If not then thay are free to do with it whatever they please. What if I had forgotten my watch or a piece of jewellery? Nevertheless, I will return in future but I hope this incident never happens again to any of the guests of Arensburg Boutique Hotel & Spa.

We (me, my wife and our 4Y old daughter) stayed in Arensburg Spa & Hotel for 3 nights and it was an excellent experience. The room was nice, clean and very quiet
and the staff was kind enough to add an extra bed to our room free of charge. Visiting the spa area was very convenient and they had the towels and bathrobes ready (no bathrobes for children though). The spa area itself is not very big - couple of saunas, a jacuzzi and a small pool with different massage features (if you would like to swim then this is not the place). As we visited the spa only in late evening hours, there were almost nobody there so we had the whole place for ourselves. If the hotel is full and many guests are using the spa simultaneously, it can get crowded quite fast. Never tried any of the treatments so cannot comment on those.
The hotel has a free parking on site despite the fact that it is located in the dead centre of Kuressaare old town - the castle is 5 min walking to one direction and the central square is 5 min to other direction.
The breakfast buffet was abundant and very good and the staff very attentive. The restaurant menu, though, was very limited so you should plan the lunch and dinner off site, fortunately there are many good restaurants/pubs nearby.
So in conclusion a near perfect experience and having been in different spa-hotels in Kuressaare, Arensburg is very recommended.

The season is over but we were welcomed and served as usual and on expected level. The kitchen offers were original and tasty. It was nice to see that the pool and sauna were used also by local schoolchildren in the morning time

Had high expectations but was really disappointed. Where is the old school charm you expect in a hotel like this ?

The room was small and outdated . Bed too soft . Bathroom amenities should be more upmarket in a hotel where you pay 130 euros a night . A pump bottle of shampoo is motel standard , not boutique hotel standard .

We stayed in the old part in a superior room and were woken every time when someone passed the room as the door to corridor was squeaky. Please fix that with a few drops of oil!!!

Reception service was not specially welcoming . Next time I’ll book another hotel while staying in Kuresaare.

Good service, mostly very nice interior (except all showerrooms which look like they are made in 90ies). Got an historic room which looked nice but turned out to have no A/C (they have A/C’s in all historic building’s public rooms) + South side windows + interior temp nearly 40C.
When visiting the spa, men’s & women’s showerrooms look really worn out & in pools area there were more yelling small children than pool had squaremeters. Restaurant service was nice and appetizer was okay (tartar) but both main dishes were so overcooked & dry, that I wouldn’t want to reorder them even for half price. After all that (room like sauna, useless spa section, poor food quality), I decided to make the checkout on the same evening & leave to Tallinn

Ok stay. Good location, average hotel with average service. Big spider in the room and the service was ok, not great and not bad. Spa was ok, a pool and a sauna. The hotel didn't offer shampoo / conditioner which is usually offered in a spa hotel.

To begin with, just the facts. Firstly, if you choose a wide (double) bed, don't get too excited. Chances are you'll have two twin beds slouched together and covered with numerous layers of bedding which - as shocking as it may sound - do not help with that gape you'll end up rolling into at night. Secondly, the overall condition of the hotel is mediocre. It looks beautiful on the outside and in the foyer, but the rooms are a bit old and it shows (the last renovation, I believe, took place in 2002 which seems like not so long ago, but it actually is). Lastly, the spa complex is relatively old too. It looks way fancier on the photos but in real life, things might look a bit different (read, older) too. All in all, I would not recommend this place. There are cheaper options in the area and, given that the spa is not that great (or might even be closed) you'll end up overpaying for a very basic room and little to no service.

Now, this part is a bit personal and rich on details not everyone would be interested in if looking for a hotel. However, I was planning a birthday getaway, and a wonderful one at that. Unfortunately, this mission was not accomplished. Short of not being notified of several facilities not working (pool & sauna, the restaurant), I did not receive so much as a "Happy birthday" from any of the staff members (even though I did specifically mention my reason for the stay in an email). The property does not have any birthday offers at all. Unless, of course, you want a 20 euro bottle of champagne in your room? In that case yes, this is a place for you. There were countless (free or very cheap) opportunities for them to make my stay so much better (to name a few, they could have had breakfast delivered to my room or have placed a small floral arrangement in the room), but they did not take any of them. Their answer to a complaint I made regarding the pool being closed was basically "yeah, we are sorry, here's 20% off a private sauna order". Awesome, thanks, I was just wondering where to spend all that leftover money I have after paying for your _definitively not_ overpriced hotel. Over and above, communication with the staff was not great either. They do reply quickly enough, I'll give them that, but the information they provide might be lacking some important details. For instance, it does say on their webpage that the restaurant has limited open hours. But you have to dig through the page to find this.
To sum up, would not recommend.

Overall its good and tiny Boutique hotel. Unfortunately, as a boutique hotel they have not thought about people with longer sleep.
We had Opera Suite with breakfast, and morning for us was around 11 AM, i called to reception, asked about having late b reakfast and got answer "NO"
I didint liked it. Also, the AC was making too loud noise...
Guy in bar downstairs were supernice!

Super location and free parking - everything is within walking distance and easy to get to, spacious and quaint rooms, a tiny spa with everything you need and if you're lucky you'll be on your own. Same with breakfast - a small selection, yet everything is there and no one goes hungry. I recommend!

Hotel is in the heart of the city. Good breakfast. Guests can use saunas free of charge. However, it was very hot in the room and no airconditioning, no ventilator. The room was very small. Wifi connection was very poor.
