The colourful studio and apartment Hotel Mariant is on the border between the towns of S'illot and Sa Coma, on the eastern coast of the Balearic island of Majorca. The hotel is a short walk from both Playa S'illot, a classic sandy beach, and Playa Sa Coma. The hotel has a sun terrace, where you can relax beside the outdoor pool. With an integrated kids' splash pool, the whole family can enjoy the fun. From autumn through to spring, the hotel opens its indoor pool, so you can have a swim no matter the weather. There's a buffet restaurant, which puts on a special dinner each week, with a variety of typical Majorcan dishes. There's also a bar stocked with a range of local and international drinks. In the afternoons, you can get ice cream and fresh fruit from the smartline ice trolley. If you're looking to keep up your fitness routine, the hotel has a small gym available for guests. There's also table tennis available if you fancy getting competitive with friends and family.

Paid all inclusive for 10 days, disappointed in most staff, very rude and ignorant, as advised we would get entertainment and dj every night, not true. Alcohol choice was limited, food looked lovely but was always cold. Pool and bar staff had rules to follow but only when it suited, ie smoking areas and where to put lounge beds around the pool and also about using paper cups and not glasses. Don’t mind following rules which we was told about but staff never followed through with other guests. Waited at bar to be served and totally blanked by the bar staff numerous times. So disappointed

My first ever solo holiday and it was great. Lovely hotel in a quiet area, the staff were friendly and helpful, the food was good, my room was a little on the small side but had everything I needed and was clean and fresh. I could not fault anything at all and would happily stay here again.

Hotel Mariant is NOT a 3 star hotel, I would give this hotel 0 stars if it was possible, we went all inclusive at the hotel mariant (in s'illot, Majorca) and I have to say I am very disappointed about many things and absolutely livid with food, and the fact that certain incompetant staff members give false information about the food. The chefs or whomever designs the menu seem to have a sick fascination with pork or putting meat in everything which they put in practically all the mains and even side and fish dishes. I was told by a staff member that the pasta sauce was vegetarian and had no meat in it, so I got it on my plate and ate some that is when I discovered it had pork in it!!! I am a muslim so I under no circumstances eat pork or am allowed to eat pork, I AM STILL VERY ANGRY about this happening to me. It is an absolute outrage and despicable to be frank. The fact that nobody even apologised is even worse. My advice to any muslims, jewish, vegetarians or vegans is do NOT trust the food at hotel mariant and do not trust the staff members either because they are either incompetant or worst just liars and don't care about or respect people's religions. I was literally left in tears about the whole ordeal, and was actually physically sick about the ordeal which has left me traumatised. I cried so much about it on the day and unfortunately everytime I think about it I burst out in tears. I am just so angry that this happened. I'm not one to call out someone by their name, but the guy who basically is responsible for making me eat pork whether direct or indirect has really upset/angered/ annoyed me and I am just so angry at eating pork (through no fault of my own) that there are not even enough words to describe how I feel it's so disgusting how this can happen. I am a mild mannered person so even though I did call them out on it, I was actually very nice about the whole thing (not that the staff even care about people's religion or beliefs). My life has been ruined (because that guy gave false information) I will now never ever trust anyone ever again and this has put me off ever going on holiday again, I literally have lost trust and faith in people (I can't stop thinking about eating that pork, I have physically puked about 10 times since it happened and I haven't been able to eat because I keep thinking about it. Hardly any staff speak or understand english, and they don't seem to care very much for british people. The atmosphere at this hotel is very unfriendly, they wouldn't know customer service if it slapped them in the face, the english is so limited that you could literally get more out of a brick wall. The hotel room itself was clean, and a few staff were nice, but on the other hand some of the staff don't know how to smile back at you or say hello back to you when you smile at them and say hello. However the walls are paper thin so you can literally hear everything from the next room including passing of wind, ablutions, people singing at ridiculous hours. One good thing is beach is close by which is very convenient, however there is nothing else good close by. I have been on 6 all inclusive holidays in my life and I have never left a review. I wasn't even going to leave a review however I felt that I should after the pork incident occured because I don't want anyone else to go through the trauma I went through. I will never ever step foot in Majorca again after this incident (even if it was free), I definately wouldn't ever stay at the hotel mariant even if someone paid me and paid for my stay. Even as I am writing this I am in tears just thinking about eating that pork. If you have certain religious beliefs i.e muslim or jewish (who can't eat pork) please be very careful if you are eating here, or even if you are a vegan or vegetarian please beware, my advice to you is do not got to this hotel or if you do, don't eat here they can't be trusted.

Really nice location of the hotel. The hotel is in need of a major overhaul, especially the bathrooms. After checkout you can leave your items but in the open unattended. Staff wasn’t nice :( and we have to sign a document when we was checking but it was only in Spanish, no English version so we wasn’t sure what it was… So it’s really hard to recommend 🤷‍♀️

Air conditioning Our stay was fine I’ll leave you to read other reviews as I want to concentrate on the AC We arrived about 9pm dumped our things and went for food at the Grill next door (amazing food) on getting back to the room about 11pm shattered we started to unpack, I tried to get the AC to work - nothing, kept turning it right down but nothing, opened the doors to let some air in and accepted if made a school boy error and booked a hotel without AC which is not like me. Couldn’t sleep due to the height and was saturated in sweat, I’m sure I lost 6 stone that night, I actually thought the maid was going to find us melted on the floor! Decided to have a shower at 6 to cool down and got ready to walk over to the ruins at the back of the hotel so closed the patio door and hey bloody presto the AC kicked in, we quickly realised that the magnet on the patio door is connected to the AC and as it wasn’t connected right when we arrived it never started and of course I made it worse by opening the doors. A simple poster to explain this would have really helped p.s. I put the 6 stone back on over the remainder of the holiday so no harm done 😉

Mainly friendly staff: The staff work extremely hard and long hours. Clean and tidy rooms, good food. There was entertainment 3 nights out of 7 Plenty of sunbeds butthe pool is small with no play features for children. Also no poolside toilets which would solve the problem of trailing wet through the hotel bar and lobby. The "annexe" is offsite, a fair walk from the main hotel, down a busy one way street where cars park accross the pedestrian crossing! No fridge or kettle in these rooms. A courtesy surely when such a distance from the main complex and no facilities available in this building? Plus, I believe charged at the same rates as the main building!!! This was the most disappointing part of the holiday. NOT FOR DISABLED PEOPLE!! The playpark featured in some photographs is not on the site either. It is accross the road behind padlocked gates, it looks dirty and uncared for. I only saw the gates opened once. I would not really recommend for a family holiday (families with young children). definitely NOT FOR DISABLED.

I travelled with my husband, 9yo daughter and mother in law. We stayed in the annex but wasn't told this is 50 meters down the road from the main hotel. Not ideal when I am an ambulatory disabled person who struggles with mobility. The hotel itself has steps everywhere even leading to the toilets (no disabled facilities) The hotel is very clean, staff are friendly and food was delicious though there could have been more options for children. It's a very good hotel but not much for children to do unfortunately. We made the most of the time we had there and had it been disabled friendly and a little more entertainment it would be a fantastic hotel. Food is definitely the highlight!

Nice little all inclusive hotel, booked a lastminute 4 night break with jet 2, for 3 adults & 2 children and we totaly enjoyed it. we were booked to go into the annexe but was given 2 rooms on the 4th floor of the hotel , the rooms were a good size and very clean with comfy beds and a bath with overhead shower, everyone of the staff we met was very freindly from reception cleaners bar staff waiters and chefs. the grandchildren had a great time and really enjoyed themselves. The food was plentyful as were the drinks, hotel well placed between 2 beaches and the little train that runs upto calla millor was great

Horrible arrived at 1.30am to be met with a queue of 40 multi cultural with small children all grisling tired waiting to checking in. One man who was lovely but very slow and a girl who was as miserable as sun. Finally got to desk after 40 mins to then be told to wait again to be shown to annex. I had previously emailed ahead twice and had no response to ask for a room upgrade. They could have at least acknowledged my email. Instead I was ignored. Then sat for a further 20 minutes whilst everyone else was checked in for this Swedish girl to walk us 500 yards down road place a key in door. “This key opens door in and out there is a lift” exact words. That was it. When we got up to room. It was like youth hostal. No English tv Chanel’s, phone didn’t work, no bedside lights, shower head didn’t stay up so had to bend Under it to shower or prop it up with a bottle to shower. Bits coming off in bathroom and floor filthy. We liked to sit on balcony but at the stroke of midnight all outside lights were switched off and you were plunged into darkness. I didn’t ask about and was told it was automatic. The food and drink was in the tiniest cardboard cups which leaked after about 20 mins and were so small you had to drink and refill standing otherwise by time you sat down you were up again for another. Breakfast was awful nothing for English except a fried egg. Milk terrible no salt on tables had to use a teaspoon and take take it in my hand to my food and also had to ask a lot for butter. Good in general was ok. But people were getting food and having no where to sit as not enough seating when it was busy. Gym and spa was an extra charge. Didn’t know this on arrival. Pictures on website not like rooms very dated. It was more a 2 star in my book. The pool looks big in pictures and it was not it was crammed with rude French kids and Germans with towels on beds all occupied at sunrise so no chance. Most of staff actually seemed nice but Swedish lass needs a new career if she is really that miserable at work. Especially front of house. We felt like children in a youth hostel and spent most of our days on beach because the hotel was so depressing. The wire was an old pitch and put which seemed to be used as a car park. We arrived on the 29th July and left on the 3 rd august. It was my birthday on 1st august and it was ruined. The only that saved it was the beach. Will return to Majorca but never this hotel. Pictures don’t tell truth.

Arrived late at this hotel on a Sunday evening and the chap on the reception was lovely and gave me a packed lunch which I really appreciated. I travelled on my own and booked a single room, the bed was really comfortable and the room although small was ok. The shower cubicle is tiny and not really suitable, if possible this would be better if it was bigger. I was right next to the hotel loos and although they were cleaned regularly the smell did linger! The food was brilliant, no complaints at all, always something to eat. Yes it's busy but people are hungry. Everyone queued and the staff in the restaurant are a credit to the hotel. Replenishing straight away when food ran out and people clearing the tables were fantastic and friendly. The towels on sunbeds are an occupational hazard of holidays now and very difficult to police, if you can't beat them, just join them! The only thing that let the holiday down was the other guest's behaviour. Kids running around then bombing into the pool and swimming underneath the water where people were trying to swim, maybe the lifeguard could monitor this rather than moving the sun loungers around. The hotel is in a perfect position up a side road, beaches, bars and restaurants are all within walking distance. Just a NB this hotel was predominantly Eastern Europeans, French and Germans and the cultural differences are very apparent!
