What an awesome place!!! Been there recently for 2 days/1 night, way too short. The diving, the snorkeling, the bird life, the pristine beaches and the unpretentious Eco Resort - everything is just perfect. Lots of activities are offered throughout the day, or simply chill in total peace and quiet. Most impressive is how the island and resort actually operates.... More

I was recommend to go to Lady Elliot by friends - I have to say it was one of the best things I’ve done. I initially thought that it was a bit expensive going however this trip was such a great value for money. Everything about the place is excellent. The snorkeling was amazing – While snorkeling, I saw mantra... More

My wife and I really enjoy LEI. Great snorkelling and relaxed atmosphere. You must love snorkelling or diving to go here. Not too much else to do. But we got to see manta rays which was a huge thrill. We are going back again in Oct 2016. It is only 3.5 stars so don't expect luxury though.

Paradise is only a 90 minute flight north of Brisbane!! It's been 432 hours since I left the colourful marine life, incredible bird life and breathtaking sunsets of Lady Elliot Island. The friendly/down to earth staff went beyond their job descriptions to make our stay an extra special and unforgettable honeymoon for my wife and I. Seeing the smile on... More

Two areas to snorkle, one on each side of this small island. The large, enclosed reef is greatl. Shallow even at high tide (you could stand up above the water) made viewing clear and really close up. Being a protected area the turtles were used to people and would stop for a gentle scratch on their shells. We snorkled with... More

When you arrive on Lady Elliott Island you are greeted by a cheerful host and gorgeous sunny weather. The rooms are basic but if you stay in a reef unit you will be lulled to sleep by the ocean waves and the smell of the salt air. There are thousands of sea birds and cheeky little ground birds that frequent... More

We decided to break the bank to come here rather than other options, when looking for a few days nature away from Sydney' and we didn't regret it. It lives up to its reputation. The staff are wonderful, it's incredibly efficient and professional while relaxed, and the atmosphere is unique. Arriving by plane you except the Fantasy Island theme to... More

This is a fabulous experience, it is all about the sea and the magical sea life. The people who work there are all passionate about the marine world and are very informative and willing to share their knowledge with you. It was truly a trip of a life time, the diving and snorkelling excursions are very well organised and everyone... More

We had 7 nights on Lady Elliot Island and this wasn't long enough!! The staff were great, particularly Kate, who took us on a number of guided tours. We snorkelled with manta rays, turtles, sharks, dolphins and so many more wonderful sea creatures. Saw lots of whales breaching and tail flapping. Accommodation was great. Simple but clean (reef unit). The... More
