Lady Elliot Island adventure starts from the moment you board one of Peter's light aircraft for your flight to the Island There are varying types of accommodation depending on your preference and budget We were lucky enough to have a chalet by the beach front Staff were so helpful and knowledgeable about the Great Barrier Reef where we went and... We stayed for a week in July in a cabin. The cabins are really clean and comfortable and great to have during the sometimes stormy winter weather. The wildlife and reefs are fantastic with both the wall and lagoon snorkelling just a short stroll away. There are many many turtles and the manta rays were fantastic - we had 5-6... More

We travelled as a family of four to Lady Elliot Island after checking out various reviews on alternative island destinations on the Great Barrier Reef. I am happy to say that LEI was everything the previous reviewers said it would be. A warm and friendly welcome when we landed, good facilities and amazing diving and snorkelling with manta rays, sharks... More

We had an amazing 5 days on Lady Elliot island. We visited as a family with our 2 grown up sons and it was wonderful to experience our diving and snorkeling adventures together. Best bits were: 1) snorkeling in the lagoon among the turtles. Each snorkel we saw at least 10 turtles: green, loggerhead and hawkesbill were all there and... More

What a spectacular place, run by the most wonderful staff who were genuine and humble in sharing their educated experience. Snorkeling with literally dozens of manta rays, watching whales breach, being spoiled with excellent buffet dinners and Andreas' 5🌟omelet at breakfast. Wow, and i don't mean maybe! I'll certainly be back

Our first holiday without children in 18 years and despite the terrible weather we had a lovely week on LEI. The staff are all so helpful, knowledgable, and enthusastic. During the bad weather they went out of their way to put on other activities and make sure we could enjoy as much as possible. The food is excellent and husband... More

Lets start with what the resort is not. It is not a luxury Ritz Carlton type of place. If you are a champagne and caviar by the pool kind of traveler, this is not your place. If your view of a dive resort is that it should have French antiques and Turkish carpets in the hallway, then Hayman Island is... More

Just been for 5 days . We were unfortunate in that we had the second and third day of wild winds and pouring rain . The staff never let us down . The Japanese guide on the plane spoke to us every day and kept up our spirits. The activities staff put on quizzes and games to keep us engaged... More

Overall I think the resort is very tired and basic and the food which is included in the package is very ordinary luckily we were not really interested in either. What we were interested in was the Manta rays of which there were numerous on one trip we saw about 20 and on a second hour long trip there were... More

This island is a place I had the good fortune to go back to. It is not cheap as the only way in is to fly. But WOW! what a wonderful experience. A Coral Quay that has everything going for it. The birds are amazing and so noisy, even at night, but who cares! To walk among the coral when... More
