We travelled to Wilson for a number of nights about 10 years ago. We have read the mixed recent reviews with a sense of disappointment as our trip there is one of our greatest memories. It is noted that Wilson is currently 'closed' however if there is a way of booking the whole island for a special event it would...

This was my third trip to Wilson Island. It used to be my favourite destination in the world. Which is why we remained determined to get there despite being told variously when we tried to book that it was ‘closed’, ‘exclusive use only’ and ‘fully booked’ at the same time as being specifically promoted at a cut price as an...

Thank you for the feedback regarding your visit to Heron and Wilson Islands. I was delighted that you could return to the Islands this year, especially to participate in the annual Heron Island Ocean Swim and that you enjoyed the event. We remain committed to expanding this yearly event into a world class open ocean swim in years to come....

We stayed here in October having booked it over two years ago as part of a bigger travelling holiday. A few hiccups getting to and from the island which I will put in my Heron Island review, I do not want to detract from what is a truly magnificent experience. Wilson Island has changed it's booking conditions now so we...

Thank you very much for your comprehensive review, and the time taken to do so. It is appreciated. We are delighted that you had such a wonderful experience and we exceeded your expectations in so many ways. Marg and Lindsay are indeed fantastic hosts and people, we value them very much. Wilson Island is indeed a unique experience and we...

We only stayed 3 nights, and it was a total extravagance for us, but it was incredible and worth every dollar. We saw so many turtles -- nesting, mating. Any time you wanted to snorkel with them you could just jump in the water. Also beautiful reef fish, manta rays, whales migrating past the island, lots of interesting birds including...

It is terrific that you enjoyed your extravagance so much, what a bonus that you stayed during such a strong Turtle and Whales season - and they come to you! Wilson is a truly unique castaway experience and compliments Heron Island so well. Thank you for the review and we look forward to welcoming you back in the not to...

Wilson Island is a truly beautiful place to visit - from the time our feet touched the sand until (sadly) we left we could not find a negative comment to make except we had to leave. For a long break it may not be the best but for up to say 4 days you will be left feeling you have...

We did a last minute trip to stay 2 nights Wilson Island and 2 nights on Heron Island over Easter 2013. We booked direct and the staff were very helpful with squeezing us in and moving some dates around so we could come (but there were some problems - see below). As a destination, the islands are just incredible. The...

A lnog overdue review, but we are still amazed out how absolutely wonderful our destination wedding was on Wilson Island. We traveled all of the way from the US to wed there in August 2012 and stayed on the island for 4 nights in total. We did not have any guests attend our wedding, and in fact, I had noted...

We stayed one night in early January 2013 as part of a holiday to Heron Island. Wilson Island is an idyllic location. The best off-beach snorkelling we have ever experienced complete with resident Loggerhead Turtles, rays and schools of irridescent fish. Be careful though - there are no lifeguards nor even a boat to go out and pick you up,...

Wilson Island was amazing. I loved the tent and the snorkeling was amazing. All meals and drinks are included and were all top-notch. I especially enjoyed the sundowners complete with sparkling wine and exceptionally good appetizers around sunset each evening. But beware that the birds on Wilson aren't the nice tweeting birds, these birds are loud. But it all adds...

This review is long overdue. I stayed at Wilson Island for 3 nights before spending 4 nights on Heron Island in early October 2012. I had never camped before, and my husband said I could never survive in the wild. So I decided to go glamping (glamorous camping), and live as castaways on Wilson Island for 3 days. It was...

“All rooms are fantastic, the eastern side is more breezy, but can become blowy, the western side is the most sheltered, can become a little too hot. Remember this review is for the height of summer, so amazingly comfortable considering they are up-market safari tents.”
