well, here we go when perfections is achieved the monumental location in franciacorta is only the start than service , complimentary amenities and food!! wow 🤩 walk thru the vineyard and felt the years spent sapient work! the Franciacorta is luxury road to find a special gem as Albereta relais... unfortunately i couldn’t try the spa, next time but no doubt will be as good as the rest of the experience
Simply put, this hotel is not worth it’s Relais & Chateaux status and is definitely not a 5 star establishment. Let me give you some specific examples. When checking in we got very quickly walked to our room without telling us anything about the property, breakfast, the facilities, etc. We had to find out ourselves where breakfast was y wondering around and what time it ended, availability of newspapers, etc. We booked a suite, room number 202. It is advertised as having a separate seating area and often a sofa bed. All I can say, don’t waste your money on a suite here if you absolutely have to stay here. Our seating area was literally a corridor / entrance to the room next to a bathroom entrance with no sofa (just two awkwardly placed armchairs and a small table), no windows, no TV. I have included a photo. Next was the temperature in the room and this has been mentioned in other reviews. In the middle of the night it would become unbearably hot and still and temperature controls in the room do absolutely nothing to change it. Best you can do is keep opening and closing the balcony door to naturally regulate the temperature. The hotel markets itself as a luxury 19th century villa. Granted, it’s common areas are nice, but rooms are dated to the point of showing some serious wear and breakages with strong flavour of no updates since 1980s. In our room carpet was ripped, doors chipped, shower rusty with bits literally falling off. I have included photos. Breakfast is 28 euros per person (for basic buffet offering) and extra 12 to 15 euros if you want properly cooked eggs rather than runny slosh which they say is scrambled eggs available as part of the main breakfast offering. WiFi was literally off in our part of the hotel. I asked the staff on the first day about it politely explaining that it works in the restaurant & common areas but not in our room. Was told that there are no problems in the hotel with internet and I should try again. Next day same problem, this time my husband was a little more forceful. Surprise, surprise, wifi signal appeared 5 minutes after our second complaint but still no acknowledgement that they simply refuse to switch on all routers at the furthest end of the property hoping that you will never ask. Overall, I would definitely not recommend this property for a five star luxury escape that it markets itself to be. Plenty of other much better offerings at that price point with better quality of accomodation, better food and definitely much more superior service. …
L’Albereta is one of those places that usually just exists in your mind. Elegant, graceful, perfectly appointed, well trained staff that feels it’s their God given calling to please you. The hotel is a villa that has been wonderfully modernized while still keeping the patina of its heritage. Food is exceptional, spa is otherworldly, grounds are impeccable, and again, staff is what you dream of. Take me back — anytime.
Beautiful country hotel, sophisticated, slightly formal and quiet. I can't imagine children running around this place, although in the summer it might be different as it has enormous outside entertaining and dining areas. Elegant reception rooms, bar etc., also the dining room though this is very formal. It has windows into the kitchen which is fun. Rooms are smart but very comfortable. Helpful and friendly staff though the whole place feels quite stiff.
Very nice place in the center oggi Franciacorta district. Good food, good gymnic room and SPA. Big rooms with everything you need. You must also visit bellavista Winehouse. Near Milan less 1 hour a beautiful place to be
