My partner and I stayed here for 4 nights in September 2021. It was absolute bliss. It is ideally located in a quieter area of Laveno and easily accessible by car with a large free secured car park. The centre of Laveno is a 5-minute walk from the hotel. The staff are extremely friendly, professional and always there to help out. The heated swimming pool and solarium area is pristine clean and very relaxing. I tried the fitness area on many occasions and all the machines worked perfectly each time. We were lucky to have a ground floor room with a small garden area. The rooms are spotlessly clean, functional and modern. The breakfast room was large enough to accommodate all guests and use of the outside veranda is a plus. I recommend this hotel 1000% and will definitely return soon. A big thank you to the whole “Hotel de Charme” team. Heaven 😉

We have stayed in many hotels around the world but this was the place for us, Laveno is quiet and not packed with tourists but you can easily get the ferry to hop around the lake and all its towns and islands.
The hotel was welcoming, small enough to be personal and large enough to feel like you have space, the views are magnificent (especially from the pool). I went to the pool before breakfast every day and did not have a problem with going early.
The breakfast had all the choice you could wish for, the afternoon tea and cake was fabulous after a busy day island hopping and the dinner and wine were another level of taste and choice. The service was impeccable and although we have stayed in many 5 star hotels, this was by far the most perfect for us.
We travelled from Milan on train and it was very simple, we visited the local cable car which was amazing and simple to find.
We had the lake view room last time and it was clean, modern, spacious, airy, with a fabulous view of the lake and delicious smell from the diffuser and toiletries.
We rarely go back to the same location or hotel but have booked to go back in May 2024 for my husbands birthday, this time we have treated ourselves to a junior suite.
Thank you to the staff, chefs and cleaners for making the 3 nights so perfect.

This is our 2nd visit based on our experience last year. Firstly this hotel is a beautiful calm gem. It is a clean, fresh, modern boutique hotel with charm and it feels like you have a secret that you don't want anyone else to know. Secondly, the real secret is the Michelin level Italian food at its finest. We have travelled the length and breadth of Italy and Sicily and honestly, how Carmino and team have not got 2 Michelin stars is beyond us .. from the locally sourced salads and cheeses to the carefully constructed nightly menu of fish, meat and vegi options, this place is as good as any Michelin restaurants we have been lucky enough to visit and is of the same level as some of the best restaurants in the world. Fresh, basic Italian ingredients served beautifully with combinations you would not normally see. Tonight's ricotta gnocchi and sea bream are just a couple of examples. Pictures enclosed. Then there is the service from the team.. reception, waitresses and the front of house team cannot do enough to make your stay beautiful but there is no forced air of yes sir/madam. Just a friendly team who really wants you to be happy, including a greet with the chef tonight so I can say thanks and seeing the spotless kitchens. The backdrop of the mountains, greenery and lack of tourists is a bonus of course but the prices for coffee and aperitivo, are very reasonable along with the e- bike hiring, free steam room, sauna and spa space that is the quality of any 5 star London hotel and just another level of massage and pool overlooking the lake. We had to book in advance but if the team stays then we will be back every year... Thanks and we look forward to another couple of days.

We were so pleased to discover this excellent hotel, which has turned out to be one of the highlights of our Italian vacation.
The hotel is an extremely well run establishment and surely offers you almost a 5 star experience with great value for money. The management and staff are all exceptional and it is obvious that they are all aiming at providing the maximum customer experience. One thing that always delights us is the fact that most staff are quite proficient in English and have a great sense of humour.
The facilities at the hotel are amazing and the accommodation is very comfortable. The only very slight negative item that can be noted is that there are a few minor architectural items in the room that may initially be an annoyance, but can be quickly forgotten as you get to experience your overall stay.

We stayed at the hotel in room 207 which was delightful and has beautiful views. The whole experience has been positive, food is of high quality, staff are very helpful and professional, the location is perfect for visiting other places on the lake. The pool area on the roof is a joy with stunning views. We are so happy that we picked this hotel.

Fabulous hotel , quiet location but really handy for the ferry. The hotel has on site parking and a we had a fantastic lake view room. The staff are fantastic, really friendly and welcoming and helpful.breakfast is fantastic with probably the best omelette I’ve ever had!! The half board option includes dinner which we had for three nights and was delicious this also comes with wine included. Friday night is aperitif night too !! We had complimentary welcome drinks the first night and the staff remembered our names. The roof top pool if gorgeous on a sunny evening and was bliss. I ordered hot milk for my coffee every morning via room service and it arrived in a couple of minutes, accompanied by a smile from the lovely staff. Frederica was amazing and seemed to be everywhere, serving everyone!! A fantastic hotel , great food and great staff. Perfect for visiting maggiore, but quiet. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Thank you !

Wonderful hotel with fabulous service!!!! located in a beautiful small town… the service was excellent on every level from management , food, service, housekeeping . They even picked us up at the train station so we would not have to carry four bags on the sidewalk. We bought a room with the Lakeview on the second floor and half board. Quality and variety of food excellent. We loved the afternoon tea on the terrace outside. We felt very spoiled and well taken care of …We hope to return someday soon.

Excellent hotel and service in all aspects. EV-charging and covered parking spaces for our vehicle. As this is the conversion of an old factory, some rooms have a pillar in the middle of the room, reducing the useful space for the sitting area. Unfortuantely, the hotel airco broke down for about 2 days of our stay. Location is perfect for visiting the Lago Maggiore highlights with the public boat transport and even ferry. We didn't use our car during our stay.

We enjoyed a wonderful 7 night stay at Hotel de Charme Laveno-Mombello. The hotel is stylish, modern, scrupulously clean, well appointed and enjoys a great location on the lake. Particular highlights for us were the food and the staff - who were just delightful. To find a hotel staffed by people from across the age spectrum who clearly enjoy what they do and who genuinely want to go the extra mile, so ensuring that guests are comfortable, is all too rare these days.

We really enjoyed our stat at Hotel de Charme Laveno. The room was large and comfortable overlooking the Lake. The pool and spa were wonderful. We had breakfast and dinner each day at the hotel restaurant and the food was fantastic. The hotel arranged for us to hire a private boat that took us to the islands as well as a tour of all around the lake shores. We originally had planned on staying in Stressa, but we were very glad we stayed here instead. Fewer tourists and less busy in general.
