Excellent hotel in Laveno at Lago Maggiore. Very nice room with a stunning lake view. Room is of a very good size and well appointed. The hotel also has a Michelin rated restaurant, which serves excellent food at a very reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

Lovely views, we attended for a wedding and the food and service was fantastic. We had a room directly above the restaurant and on the night it wasn't the function we were there for, there was another function and this was quite noisy with the windows open until about midnight. The restaurant is Michelin recommended meaning it does get booked very quickly at weekends and evenings, so be aware that it's about 25 mins walk or 7 min drive to the town where there are some lovely places to eat.

The Locanda Pozzetto is immersed in a beautiful parc located on a hill above Lake Maggiore, the view is stunning in the lake, the opposite shoreline and background Alps... superb! Not many rooms ensure intimacy and coziness and silence, and the clean air completes the atmosphere for a wonderfully relaxing stay. The restaurant is closed in Mondays so for us it was a no-go. On the downside, the hotel’s service is blunt. Our friends were caught sick and unable to be with us so we thought to postpone our stay, but being 3 days short we got very firmly told that the night would be debited to us. So we visited anyway, the place was almost all for us... I sent a positive feedback after our stay, but more than a week later I have still got no acknowledgment. So, The place is wonderful, but that’s the work of nature. The hotel service is terrible, that’s the work of man. How disappointing...

The reviews for the food are good, but we didn’t get the chance to eat here because although we booked a room, we didn’t get a table reservation so had to eat out. Then we had to suffer the noise of people enjoying dinner right below our window until midnight, then the noise of clearing up. The room was clean but basic, and no water provided, except in the mini bar at 2euros for a small bottle. Stupid. Breakfast was badly organised. Had to go in to the kitchen to find someone to ask for coffee. Nothing special. The room was overpriced. Why would we book a room up in the hills above town if we didn’t want to eat there? Why wouldn’t the hotel ask us if we needed to reserve a table? The whole experience was annoying and expensive.

We only stayed here for one night but wished it had been more. We stayed in a deluxe double room with lake view. It was a huge room with everything in it you could possible want. When we booked the hotel I did realise that the restaurant was closed, so we picked up a picnic on the way to the hotel. They were fine with us having a picnic, telling us where would be the nicest place in the gardens to have it. They even opened our bottle of wine for us. A most relaxing afternoon and evening spent it the grounds watching the lake below and the sun going down. The breakfast was delicious and very varied, the most enjoyable scrambled eggs.

This place should get 5 stars for being a tranquil retreat with a fantastic view. But it is not quiet, and it is not a hotel. It is a collection of rooms over a popular restaurant that runs 24/7 serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. And when not serving, the staff are eating, cleaning, moving furniture and throwing bottles into the bin. Rooms and food are overpriced. The raw fish was off.

I have chosen this place for an overnight in Laveno for family reasons. The location is peaceful and surrounded by beauty: over the hill, facing the lake and next to the wood. There are few rooms and this contributes to maintain a peaceful and cosy environment. Each room has an allocated reserved slot in the parking place. We booked a standard room with lake view and it went beyond our expectations. We had dinner in the restaurant which was the main reason of our choice for the night and it fully deserves its reputation. The menu is uplifting local products and biodiversity. The chef has in fact embraced the Slow Food alliance of Cooks and he incorporated in his menu a number of local products deserving higher attention in order to be preserved. Kindness and great attention for the clients. We stayed for an extra night as our stay was simply perfect. To be recommended without hesitations.

The view here is incredibly stunning overlooking the lakes and mountains. You drive up a windy road and then approach the charming bed and breakfast. On property there is a swing from a giant tree for guests to swing on while admiring the view. There are other spots to enjoy the view with benches and flowers. The grass is so green and fresh. This bed and Breakfeast is worth the stay. The restaurant onsite is absolutely delicious and tasty. If your staying overnight I would recommend staying for dinner. Cons- The walls are thin and we were able to hear the people in the room over. (Kids crying kept me up one night and the other night we heard a couple. The drain also needed to be unclogged. The town at the bottom of the hill Laveno, is not as busy as the towns in the other side of the lake Stresa or Intra, if your looking for that. The breakfast was okay. You have to pay extra for eggs, meats, and cheese. One more thing if you have luggage, it's difficult to wheel into your room. There are paths with pebbles so we couldn't wheel the suitcase. And there were stairs. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

We have stayed at Locanda Pozzetto several times now and enjoy more and more each time. The location is just idyllic with 180 degree views across the lake. The staff (and I mean all of them) work so hard to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible and we feel like part of the family now. Cannot wait for our next visit!
