You may need a local or a taxi to help you find this place, but it is a nice place for a family or business person to stay. Short walk to the lake and local stores, and a manageable walk up the hill to the Borromeo Castle. The Doll and Toy Museum in the castle is extensive and fascinating, and... More

This hotel is up a side road and on the whole it is quiet in the night after 11pm. My room was over the kitchen so there was a radio, chatting and general noise up to 11. The room was relatively small but as I was on my own I wasn't fussed. The bed was comfy and the shower worked... More

We have stopped at this hotel twice for lunch, the first time after discovering it down a narrow side road and apprehensively entering as from the outside it doesn't look particularly special, however once inside we were greeted by a friendly maitre'd and enjoyed a superbly cooked three course lunch. We returned again today and like the first time the... More

I will start at the beginning: After a 7 hour overnight flight and a 1 hour drive I arrive to a more than friendly and welcoming welcome by the young German lady at reception (poss the owner). It was 08:00 and I was offered breakfast immediately and my booking was rearranged to save me 1nights tariff and a reduction on... More

Lovely little hotel. Very good location, just one minute walk from the Lake Maggiore. Big rooms with old wooden ceiling, nicely furnished, comfortable bed, modern bathroom. Friendly staff, in particular Vittorio at the reception. Delicious breakfast. Finally, a very good restaurant “Vecchia Angera” where they serve excellent Italian food. Highly recommended.

Great risotto at the restaurant. I was at a very small room on the roof, but clean and quiet. Don't be afraid of ask to change room, some others did and got a nicer one. Internet was really slow but at least it was free.

I stayed in this hotel for two nights while on business in the area. The hotel is situated in a side street close to local bars and restaurants and close to Lake Maggiori. The staff were really friendly and chatty and made me feel very welcome. The room was a good size with good en-suite facilities. My room had twin... More

I stayed here one night and would return any time. The hotel itself is in a small street, my windows went actually to this street. It was in early May and the city not yet engaged by many tourists, so the whole place was quiet. Barely anyone on the streets. The city seems to be very clean and so was... More

This hotel is exactly what you pay for - reasonably priced, comfortable, clean - with a surprisingly good breakfast (not the usual Italian hotel breakfast fair). The view from the hotel is not great - it's up a side street - but what really places this hotel above the rest is the location. It is located in the little town... More
