A beautiful setting overlooking Lake Como. Rooms were really nice and the host, Romana, was very amenable. The breakfast was excellent with something to appeal to all palates. Would definitely return.

We spent just a few days in this beautiful place , arranged with taste and elegance by our host , Ms. Romana. We encountered a romantic atmosphere , with a beautiful white room , where every detail was carefully arranged. We were impressed by the wonderful paintings that were painted by the lady herself , piano next to our room...

What a wonderful place to end our 3-month European vacation! Our hostess, Romana. was a fun, delightful lady who did everything possible to make our stay unforgettable. She even drove me around to several fantastic picture spots when she found out I was a photographer. Breakfast was more than ample and quite tasty. The large rooms (we had the double)...

We stayed already the second time at B&B Papillion and we will definitely return. Romana is a very gentle and attentive host. She puts a lot on emphasize on the atmosphere and decoration. The breakfast got everything you wish for in a B&B and the rooms are tidy. It's simply a place you want to stay for vacation!

My husband and I stayed here for the first two nights of our honeymoon and it was a great place to start our vacation. We arrived late in the evening and Romana took care of us and fed us immediately upon arrival - she is the most hospitable person we met on the whole trip and really made us feel...

Fantastic place. Take the road up from the train station and turn towards the church near the top. Amazing views. Ample parking nearby. Romana is wonderful as well as very funny. Leave the tourists behind and relax. Easy access to Varenna which has a large parking structure and regular ferry access. The perfect place to stay!

We have stayed many times at B&B Papillon and each time we enjoy more than the last. Romana is such a fabulous host, making us feel so welcome and comfortable. The rooms are gorgeous, spacious, lovely decor and comfy beds. The views from the village are amazing, and her little garden is beautiful. Romana sets up a scrummy breakfast too....

One of the best B&B experiences that we've ever had. Romana is a very charming and gracious (and strangely hilarious) host who pays great attention to detail in keeping her property impeccably clean (and I mean very clean) and aptly decorated. I'm no design/home decor aficionado but I found her home to be very comfortable and chic. Upon arrival we...

We have enjoyed a two nights stay in Papillon with my family, between 3-5 of August 2013. The place is absolutly marvelous, the best B&B I have ever experienced. It is situated in Perledo (Bologna), on top of the mountain, with breathtaking views over lake Como. The area is quite and peaceful, excellent for rest and relaxing. Varenna is not...
