The bed and breakfast "la casa del poeta" is located in historical centre of Dervio on Como lakeOnly a 15 minutes by foot from lake near sport centre for sailing, windsurf and kite surf, only 5 minutes by foot from bar, supermarket, and other shops. Near the Dervio's station.We are at only 700 metres from the famous Crotto del cech RestaurantThe house has more than 300 years old and we have just reorganize it without change the original structure.The house has 3 room with private bath, 2 rooms have 4 places: a queen size bed with bunk bed and one room with a queen size bed.There is a living room for breakfast and a backyard for sports equipment. You are welcome to our B&B!

Lisa and Eugenio were the best hosts imaginable. They were helpful and made me feel really welcome. When I said I wanted to Varenna, Eugenio offered to drive me there. The breakfast was absolutely amazing: loads of local cheese, different types of bread and pastry, fruit, jam, yoghurt and the best coffee. My room was small, but cosy and had a nice little balcony. Dervio is not as picturesque as some of the other small towns in the area, but it is only a 10 min train ride to Varenna. La Casa del Poeta is a 5 min walk from the train station and a 10 min walk from the lake. From my balcony I could see the mountains.

It was a bit hard to find at first because the street is so narrow. But once we found the place rest of our stay was just perfect. Annalisa and Eugenio are amazing hosts, who do everything that the guests could 100% enjoy of their stay. Breakfast was superb, the table was full of all kind of food. Our room was really nice on the first floor and our privat bathroom was pretty spacy. One light minus goes to bed. It was very comfortable but creaked a bit too much. And wifi signal was quite weak at first floor, maybe router could solve this "problem". Definitely we will come back here in some day.

A lovely, serene hotel tucked into the bustling, winding streets of the Santa Cruz barrio. Our room was spacious, with lofty ceilings, and the courtyard is memorably lovely - full of plants and golden, filtered light, a perfect place for a drink in the late afternoon before venturing back out for dinner. The staff couldn't be friendlier or more accommodating. Really delightful.

We stayed at La Casa Del Poeta in Sept 2016. We booked it through Tripadvisor. Upon arrival in Dervio, we looked in vain for the place, but GPS or not, we had no luck. I was just about to try to locate another place, when we decided to park the car and walk around to see if we couldn't find it. We did find it down an alley and called the innkeepers whose numbers we had from the confirmation. It was a nice room in a nice old B&B. Breakfast was great and the host and his wife couldn't have been more gracious and helpful. In addition, he has a large fenced in parking lot. This was a great find.

Me, my boyfriend and our two friends stayed first weekend of August 2016 and had an amazing stay! The owners are SO welcoming, friendly and helpful I cannot stress enough how nice they are! Greeted with big smiles on arrival, room was very nice, breakfast was delicious! The owners told us about the island and advised best places to eat and visit etc. Great location to relax and take in some beautiful scenery. We would recommend this B&B to anyone and will hopefully be returning ourselves one day.

We had a wonderful 4 night stay at this lovely place. The room was very clean and the beds were really comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and the kids loved the crepes and all the different food. Both Eugenio and Annalisa were very helpful and gave us lots of advice on which places to visit and where to eat. Dervio is very quiet but we had a car so we could travel around. We were also given access to a safe parking place. It was a great experience. Thank you Annalisa and Eugenio.

We were very suprised how lovely this stay was for the price! Dervio is just gorgeous and not very touristy compared to other parts of lake Como. The breakfast was lovely and very family like around a table with Lisa and her husband. They were so welcoming and friendly. They couldn't do enough for us! Highly recommended B&B!

Lovely quaint village, we stayed 2 nights. Initially concerned about its location but this was unfounded, we had secure locked parking for our car and the hosts Annalisa and Euginio were the perfect hosts and very welcoming. A font of knowledge about places to visit and what to see. All round recommended.

This may not be everybodies cup of tea but it was ours. Dervio is a fantastic little touristy free town on the lake. This Bed and Breakfast is a real gem with fantastic hosts. The room is small and clean with a shower wetroom that you need to get used to.The breakfast is served by the host Eugene around a big kitchen table with local cheese and meats. He is so friendly and this is a great time to meet and chat to other guests.It came with free and safe car parking. I really recommend this place for its hospitality ,genuiness ,location and sheer GOOD Value. Eugene we will be visting you again one day. Oh and as its named watch out for those poetry quotes!!
