The pair of mincers stayed at the Hotel Lago di Como in Colico for 3 nights in early October. We started off our trip with a stressful drive from Milan Malpensa airport to the hotel, which was situated in the middle of Colico. The hotel is tucked away off the main road (away from the lake) down a quiet side... More

The hotel was tucked away off the main road through Colico, and shares the parking facility with locals which is located 200 yards away. The staffing of this hotel were minimal, but the receptionist / breakfast chef / tourist informer (Iga Sylwia) was exceptional in assisting with all requests, including helping to solve the safe issue on the final morning... This hotel was lovely. We got a great welcome and were well cared for throughout our stay by Sylvia, who makes the best scrambled eggs I've ever tasted. She even made us a picnic for our early departure time which was very welcome. Whilst this isn't the Ritz, it is a very pleasant hotel, with clean rooms, comfortable beds, a... More

This is a great little hotel, the hotel rooms have been fairly recently refurbished and have a contemporary feel. All the staff are amazing (one is now a f b friend), very friendly and will do anything to help. We used the restaurant every night (half board), we find you can always eat well in Italy. You certainly do here.... More

Great hotel, modern, clean room. Friendly staff. In central location of a quiet town. A few lovely restaurants around the place. Great location to do a quick trip across to Switzerland. Only downside is breakfast is very limited.

We stayed for ten nights having booked fairly late and been limited in choice around Lago di Como. We weren't disappointed, the hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. Our room was at the back and was nice and quiet and breakfast was ok with a reasonable selection. There isn't any hotel parking but there are free parking bays... More

We stayed here for three nights and found the hotel suitable to our needs. You reach the lake front in 5 minutes from there by walking. Breakfast could have been better but the staff's kindness compensated well for that deficit. Our room even had a large balcony. Wifi was somewhat weak in our room. Outside the room in the reception... More

We would recommend this hotel. Hotel is very clean, affordable, and does everything well. We had a room on the first floor with a terrace which was a real bonus. The continental breakfast was good with great cakes (the cream/custard croissants is a surprising delight!). Colico is a lovely quiet town, which is not too touristy (unlike some parts of... More
