Amazing campsite. The facilities were excellent - the showers in one of the blocks was comparable to a 5* hotel. the supermarket was good - not super-expensive.
The pool was really nice, and swimming in lake Maggiore was lovely - warmer than the pool.
No negatives. We had a nice pitch under trees that was a short walk to everything.
We were the only Brits on the site - but everyone spoke English, so wasn’t a challenge.

We stayed 5 nights at Hotel Campofelice (11th floor, in the tower). Comfy, modern rooms (newly renovated) - we had Deluxe Double with Balcony - with bright and big shower and a balcony with a superb view on the Lago Maggiore. Big windows to open and also A/C and heating. Free parking space available on site. Good Wifi, easy checkin & checkout, good breakfast. Nice staff. Due to the construction site nearby (they're renovating the nearby restaurant), we received a 20% discount off the regular rate. Very quiet at night, because the workers were on site between 07.00 am and 5.00 pm. We really recommand this place!

We stayed for three days at Campofelice Campground in Tenero. Even though it was off-season, it was still quite a busy place. The campground is very convenient, with everything easily accessible. The facilities, including showers, toilets, and washing areas, were clean and well-maintained. The lady who cleans these areas does an excellent job, and you can tell she takes pride in her work.
There is a small store on-site that has everything you need, which was very convenient. We went swimming in Lago Maggiore; while the water wasn't the cleanest, the location is beautiful, surrounded by mountains. There's also a pool area available, although we didn't use it.
Tenero is a great base for excursions, and there is a lot to do in Ticino. We loved our time here. It's a bit pricey, but overall, it's a great place to visit!

Buongiorno Gabriela, Thank you for sharing your experience at Campofelice Campground. We’re happy to hear you enjoyed your stay and appreciated the clean facilities. We’ll pass along your compliments to our staff, especially the lady responsible for cleaning. It's great to know the on-site store was convenient, and that you enjoyed the beautiful surroundings of Lago Maggiore, despite the water quality. We’re glad you found Tenero a perfect base for exploring Ticino. We hope to welcome you back soon! Best regards, Team Campofelice Camping Village

Positives - lake area beautiful, good facilities, kids enjoyed, ablutions very clean, restaurant campofelice was good, friendly staff, decent playgrounds and decent supermarket.
Negatives - pool hours only from 11:30 until 18:00 and then no kids allowed in warm pool from 17:00 to 18:00. Given summer sunset at 21:30, the pool hours are ridiculous. Credit card facilities limited and cash only or loading on armband very inconvenient. Its Switzerland in 2024 - lets try Twint? Early checkout (09:30) was irritating as you have to clean all dishes etc and then have to pay chf95 cleaning fee! At other self catering resorts in Switzerland we pay on average chf55. No basic cleaning things/soap or toilet paper supplied.
We lived in a River Lodge 4 bungalow which was ok but value for money questionable. Probably better to opt for proper camping and pay a bit less if you have the gear.

To the location directly on Lake Maggiore generously maintained complex. We treated ourselves to a bungalow, but at first glance they looked good after moving into and exploring the bungalow but noticed some inconsistencies. Inside the bungalow we have nothing to complain about, but on the veranda where we liked to spend our free time with board games and the food was worth little in terms of value preservation and repair (see pictures) you can see here that the bungalows have already come of age. Also missing were toilet paper rolls, soap and dish soap here they could take an example from the TCS. Also, the hot water supply is not guaranteed constant pressure and water temperature fluctuations with combustion danger sometimes too cold sometimes too hot. We had also looked at the sanitary facilities, fortunately we had our own sanitary facilities in the bungalow. Also, the site is located in an approach path, which exposes you all day through pirate rails and helicopters and their noise emissions. Our conclusion besides the not reasonable prices it was an attempt to visit this facility unfortunately they do not meet our demands, we will again rent the TCS campsite in Lugano which we have been visiting for years and its well-kept mobile home bungalows.

I went on a bit of an adventure alone with my daughters and in a tent, we had a first night in the rain so much that everything was wet, I asked to change a rental for payment but nothing was available . So we had to leave prematurely because they announced 2 consecutive days of rain, I stayed 2 nights instead of 7 well the campsite didn't give us any discount, I was really very disappointed I would have happily returned next time with a location. Many locations were available. Damage

The campsite is very well maintained. The plots are not too big but are OK. The site is right next to an airport. Constant aircraft noise and the noise of the motorway was very unpleasant. First helicopter flight at 5:50 a.m. The restaurant is good but expensive. For reference: the pizza Margherita costs around 16€.

Great campsite, clean and ideal with children. However, we noticed two very negative things: the entertainment for children (cinema & children's disco) is faaaaar too loud!!! E-bike rental is heavily advertised, but there are no child seats and when we asked about the e-bikes we were told "we don't have any e-bikes - they're all broken"

We stayed in one of the Camelia bungalows for one week. The cabin was very spacious and had everything you need for a week's stay. In general the campsite is clean, very well maintained and even with the COViD restrictions there was plenty to do for all the family. Lakeside has plenty of space and there are some 'parkour' floats for the kids to play on.
Check-in and checkout were both very easy and completed within 10 mins even with the COViD restrictions.
Highly recommended and we will be back.

Unfortunately, the hotel is not recommended at all. Extremely noisy, you can hear everything from across the street. In our case, between family rooms with children, there was a group of young men, shouting loudly, slamming doors until 10.30 p.m., but at least they kept to the quiet hours. The motorway outside was also extremely loud from 5 a.m., and you could hear it even with the windows closed. The beds are extremely hard, even in the superior room. So unfortunately, the price/performance ratio is not right here at all. The breakfast can only convince with the view, dry croissants, hardly any choice. The hotel is intentional but not skillful. The campsite is super nice, but we would definitely not visit the hotel again. The one star is 100% for the staff, who were all very friendly, especially the 2 ladies at breakfast!
