We booked a last minute stay at Villa Luisa. The staff were lovely and the facilities were modern and clean (the facade of the hotel is a bit dated but otherwise nice). The room was spacious with beautiful views to the mountain and a super comfy and big bed. Breakfast was fine, nothing to rave about, but managed well during Covid. We enjoyed the spa and made use of the covered parking. The location was also perfect (if you have a car), walking distance to a couple of small towns with nice restaurants, and well located if you want to explore the lake via car. It was definitely good value for money.
The views from our room were amazing. The pool area is lovely. Perfect for a chilled few hours. The indoor spa area is very well presented and a good option If the weather takes a turn. The location is perfect for exploring the lake. I’d suggest renting a car. Not sure how else you could get about from the hotel. The rooms are small but have everything you need and were very clean. We ate at the restaurant one night and it was good food. Good wine selection. Breakfast had a good choice. You are only about five mins walk from a few other restaurants if you go out of the resort and go left. We went to La Cariola Sbusa - Ristorante e pizzeria in Portese for both lunch and dinner and it was excellent and good value. The main issue I had with the hotel was the WiFi or lack there of! Even in the bar and by the pool is was terrible. Also the hot tubs are an extra charge which is a shame but I understand they are costly to manage. We would 100% come again. The staff were all lovely. …
Nice hotel to spend couple days on the lakeside. Very polite personal, clean room, free parking. We staed here in low season, so it was realy calm and quaet. SPA zone is realy relaxing even thought not big. Hightly recomend.
Exceptional accommodation and Fabio and his team do everything to ensure you have a great holiday. Comfortable big room with en-suite, cleaned daily. Great breakfast with plenty of options. Close to all travel options and minutes from town centre. Would highly recommend.
We have been to this hotel for the 3rd time. The new management is really cutting back on EVERYTHING. Previously booked and received a room with a lake view. This year too, now got a room with a view of a wall. Asked receptionist, we had to call the touroperator. Done and then we got a nice room with lake view. In our opinion the hotel is no longer worth the 4th star: - swimming pool is dirty, is not cleaned daily and we have not seen a test strip or cleaning machine in 1.5 week time. Poop in a children's pool was cleaned 2 days later. Tiles loose everywhere. There are 5 of 6 large umbrellas broken. Sunbeds are criss-crossed in the morning. Full litter bin wasn’t made empty for the next day. - No more bean coffee. Fried egg only on request. Long-life milk. Lunch / dinner good, but diner has small portions - Air conditioning cannot be set lower than 22 degrees so the room is not that cool - garage costs 5 euros per day since last year, or your car can be parked outside on a large grass field. - changing towels suddenly is 1 euro each towel (remember it’s a 4 star hotel) - Garden poorly maintained - Manager yells at staff + staff is friendly, they work hard and they add service as far as they can As guests, we felt something is going on here. A lot of discussions between the manager and the staff and they don’t mind doing it nearby guests. For us: there is more to explore, we will go somewhere else next time…
