This was the view we had from our private porch, up the valley towards the deep Andes. Lovely!

These are lovely units with wonderful views over the Elqui valley and beautiful dark skies. However, be warned it is not suitable for the elderly or disabled. It is set on a very steep valley side with lots of steps to get anywhere. We stayed in a lovely 2 floored unit but again the stairs were picturesque but a real pain to get up and down especially with luggage. Dont let this put you off going to the area, it is somewhere not to miss

Stayed in the Sita Cabana for 3 nights including New Year's eve.

The cabana is only a year old and decorated in a very original style with elements from Chile as well as Asia, interesting tiles and textiles, bright colours. A plunge pool and outdoor shower outside the bedroom on the second floor. A great place to watch the unbelievable star show that is night time in the Elqui Valley.

The views from the property of the mountain peaks and the green Limari Valley vineyards are gorgeous. The property is perfectly compact and dotted with mature trees and plants - pomegranate, mango, avocado, apricot.

Constanza is an excellent host. She recommended us to the best local restaurants and even managed to find one of them to deliver a prepared New Year's eve dinner. And helped us to arrange our transfer back to La Serena, which was difficult on the New Year's holiday.

Overall, highly original and very welcoming.

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to the couple that run Cabanas Elquimista for providing such breathtaking accommodation surrounded by the beautiful Andean mountains. We have never felt so welcome and we honestly wished we had stayed a lot longer, the private villa with private spa and pool was wow, we could not have asked for a better setting to propose to my future wife. Wine, cheese, fresh fruits and everything you need to picnic in their gardens is available a short walking distance into town. Thank you once again

We were three adults and two children ages 4 and 6 and had an incredibly relaxing and wonderful stay at the Afrodita cabin (really a house, not a cabin) for five nights. Our host Antonia was very accommodating and helpful and, after two weeks on the road staying in mostly smaller hotels, this was a wonderful freeing time for the children (whom we basically didn't see after we arrived -- we were there doing the low season so we were the only guests and since the compound is gated there was nothing to worry about -- we could let them explore the beautiful grounds and gardens). The location slightly out of town (e.g. 10 minute walk) is nice as it is a bit quieter and the two large, comfortable terraces with comfy couches and hammocks -- perfect for drinking coffee when you wake up to an absolutely unbeatable view. Plus, the kitchen is very very well appointed (even SHARP KNIVES, when do you get that a rental?!? And a blender for pisco sours!) and its very easy to cook lovely family meals or breakfast on the terrace. There is a wood burning stove which makes for nice, cozy evenings. Only small complaints are internet doesn't work very well and there isn't much light at night. But pretty minor, basically we loved it there.

This cabaña was absolutely beautiful. My family visited me in Chile after 2.5 years of me living here, and the first place we went to was Pisco Elqui where we stayed in Elquimista Cabañas for two nights. This was the perfect place to see Chile for the first time for them, and a perfect place to relax after a long flight. I was proud to say I live in this country such beautiful and easily accessible places to stay. The furnishings were beautiful, the beds comfortable and warm, the kitchen stocked with every accessory you could need, and with very kind and considerate caretakers and owners. I highly, highly recommend staying here.

Lovely funky houses set on a hill in one of the most fertile Chilean valleys. We stayed at Dakani, the smallest of them all, and absolutely loved the outside terrace, looking over the valley where miles of green vineyards and other crops can be seen, contrasting with the bone dry mountains around. The pools are lovely and the friendly cat, busy hummingbirds, and ecology conscious owners make this place very special. Beware of stairs if you have mobility problems. Also, this place is located at the other end of town (when you are coming from La Serena) and not that easy to find (pay attention to the little Elquimista #1, 2 or 3 signs on the main road).
To make this gem perfect, we would just suggest just a few things, like oil, vinegar, salt and pepper in the pantry, and a choice of non allergenic pillows and blankets (although in November it was so hot you could sleep without blanket, with all doors opened). Highly recommended!

We stayed for 3 nights at Christmas and were wowed by the stunning location and the peace and quite. We received a very warm welcome from Antonia and the accommodation (Isis) was just as described; very comfortable and well kitted out and with amazing views. Just the perfect retreat for a few days yet within a 5 minute walk from the picturesque village of Pisco Elqui.

These cabanas are in such a beautiful spot that they will melt your heart. We stayed here over Christmas and just loved the peace and quiet and laid back style - so fitting for where it is. The accommodation is great (rooms a little dark) and provides everything you need to self cater if you want, including a barbeque, although several restaurants are within easy walk. There is a bar where a ring of the bell will get you service. Wi fi not great but hey all part of the charm! The reason to be here is the stunning Elqui Valley - this place allows you to savour the place from your own balcony; what more can you ask for?

Great private accomodation thats really clean, new and comfortable furnishings, close to town but far enough away for the peace and quiet and a friendly and helpful host. The views were so good we went for 2 nights and ended up staying for 4!

We stayed in Isis, which is two bedroomed (both rooms are en suite - one with double bed and one with two large singles) but no private pool. Hope this helps.
