Friendly welcome and attentive, but not intrusive, staff. Facilities are nice and relaxing without being pompous, lunch was tasty and nicely presented and Tania gave my shoulders the most amazing workout during the full body massage. I have visited the Cleeve Spa several time and have never been disappointed. Will definately be back to try the mud and steam experience...

In the evening there is usually no instructor, and as this is a hotel the receptionist is on duty in another part of the building The gym shuts at 9pm,when 10pm would be much more convenient. At the weekend the gym shuts at 6 pm which is frustrating when the hotel is open. I emailed the hotel ,and have not had...

When I booked this hotel I went for the "best room" (named Appley) which was priced at £135 for bed and breakfast. We arrived and I asked for a bottle of Sauvignon blanc to be sent up, but was sent Chardonnay. I thought it was a bit ridiculous to comment so accepted it. I was disappointed that the room only...

When we first arrived I was slightly perturbed that there was a very loud wedding reception in full swing and I was worried that the band would keep me up after a tiring day. However, the fire doors etc meant that it was actually quite quiet in our room. The red and black decor was rather brash and the place...

I recently visited this hotel to spend the afternoon relaxing and using the spa facilities. The staff were wonderful, everyone was welcoming and went out of their way to help even on the phone before we visited. We had a delicious light lunch. The facilities are great, though we were lucky that we went mid-week and there weren't many other...

We went for a spa day, very reasonably priced day including lunch, one treatment and use of all the spa facilities. The staff could not have been more attentive and Steph's massage was one of the best I've ever had. A thoroughly enjoyable and restful day, would definitely recommend and we will be back!

We stayed for two nights and a wedding hosted at The Cleve. This time we did have time to use the Spa facilities. Like all things The Cleve could probably do with a little TLC but the Spa is just fine. The pool is very nice and a single depth from end to end, about 4ft deep. Rectangular in size...

The staff were probably the best feature of the hotel. Very polite and accommodating. The building itself looks very characteristic and welcoming but when you look closer it is in need of quite a lot of attention. Plastic flowers everywhere you look and not a real floral display in sight. Dirty looking and quite slippery pool area. The room although in...

Firstly this is the only hotel in Wellington so little choice. We booked for a base to our house hunting in the area. We had the Crowcombe Room with 2 single beds. There was no wardrobe or drawer space. A short rail for hanging clothes and what I can only call a slimline bookcase for putting all other clothes away.You...

Lovely spa day. Very relaxing. Super staff. My sister treated me to this day and a treat it was indeed. The facilities were excellent. We spent a lot of time in the pool and jacuzzi which was deliciously warm and inviting. Overall an experience to be repeated as often as possible.
