We were travelling along the A303 and looking for something close by...... WOW how lucky were we to call Nick. We had a fabulous night at the Devonshire Arms, beautiful room, gorgeous food, well priced quality wine and Nick even accommodated our 5.30am departure with a thoughtful and varied continental breakfast. Nick and the team were so considerate to us... More

This was our first visit, we weretaken by some friends who live localy. I can honestly say this was one of the best meals I have had for a very long time. Pleasant staff and traditional Georgian country hotel surroundings. Well cooked local fresh food with a touch of class. Not a huge menue but a good and varied selection. I... More

5 of us friends visited here for Sunday lunch, between us we all had starters and a mixture of roast beef, lamb and pork and all three roasts were fantastic, hot and fresh with lots of meat and vegetables. We also had desserts the treacle tart was amazing and the home made ice cream was fantastic, the staff were pleasant... More

We stayed in the ground floor annexe - all very comfortable and absolutely nothing to complain about except slightly dodgey wifi. Why can't hotels get this right? It's a basic requirement now. To the meal which we thought was fabulous - just so tasty. Worth a detour to eat here.

A great place to stay and dine with a brilliant local ale and good wine . We went for a long bike ride through old villages with a beautiful scenery to admire . This location can appeal to the natives as much as to the foreign tourist as this is very quintessential English countryside . Enjoy it

This superb pub has recently been refurbished. Now with much bigger dining area and much warmer, it is worth a visit. The food has providence and is always good, but the service was somewhat lacking. Maybe due to the fact they are so busy! We arrived early for our table and waited for friends to join us. We ordered drinks,... More
