I had the pleasure of hosting my wedding at Il Grande Prato from Sept 6 - 11, 2022. Leading up to the wedding, Giulia was an amazing host/contact, always willing to jump on a video call or text via WhatsApp to answer questions. She provided a full list of complete pricing for meals, and activities that could be booked either internally or externally - very organized. Also, she made billing and payment with us and the guests very simple, especially given there were changes throughout the week as guests offered to pay for stuff as 'gifts' at the wedding. This easy and clear billing made our departure seamless and allowed us to leave on a high note, which I really appreciate! You never know what you expect when you book a destination wedding overseas at a place unfamiliar, but my partner and I were blown away by the venue's range of private sleeping options, the friendliness of her staff - including her wonderful Chef Deborah - and her willingness to constantly go above and beyond! We hosted 34 people, mostly couples, who each had their own private room, many with an en-suite and included either a private entrance or a shared kitchen/lounge space. It was a perfect venue for a wedding with all of the buildings scattered around a main house that included large tables for dinner, and a courtyard for social activities. The pool area was also fantastic, with the entire large pool being plunge height and plenty of lounge areas nearby. If you're considering hosting a wedding in Tuscany, look no further as Il Grande Prato can truly bring your vision to life. They were incredibly accommodating, the meals were amazing, and Giulia and her team really went the extra mile to make this stay special for us. Thank you to the entire team at Il Grande Prato from the bottom of our hearts!

BEST PLACE WE STAYED AT IN OUR 4 WEEK VACATION IN ITALY. Il Grande Prato is a *gorgeous* farmhouse, impeccably renovated; so classy and so timeless, offering endless amenities and romantic views. Most importantly: The food was amazing. So fresh. The rooms very incredibly clean and well taken care of. The staff was co courteous, so attentive to every little detail. The place itself is amazing. Trust me. A-MAZING. You can walk around enjoying a glass of wine, chilling in the pool, playing tennis.. you name it. I'd give 6 start if I could. Special kudos to Giulia, the owner of this incredible place, that made us feel right at home from the first second we got there. We are 100% going back.

I will dream about Il Grande Prato for the rest of my days, it is quintessential Tuscan countryside villa, and it’s wonderful. It’s not only the natural beauty of the place that’s amazing its also the people that are behind it that make it so special. We hosted our wedding at Il Grande Prato in September of 2021, a tough year for destination weddings. We planned the original date for 2020, but due to COVID, had to reschedule. Giulia, the wonderful owner, was so kind and helpful throughout the whole process via FaceTime. She has the special ability to put you at ease and the patience to help plan a trip for 50+ people. She and her amazing staff made us all feel at home and completely welcome. Giulia was very hands on for our group, she helped us with all the logistical needs of a wedding party of 54. She also has many great local venders that she can make connections to for wedding needs. For instance, a local bakery for the cake, and local florists and photographers. She brought us to town and gave us a tour of the downtown area and showed us how to get around. She also has many great recommendations for local restaurants, wineries and day trips. Il Grande Prato is located about 45 min away from Florence. There is a train station in the town center and a local cab that Giulia is able to call on whenever we needed passage to the center, about 10min drive. She also has contacts for private drivers for any excursion or day trips. If you’re really lucky you might get a ride in her vintage VW bus. The wonderful thing about Il Grande Prato is that you won’t actually want to leave. The food that’s made in its kitchen is some of the best I’ve ever eaten. We had a rehearsal dinner, a full wedding and some smaller dinners earlier in the week that were all amazing. She has a wonderful chef on staff who is one of the sweetest and most talented Italian cooks I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. The rehearsal dinner was a “pizza party” that was cooked in their outdoor pizza oven and a BBQ of meats and veggies. It was amazing. In preparation of the wedding meal we sat down with the chef a few days before and hand picked the menu from all local fresh ingredients. Simply fantastic. They also easily accommodated our gluten free and vegetarian guests. The grounds are beautiful, it was exactly what we were looking for in a wedding location. There were long vistas with fantastic views, great for wedding photos. The pool was refreshing and clean with lots of seating and spots to relax both covered and open to the sun. Our personal favorite spot on the whole property was the pergola covered patio with huge marble tables and seating for 20+ people. It was the main hangout spot every night, open to the air with charming lighting. Great spot to drink wine, eat and generally hang out. There were so many little surprises dotted around the property, all charming. The rooms were all comfortable, clean with private bathrooms. The breakfast that was provided every day was pretty substantial and included a rotating selection of delicious breads, fruits, local honey and yogurt, coffee etc. Another perk while staying at IGP is the family run restaurant right down the street about 3 minute walk down the quite country lane. Chiosco Ai Renai was able to host us for spill over dinners and aperitivo. The venue works closely with them and we were able to host some pre events in their amazing courtyard. Table with a view is an understatement. We feel so lucky that we stumbled onto Giulia and her fantastic home. It was a perfect week and a seamless wedding. She and her staff made everything so easy and fun. We can’t recommend this place enough, and well go again.

We organised a Christmas party in 30 people at the Grande Prato. We had a typical Tuscany dinner in the dining hall, everything was very delicious. We all stayed the night organized in the rooms. It's a really lovely place, the staff is really kind and helpful. Definitely recommend.

The location enabled us to do day trips and discover Tuscany. We had a wonderful stay at Il Grande Prato. The property has many facilities including a pool and numerous sitting areas to admire the soft Tuscan hills. Good food, clean rooms and a very welcoming host Giulia and her friendly staff.

Where to even begin? My wife and I were married at IGP this past September and it was hands-down the best decision we ever made. We spent 4 nights and days with Giulia and her incredible team and our expectations were blown out of the water. Photos of the property do not do it justice. It is simply beautiful and the rooms/apartments were perfect. We were easily able to accommodate 30+ guests comfortably. We had support from the staff around the clock for help getting people to the property (it can be hard to find late at night. You are in the countryside), getting directions to places in town, making meal accommodations, etc. Speaking of meals... unbelievable authentic cuisine for every meal we had at the house. Rustic and delicious. Oh, and they were able to accommodate our gluten free and vegetarian guests with equally fantastic meals. I cannot say enough. This review does not do IGP service. It really is that special. This place would be perfect for a getaway, reunion, party or wedding. I cannot say enough about the time we had, the staff, or the venue. 10/10 across the board. We will definitely be back!

Everything about The Villa, Il Grande Prato, was delightful, from beginning to end! Our hostess, Giulia, and all of her assistants and family were so welcoming and attentive throughout our stay at this beautiful mountaintop resort where we gathered to celebrate a very special birthday. The views are fantastic, the food delectable and the smiles of everyone were contagious.....I can't say enough about this fabulous villa and it's staff! Wonderful vacation!!

I led a yoga retreat (14 people total) to this venue and our experiences could not have been better. The owner, Giulia, is a very gracious host. She and her staff were helpful and made everything beginning to end flow seamlessly. All in attendance agreed that the food was some of the best they had ever eaten. Rooms and the grounds are clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Quiet with beautiful views. An all around magical experience!!!!

This is an absolute jewel of somewhere to stay. The buildings are beautiful and there is a mixture of communal and private areas. The rooms are all very different depending where you are. Gulia and her team especially Azzura are wonderful and so friendly and helpful. They will do whatever they can to make your stay special. The scenery and grounds are wonderful. We had really hot weather so the salt water pool was glorious! Lots of areas including shady areas to chill out and relax. Azzura’s mother is the cook and we had some wonderful home cooked local food. The home cooked pizzas were great too. A definite must stay if you are in the area especially if you have a large group who want to be together.

I helped organize a high school reunion for my graduating class. I had always fantasized about renting a rustic Tuscan villa with friends that provided Al Fresco dining in the countryside. IGP delivered 1000 percent! Gulia and her staff, particularly Azurra were extremely attentive, friendly and hard-working. The planning for our event went smoothly, they tuned in to our needs and provided advice on how to set up rooms, meals and organize excursions and entertainment on site. They allowed us to reserve a large block of rooms with a small deposit so we could work with our group to get them to commit. IGP staff checked in to make sure we had what we needed always asking not only if things were ok but were we happy. We really were! The venue provides both private and communal hangouts and lovely rooms. The pool is sparkling clean with saltwater instead of chlorine which is so nice. There was plenty of shaded spaces so we lounged for hours chatting poolside and after meals. The view was inspiring - providing panoramic vistas of the countryside with lovely lounge chairs. The food was FABULOUS. Azurra’s mom was our cook and she totally delivered a great selection of local dishes that were delicious and beautifully presented. The Lincoln Class of 81 will be forever grateful for the many memories we created in your Tuscan paradise.
